We were able to get an appointment only 2 days after calling Charleston Electric. I received several calls from the company office keeping me apprised of Paul's arrival time. He arrived at the exact time expected. He worked quickly and with confidence and was very knowledgeable. One fixture needed a part that was longer than the part included and Paul had that spare part in his truck and expertly swapped it to make the fixture fit the space. We were very impressed with Paul and his service and the professional installation. We will use this company again when we need electricial work for sure.

Paul Schuck was professional, quickly determining the problem and the rewiring that was needed. He explained in layman's terms the work needed and the procedures done. He took special care moving the dishwasher on our newly installed tiled floor (no scratches). He also replaced a 3 way hall light switch. I will request Paul again for the wiring of my new dishwasher. Very happy with the company and Paul's service.

Jeremy was punctual and friendly. He explained what he was doing and what caused the outlet to fail. He also replaced a faulty light switch. My appointment was scheduled for the next day, but a spot opened up and I was able to get my dryer back in operation on the same day I called for service.

All of the work was completed in an excellent and followed the required electrical codes. Jeremy Hopson and Michael installed all of the electrical work very quickly. They even explained the correct procedures for the generator interlock operation, as well as watched me operate the generator to ensure ever thing was connected correctly. Jeremy and Michael are great representatives of this company.

Jeremy did an excellent job of explaining that smoke detectors can wear out and have an expiration date on them. (Ours expired a year before we bought our newly built home in 2008!) He installed 4 new replacements, explained how to test and synchronize them.

Steve Robinson did a terrific job with a clean and neat installation under less than optimum conditions (crawl space wiring, etc). Called on Monday and the job was done by Thursday. Very professional work - highly recommend this company.

It went as expected

I had a power surge that affected my dryer and my garage lighting. Michael and Jeremy came out to inspect and troubleshoot the problem. They were very professional, knowledgeable, honest and courteous. They recommended that I install a surge protector in my breaker box. They also recommended that I replace outlet covers and switch covers. They said that my smoke detectors needed to be upgraded as well. The lighting in my kitchen is florescent and they recommended replacing the whole unit since the ballast is probably bad. I keep having to constantly keep flipping the switch to get it to work. I will definitely take their advice under consideration. I will install new smoke detectors, switch and plate covers. Thanks so much for your help today. I really appreciated it!

Excellent work! Jeremy Hopson, as lead Electrician and Michael as the assistant, they replaced the 4 GFCI Exterior Plugs for me in less than one hour. I had the 4 GFCI's. Jeremy also consulted me concerning the installation of the Generator Interlock Switch, new wiring and the installation of the exterior Generator Power Box. He also went above and beyond recommending I need to install a small access door below my power box. All work and consultations were first rate, and easy to follow. Jeremy is a A+ Lead Electrician and Michael is an extremely talented assistant. They BOTH are great assets and representatives of Charleston-Electric.

Jeremy and his crew did an outstanding job adding power and light to our addition. Whole job estimated for 2 full days and completed in one. I would recommend to anyone that this team be hired. We had a pretty big job adding 15 plugs, 12 recessed lights, a second breaker box with surge protectors and switches all around to a new room in house that had no power at all. Very professional, Great Price and cleaned up as if they were never here. I will definitely hire this team for future projects.

Matt H. was fantastic. He took care of the old fan and made it loo so simple. He was professional, actually came a day early, which worked out really well for me. It took him no time to take down the old fan and replace the new one. I was impressed. I had had someone from another company change a fan out 2 years ago. The guy took 3 hours. I was so shocked and didn't really want go through that again, but knew that it was not the greatest idea to try to change the fan myself. So, I read the reviews on Angie's list and chose Charleston Electric. So glad I did. I would want Matt to come out and fix any electrical problem. He is trustworthy, knowledgeable, personable, and fast. I have already recommended him to a friend on Sullivan's for her electrical work. She is planning to call and ask for Matt.

Jeremy diagnosed the problem as a bad GFCI in one of the 2. After correcting that issue, he informed me we should have a whole house protector which he had with him and installed as part of my 1 hour service charge. Jeremy was extremely professional and completely explained all work he performed. He arrived well within the scheduled window. Although more expensive than I anticipated, I would definitely use Charleston Electric again.
