My wife and I needed a tile backsplash installed in a home we were remodeling. I was referred to Tile by Chris by a past client. When I called Chris on 7/14/22, he informed me that he was booked until mid August. I shared that we wanted to have the house listed for sale ASAP. He squeezed us in and had the job completed by 7/16/22!!!! Not only was the job fairly priced, it looks phenomenal. We seriously couldn’t be happier with his quality of work and his communication. We will definitely be calling Tile by Chris for all of our future tile needs!

Chris and his crew were wonderful. His tile guy, Jose, is amazing and was meticulous about the tile placement. We had 2 patterned tiles and one geometric shape and it was all laid perfect. I had all of this work done on our house while we were living in a different state. Chris made sure to keep me updated, send pictures, and let me know about any hiccups (like my vanity being defective). I completely trusted him and his work and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for anything. He was recommended to us by a neighbor and I will continue to recommend him!

Hiring Chris was a great decision. We were victims of poor construction on a bathroom remodel and Chris and his crew came in, essentially demoed all of the work performed by the previous contractor and made it right. His communication is excellent, they started on time and finished on schedule. We are so pleased with the quality and professionalism of Chris and his crew compared to what we had before. We’ve already asked for a quote for another bathroom remodel and plan to use Chris for this as well.

Chris and his team did a great job installing about 300sf of 8’’x48’’ porcelain tile my screen porch. The tile was installed over a stamped concrete base. Chris doesn’t take shortcuts and did the job correctly by first leveling the existing stamped concrete and then installing an anti-fracture membrane. I received quotes from other companies that insisted they could install the tile directly on the stamped concrete base. After doing my own research I decided Chris had the right approach and would do the job properly. They completed the work on time and always cleaned up at the end of the day. I have already recommended him to other friends and would use him again on a future project.

Chris and his team did a wonderful job. I had new tile floors installed in the kitchen, two bathrooms, and a laundry. I also had my old shower removed and a new one installed with additional trim that connected the bathtub to the shower. Chris is a true craftsman at his work and sets the standard for his whole team. The work started on time, was diligently executed, and the results were nothing short of excellent. I can recommend Tile by Chris without reservation and will definitely use him again.

Chris and his team did an excellent job. The whole house was being renovated and several trades were working at the house at the time. Chris worked very well with the other contractors and everyone's work was finished on time. Chris was also very helpful along the way, providing advice the greatly improved the outcome. I have renovated and installed numerous high-end bathrooms and if I had known about Chris in the past, it would have saved me a lot of disappointment.. Chris takes great pride in his impeccable work and really cares whether his customer is happy. I didn't mind waiting for him because it was imperative that our bathroom be restored properly. The new stone needed to be integrated with the existing Italian limestone with an unusual, unmatchable hue (even different parts of the same quarry can produce different hues of limestone). Ultimately, what was most important to us was the skill of the tile installer. I have hired installers who could not mix new grout to match the old, failed to mix up the stone so that the colors were dispersed properly on the wall, and/or did not realize that they needed to build up the surface under the new stone so it was perfectly level with the old. One can easily spend a small fortune and end up unhappy. Not with Chris. There is no part of stone installation that he doesn't understand and you will absolutely love his work. He integrated the stone flawlessly. Chris was recommended by a master plumber who has seen thousands of tile jobs. Don't get impatient and hire anyone who can do your work tomorrow. The angst of a wait goes away but an imperfect job purchased with your hard-earned money lasts forever. Oh! We used Chris for our master bath remodel project earlier this year, and would highly recommend. Chris was more than a tile installer...it felt like working with a general contractor. He was affordable, kept his schedule (finishing earlier than quoted), and his workers were respectful and cleaned up well behind themselves. When we had a design choice to make, Chris was available to offer opinions and suggestions of what would add the most value to the space. Finally, Chris insists that the work is done well, and offers to come back annually for inspections and sealing (at no additional charge). Definitely recommend.

I called Chris to remodel our master bathroom based on the work he did for a friend in the neighborhood. He promptly returned my phone call and set up an appointment. He arrived on time, and we discussed the plan for the bathroom. It entailed a fairly major effort to convert our 21 year-old old, very small shower and large but generally rarely used tub into a large shower and small Japanese soaking tub. I presented Chris with a drawing of what we had in mind. He understood what needed to be done and got us on the schedule within a few weeks. During that time, he advised us about plumbing (I texted him several times with questions, as we wanted to add a hand shower on a slide bar, rain shower, and fixed shower, in addition to a separate tub spout and hand shower for the soaking tub) and tile selection. We purchased the tub and all the plumbing fixtures ourselves. Chris has accounts with several local tile shops where we could look at tile choices, and he met us at one of them on a Saturday to discuss some options we were considering. We made a great choice of tile for the floor and shower walls based largely on his guidance. We were able to buy from one of the tile shops at Chris's discounted "trade prices". Chris picked up the tile and other installation materials and brought them to our house. The installation process went very smoothly. He told me daily when he would arrive, and he and the crew were on time every day. From demo to plumbing to electrical, Chris communicated the schedule so we always knew what was coming next. Chris outsources these trades, but the guys he used were very good and professional. They did a nice job keeping the work area clean each day by placing drop cloths on the floor to prevent dirt and damage to our floors as they moved in and out. They also cleaned up the bathroom at the end of each workday and kept the garage fairly tidy throughout the three-week project. His tile installer Jose is an artisan - the meticulous detail and care he took to make sure the tile was square, cuts were precise, and joints were even resulted in an amazing finished product that we can't stop staring at -- it looks so good, truly the spa-like room that we envisioned! Since the project was completed, we have had a couple of shower glass companies visit to quote shower doors, and they have commented on how great the finished product looks. One of them was checking the levelness of the walls as he measured the space for glass, and he said he hasn't seen many tile jobs that match the high-quality of ours. It is also worth mentioning that we were concerned about Covid given the times we live in. Chris, Jose and all subs wore face masks throughout the entire project without being asked. We were very pleased with the pace, communication, and execution of the project and are absolutely thrilled with the end result. We highly recommend Tile by Chris!

Chris die our kitchen backsplash over a year ago. He did a beautiful job and so when we needed a bathroom done we called him again. He does quality work. He is responsive, shows up when he says and leaves thing very neat. I have texted him with questions and he usually responds immediately. He is an artisan and a pleasure to work with!

If you need a great tile installer, don't hesitate to call Chris. He did an amazing job on our kitchen backsplash. He had great communication, set clear expectations, and was always on time. My shower pan was leaking and my plumber recommended Chris Demeo to repair and re-tile it. I called on a Thursday, got him on the first try and he scheduled a time to come on Saturday morning. He sounded professional and was right on time. He looked at the shower and gave me an approximate price but wouldn't put me on his schedule until he sent me an agreement which he said I would get the next day (Sunday) or Monday morning. Didn't hear from him but decided to exercise some patience and give him until the end of the week to get back to me - even though I was anxious to get on his schedule and not waste time getting my shower back in working order. Still not hearing from him by Friday, I called again. He made it clear he would not put me on his schedule until he sent me the agreement and said he'd been busy but would send it that night or the next morning. When it didn't come the next day I realized that I was dealing with one of those contractors. You know the kind I mean. I couldn't get back the time he wasted but I sure wasn't going to let him waste any more. I moved on to the next contractor on my short list, got a price, signed an agreement and got on their schedule. It's been weeks now and I never heard from Demeo again after that second call so he gets an "F" from me. Not for his quality of work but for his inability to manage his work.
