Furniture - Sales
We will not ever deal with Haverty's again. And, we have 3 rooms of furniture to purchase in the next 12 months. Why? First, the furniture we bought is not well made. The lateral file drawer doesn't hold files as well as it should and the wood (if we can call it that) hasn't worn well.
We have a desk chair with one arm that is broken and lying on the floor. I called Guardsman. After more than 2 months, they sent out a repair crew (3 of them, really) who inserted a larger bolt to secure the arm. This lasted less than 2 months. When I submitted the claim again, they denied it, claiming it isn't covered and they should not have repaired it the last time.
Unhappy with this service, I called Haverty's. They have someone who looks into claims denied by Guardsman. After 1 week, I called back. After another week has elapsed, still no call about this. Two weeks seem like a very long time for even a phone call.
So. I will not be using Haverty's in the future, and NEVER will I use Guardsman.
