Horrible experience. I purchased a couch on feb 5th. I was told it was a 4 week wait on getting the couch delivered. I checked with them 4 weeks in and was told that the wait was 4-6 weeks and they had no update for me. I called back at 6 weeks and was told that the wait was 6-7 weeks and they had no update. Last week I found out I am getting transferred to Charlotte NC w my job so I called in to discuss canceling my order. I understood that I would probably pay a fee to cancel (even though the couch hadn't shipped from the manufacturer at 7 weeks). I was reminded that their cancelation policy is 24 hours, and referred to cal back and speak w Sheryl. Each time I have tried to call her I am told she is off work. This company has totally come across as a scam and I will update this review with the outcome of my attempt for resolution.

We purchased a sofa, loveseat, ottoman, and end table on June 1, 2011. The salesperson suggested the 5 year extended warranty. He said that it would "cover everything except pet damage". Based on this, we purchased the warranty. In June 2013, we had tears and holes on the surface of the sofa. We submitted a claim to Montage Furniture Service. The claim was denied citing that the warranty does not cover "cracking or peeling". Since this was contrary to the salesperson, who said that it would "cover everything except pet damage", I went in to Unclaimed Furniture on June 28, 2013. I asked to speak with a manager. There was no manager available. They had "gone to the bank". I spoke with the man who was there and explained the problem. This man (I don't know his name, he had no nametag, but he was an African American man probably 40-50 years old.) said that the warranty only covers accidental damage, like if you sat down on the sofa and your keys punctured the material. I told him that was not what the salesperson told me. He said that the damage I showed him in the pictures was "normal wear and tear". For a 2 year old sofa, if this is "normal wear and tear", I said it is an inferior product. He told me that they sell sofas from $300 - $2,000, and since mine was at the lower end, I shouldn't expect it to be as good. Basically, you get what you pay for. I again said that for the age, this should not be ?normal wear and tear?. He sent me down to the Customer Service person in the warehouse. This woman, again no name, no nametag, but she was blonde, and probably 40-50 years old, repeated the same things as the man above. She said that cracking comes from "body oils and body lotions ". We do not use body lotions, and do not have excessive body oils. She told me that they would do nothing for me. I believe they sold us an inferior product, and misrepresented the extended warranty.
Description of Work: 1) Sold inferior product and wouldn't back it up. 2) Misrepresented extended warranty.

I had looked everywhere, for new furniture that I not only liked, but was affordable. I heard about Unclaimed Furniture from my landlord and decided to go check it out. The 2 huge showrooms in the warehouse were full of great furniture. After spending about an hour walking around looking at the furniture, I found a perfect couch and love seat that I just had to have. I was very disappointed to find out that I had to special order the items in the showroom because I was moving in that day to my new apartment. After talking with the sales people for a while, and since I happened to still have my trailer on hand from moving in, they agreed to sell me the floor model for me to take home! I was so happy and have loved the couch and love seat ever since. It was great that the sales people were able to accommodate me in order to secure the sale!

My husband and I had been all over town looking for furniture for our living room. We were moving into our first home together and we had nothing for the living room. After visiting 5 or 6 places in the Greenville area, my father in law told us about Unclaimed Furniture. My father in law builds homes, and they frequently bought furniture from Unclaimed to furnish their model homes with. We were told that we would get a good price, and also a business discount. We went into Unclaimed, which consists of two showrooms, one which has mostly Ashley Furniture and the other has Broyhill Furniture. We found a gorgeous microfiber living room set that we had seen at the Ashley home store, and it was 200 dollars cheaper at Unclaimed! We were very excited and asked a salesperson about it. Only to be told that it would have to be ordered and could take about 6 weeks to receive! We were moving into our house within days and, we were both disappointed. However, the salesperson asked if we had went to the far end of the huge showroom where they have a clearance center. We hadn't, so we walked down there. Imagine our surprise when we saw the exact couch and love seat that we had been looking at, only a different color. According to the sign on the couches, it was a repo I guess someone had gotten it financed and did not pay but, you could not tell. They both looked just as new as the set we had been looking at. The best part was the price. At Ashley, the cost was 1,000 dollars. In the showroom, the cost was 800. The set we were looking at was only 300 dollars! We couldn't believe our good look as we told the salesperson that we wanted the set. As we walked to the front to pay, we noticed a wood, glass, and chrome table set end table, coffee table, and large sofa table, marked down to 150 dollars for the set! We purchased this also! For an entire living room set three tables, a couch and a loveseat, we paid under 500 dollars, half the cost of the couch and loveseat alone from the retailer! Since then, we have referred several people there, who have bought everything from a buffet table, to a dining room set, to a bedroom set. When we need more furniture, Unclaimed will be the first stop that we make.
Description of Work: My husband and I went here in order to find living room furniture for our new home.
