They have not started on the project yet. They are coming as soon as the paperwork goes through for payment. Both companies gave a good presentation. I looked at 3 things. Presentation, assessment of work to be done, and cost. Cantey was too expensive. They were pushing for a piece of equipment to be buried under the house which I did not feel I needed because there was no water. The walls and crawlspace were dry. The one thing Mount Valley said that sold me was they wanted to put insulated treated boarding (forgot what they called it) on the walls and plastic over all of that, which is what I was thinking about. The difference in price was $9000. That also helped with my decision. I will write a review again after it is over. I was going to have 3 companies come and give me a price and how they would proceed. But I was very impressed with Mount Valley. Ask me again in 3 weeks.

Mount Valley Foundation Services is a very reputable company, employing engineers that know the residential side of the business! They are flexible to meet the needs of the customer. In our case, the original estimate was in error. The error was corrected, with the foreman working with the MVFS office, at no additional cost to us! The work crew was very professional!

Wow!!!, is all i can say. These guys are the real deal. They really worked extremely hard, were professional and know what they are doing. The crew was awesome. The crew Leader was Marty Padgett and he did just that,.. He was the leader but what was so great about his leadership they knew what to do and he pointed the way and with no standing around they were on it. The crew who worked on my project was Robert Dunn, Josh Robinson, Damian Cousins and of course the Crew Leader, Marty Padgett.. The thing about this review is, I asked them how to go about writing a review or a letter on commendation about the work ethic i have experienced with this company so far. Company still has not reached out to me so that they can come back and level my floors in my kitchen and family room that I paid them to do. My floors are in the same condition that they were in before and after they came on March 25 of this year. When I call them they will always say that they will call me back and they never do. Either come back and do the job right or give me half of my money back. I trusted my valley to do this job because I saw that they have been in business for over 30 years and saw that they has a whole bunch of 5 star reviews. I read some of the bad reviews from their past customers and I feel their frustration. It makes me feel that mt valley is maybe thinking what is a handful of complaints when we have all of these 5 star reviews. In the future when hiring a company I will take into consideration their bad reviews more that a whole bunch of 5 stars. Because who knows if they are actual customers. It could be family members (mother, father, sisters , brothers, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, childrens friends) you just never know. And that is just my opinion. Mt valley is a foundation company how hard is it to level floor joist. I will even have the tile in my kitchen and family room torn up and remove so that it will be easier for them to get to the joist. I paid them 5,677 just to level my floors and make them strong that is all I need. A lot of us work very hard for our money and just cannot give away for nothing. I would think even if the mount valley people in their personal life that if you pay someone especially if you pay them thousands of dollars for a service that you want it done right. So I am asking my valley to please come back and do the job right or give me back half of my money back. U did not know something so simple could not so far be accomplish. This could have been over with along time ago. If you need for me to remove my tile so that the workers do not have to crawl underneath crawlspace to do repairs if it would be easier from top that would be no problem. But just call me back and so that we can discuss it. Hope to finally hear back from my valley so this can finally be over. Thank you.

Normally, I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews like this. But, I have never had a company treat me this poorly in my 31 years on this earth. Something needs to be said. First, the crew's behavior was completely unacceptable - They left cigarette butts and food wrappers all over my lawn, constantly wasted my time being late, broke all of the vent covers to my crawlspace, and literally screamed the words **f**king p**sy** in front of a bunch of neighborhood kids (among many, many other things). Do not trust these people in your home. Second, the job itself was completely botched, and I have the City of Charleston inspection notes to prove it. Among other things, they only encapsulated part of the crawlspace, left standing water everywhere, set up the dehumidifier wrong, and they **installed** a jack under the house so poorly that I could literally push it out of place with one finger. Understandably, I got fed up and asked how I could go about cancelling the job. They never responded to that question, I did not hear from them for almost 4 months after asking. So, I hired a local company to clean up their mess, at no small expense, and went on with my life. Then, out of the blue, after 4 months, they reached out and threatened to put a lien on my home if I did not pay up. Just to be clear, they never even sent me a bill, and they still had my $2500 deposit. I did not owe them a dime (if anything I want my damn deposit back). Yet, here they are making threats. And that, my friends, is why I am writing this review. It is understandable if your crew drops the ball with a customer. Not every job is going to go right, and even good employees have bad days. But, if you treat paying customers like absolute garbage, eventually people are going to speak up. Take your money somewhere else, Charleston. Plenty of local companies who will do right by you.

Concrete Foundation Repair
After an initial issue with services rendered, I was very unhappy and was not getting a response. I left a very negative review here. Since then they have called back, sent an Engineer to review the work done and have offered to make good, at their own cost, this issue I was having. I over reacted. They were back on site within 48 hrs and now I am very satisfied with their response and offer to complete the job. A solid company I would use them again.
