Horrible customer service. Was given a pick up date and time. Got there and stood around for 3 hours. Camper was not ready. Scheduled a second pick up date and time a week later and camper still wasn’t ready to go. approached manager to complain, his response was, “did you purchase something because I don’t recognize you?” Also told by the salesman “these types of services are just not a priority, I’m sorry.”

Had a fifth wheel for sale and was interested to see how consignment worked so I called Camping World several times over the past year and asked for the manager and several times for the sales manager. I was selling the fifth wheel myself but I was curious about how consignment worked in case that might have been an option. Neither person ever returned my call. Once I went by Camping World and was told the manager was busy because they were short of sales staff and he would return my call. He never called. Very disappointed in their lack of courtesy - nothing professional about this kind of treatment of customers. My husband and I camped for years and were members of the Camping World President's Club and spent lots of money there. I'm sorry that we're no longer camping, our fifth wheel has been sold, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with Camping World any more.
Description of Work: No response.

1 They didn't have the new one ready to go at the appointed time. They were just starting to do the clean up, suppose to be a complete detail job. 2 At the last minute they accused me of misrepresenting my trade in camper, they every opportunity to do an apprasial but chose not to. 3 Be very careful, get everything in writing, they are like your worst car dealer experience. 4 They seem to carry very high quality products, I was buying used so who knows, they are the major camping supplies provider, I did get a fair deal, no buyers remorse
Description of Work: I traded in a camper for a new one

We were able to order our parts at a very good on-line sale through Camping World. In addition, since we are Lifetime Good Sam Club members we got an additional discount. Once the parts arrived we took them to Camping World to be installed, which was to require at least 8 hours of the services of a mechanic skilled in this type of upgrade (the Air Lift has some electrical controls, etc.). The only glitch we had was that one of the sway bars previously ordered by us was not the right one. This is a common problem when ordering on-line (sometimes you are just not able to narrow your choice down to and quot;without a doubtand quot;, especially on weekends). So we had to wait until the rear sway bar was exchanged. This glitch was not the fault of our Camping World, but they took care of the parts exchange even though we had ordered the parts ourselves on-line. Since we had to wait, at one point I expressed concern that our refrigerator would remain closed and not running for too many days and might mildew. On the weekend a customer service employee called me on his cell phone (from inside our motorhome which was raised up on a lift) to ask me exactly what I wanted him to do with the refrigerator. I really appreciated that communication. Prices are generally high on equipment for motorhomes. It is somewhat specialized and all companies take a bit of advantage of that situation. This is the only reason why I gave Camping World only a and quot;goodand quot; on prices. However, the equipment is usually of high quality and built to last. We appreciated the fact that Camping World took care of us as well as they did, since our rig tied up one service bay, apparently, for a week.
Description of Work: We had an extensive suspension upgrade that we wanted done on our Class A motorhome. Ours is an "entry level" Winnebago motor home that did not provide such things as sway bars and Air LIft air ride suspension as standard equipment. After two long trips we wanted this done.
