Davis Tree Service reps responded quickly and did a great job. The huge tulip poplar had been struck by lightning and could have fallen on the house. They cut down as much as they could and removed the debris from the yard. We were very satisfied with the job.

Punctual and professional for estimate. Felt they would have done a great job, but price was out of line.

I met with an salesman from the company to discuss the work. An estimate was in my hands later that same day. The work was scheduled around my needs and finally set for January 3rd. They were ontime, professional and completed all work and cleaned up properly. I felt very comfortable that these guys knew what they were doing. They had professional equipment including a stumpgrinder and a chipper and all chips, leaves and branches were taken away. I don't know if they were the cheapest guys around as I did not solicit a second quote, but they were certainly trouble free.

Came to house and gave an estimate on same day company was called. Went to city hall to get permit, showed up on time and finished in six hours. Good crew. All were professional. Any future tree service will be done by them.

The girl that came out, she really knew her stuff. She came for the estimate and explained in full detail what needed to be done. It looked much better once they were finished and we felt safer. They did a great job on the pruning. Because we had some major things being done, they threw in a few minor things, like pulling up some bushes. She gave some advice about how to take care of these things. When the guys came out to work, she was there directing and was very involved. They also did a great job with clean up.

They were very good and professional. They were nice and thorough. Their pricing seemed reasonable to me.

There were 7 men working for 8 hours to get the job done. The men had to work up a hill and had to move all the debris and branches by going around the house because the garage was in the way. They were very professional, and spared my azaleas and camellias during the work. The owner, Roger Davis, came by several times during the day to check on the progress being made. He had given me a price for the work that I was satisfied with, but then actually reduced it from $4750 to $4000. I will certainly use them in the future.

I called on Friday 7/9/10 to set up a time for an estimate. Scott said he would come by mid-day on Saturday (the following day). He never showed up NOR did he ever call to say he couldn't make it. I have yet to hear from them and it is Friday, July 23. I spent my entire Saturday waiting for him. He should have called to tell me he would not be able to make it and offered another date when he COULD make it. Davis Tree company runs a nice ad in the newspaper. But what they advertise in the ad, in my case, did not apply to my experience with them.

My neighbor told me Davis was coming the next day to work in his yard. I contacted them and their representative showed up within an hour to offer suggestions and give a written estimate. They showed up the next day and completed the job according to the estimate, and even removed some additional items at no extra cost. The cleanup and removal was outstanding and the workmanship very professional. They were not the cheapest but their price was competitive and I'd recommend them to any one looking for a job well done.

Crew of 8 people arrived on time and finished the job withing 3 hours. Have used them twice over last 3 years and found the work to be excellent.

Received an earlier estimate for additional tree that had already fallen on ground. Revised estimate was below two other estimates for only one tree removal. Agreed on estimate and tree was removed the next day. Cleanup and stump grinding also completed same day. They accidentally had one limb fall on roof and put a small hole in roof. I was promptly informed. They ground the backyard tree stump for free, and repaired the roof the next day before requesting any payment.

They are certified arborists. The pricing sort of became variable and open ended since they didn't give you a written estimate and they don't provide you with printed pricing, only a verbal estimate. The technical work they did though was excellent and their safety work was excellent as well, but to avoid any surprises on the cost, you may want to ask for something in writing or request a pre-agreement beforehand. We were very pleased with the entire event except for the pricing matter, but we would definitely use them again in the future.
