REEDS JEWELERS

Horrible!  Took my ring in to get enlarged.  After 27 years it was a bit tight and I needed it resized.  I was told I would get my ring back and it would be good as new.  I was under no other impression after talking to the sales person that I would be getting anything other than my ring back.  She stated that I wouldn't be able to see where they would cut the ring and reshape it to size.  Then Reeds sent it away to be resized and the company that did the work replaced my ring with a new one.  I had that ring for 27 years and was told I would get it back.  Apparently the company that Reeds sent it to has a repair or replace policy.  It wasn't until after I went to pick up my ring I was then told about this policy.  The store manager later told me he was aware that they may replace my ring and the Reeds salesperson should have told me that I may not get my ring back but that he didn't see any issue, I got a new ring and it is just like the one I purchased 27 years ago.  How can a person be so callus? I had that ring all these years. Being in the military I carried it all over the world with me, to include two tours of combat.  All those dings and scratchs were filled with memories.  It wasn't perfect but it was a treasured item that I trusted to Reeds.  The manager at first didn't see any reason why I wouldn't be happy with the new ring I received.  He tried to get my original ring back but the company could not retrieve it.  Apparently they already melted it down.  The manager later called me and told me there was nothing he could do, then made an off handed joke about it. 
None of this would not have happened if the the sales rep informed me prior to taking my ring that I may not get the original back.
Just the opposite, I was I told that my ring would look as good as new.  Little did I expect I'd never see it again. 
The manager didn't charge me for the service.  I took possession of the new ring.
