I was very dissatisfied with them. The coupon was good for flower arranging class. When I bought it, it was supposed to be valued at $34 and I paid $17 for it. It was supposed to be a flower arranging class for one hour with all the necessary things to make the arrangement. When I called about it, they said that they were filled up. I told them that they should have as many classes as they had sold the coupons. They should have had as many classes as many coupons which were sold. She told me that instead of coupon she would give me a kit and I could go and pick it up. So I went and picked it up. It was some flowers and a vase with instructions. I didn’t think there were too many flowers. I didn’t say anything because they were just weird. They made a big deal about it. They were left over flowers and I thought the instructions would make up for that. The instructions told me to do what I felt. That made me furious. I was just extremely disappointed. I did complain. I got my money back through living social as I had gone to them through them. The price was ridiculous for what they gave. I thought I was paying for the class. They were not even worth for what I paid. They were terrible. I had to give them advance notice. Flowers shops always have stuffs available.

The salesperson was very pleasant and I did not express my dissatisfaction to her. I don't know if she personally was responsible for this rip-off, so I don't like to put her on the spot. I am not comfortable confronting people, and I hate being put in this position. I will just never go back and I will tell everyone about my bad experience.
Description of Work: I bought a Living Social deal from Dahlia for a one-hour flower-arranging workshop, that included all materials, instruction, and a glass of wine. The value was $34. When i called to schedule my class, I was told that they were all filled and I would have to accept a "kit." I thought this was ridiculous. They obviously had not planned out this offer. But it was close to the expiration date so i agreed.I had to make an appointment, so i expected that the flowers would be fresh. I just picked up my "kit" and what a joke. I got a generic glass vase stuffed with a torn piece of mesh, "instructions," and the flowers: 2 pieces of greenery, a twig, 3 stems of cheap flowers, and 4 old, browning roses. The salesperson made a big deal of asking me if i "minded" if she gave me extra flowers, like she was really doing me a favor. That's when she added the old roses. She never mentioned the glass of wine I was supposed to get. When I got home and really looked at everything, and read the "instructions," I couldn't believe it. It was one sheet that basically said "Do whatever you want, whatever makes you feel good."No actual help. I thought since they got away with not holding the class, at least they would make it up with some nice flowers. There is no way I got a $17 arrangement, much less a $34 one, since they did not have to do any work. I could have gotten a better bouquet at any grocery store for half the price. Living Social deals are a marketing tool used by businesses to acquaint buyers with their services. The idea is to get you to come back. I will NEVER go back to Dahlia, I think i was ripped off and blown off.

I had been meaning to try Dahlia since it opened, and finally did when I wanted to get some flowers for a friend. The florist was very friendly and helpful. She suggested a fun, kind of funky arrangement, which sounded good. She showed me some choices for a vase and I selected one in a fishbowl style. The final result was very pretty - she had wrapped the vase in a cardboard box with tissue paper and put some bright pink feathers around the arrangement. It was unusual, fun, and very pretty. I was very happy with it, as was my friend. I'll definitely be back.
Description of Work: I went to Dahlia to purchase a flower arrangement for a friend who was recovering from surgery. I talked to the florist and we decided on a small bouquet in bright colors - pink, orange, and green. The arrangement was fairly compact and was placed in a small fishbowl style vase. The flowers were then boxed with tissue paper in a cardboard box. The end result was an unusual and beautiful display.
