We picked up our dog close to closing time. He seemed lethargic and was limping on one of his back legs, but we assumed it was due to the running and playing he had been doing. I was a little concerned that no one had contacted me about his leg, but let it go due to the fact that it is a kennel. The next morning however, our puppy was having liquid diarrhea all over the living room. He was shivering and laying in a corner. I could tell he was sick. He was sneezing, coughing, and his eyes were watering. When I contacted The Bark Shack, I again asked what food he had been given. Before taking him, my boyfriend and I were told they eat Pedigree. When I called the second time explaining my dog's ilness, I was told that "wet food" was always mixed in with the pedigree. I then asked what brand of wet food was used and the young man did not know. This concerned me, as this was not the information I was told before bringing my dog. The owner then contacted me and tried telling me "this is what happens at kennels" and also informed me that she "did not have to tell" me what my dog was given to eat. She was very rude, full of excuses and failed to offer any kind of hhelp or reimbursement. I was told to take my dog to a vet and show them proof that he was ill because of a bug at the kennel. Low and behold, 115$ later, the vet confirmed my dog had contracted a stomach virus from the kennel. The owner half- apologized and sent more text messages full of "procedures" which were really more excuses for the poor treatment of not only my dog but of myself as a customer. I was told that if I had been an "older" customer for a long period of time, they would have helped me. Looks like new customers get treated poorly. I would never EVER reccomend this place. The staff is incompetent and the owner is rude and terribly unprofessional. Never ever again.

Absolutely wonderful with everything! The Bark Shack is absolutely wonderful! Karen takes so much time with Dashiel, our CKCS who is 8. She grooms him for us, picks up and delivers, and he stays with her anytime we are out of town. We know how he's doing daily and can tell he gets so much love while we are away on trips! Have used her many times- she is wonderful! He always looks perfect after his grooming, and as soon as he sees her he wags his tail and knows he's off to a fun adventure! Just adore it! The BEST!

Awesome experience for both myself and my dog. I was greeted at the door with a huge smile and general welcome attitude by Karen the owner. We walked through her living room surrounded by wonderful dogs all there to be boarded, groomed or Karens dogs. Big dogs were separated from small dogs. Karen was so knowledgable about the different breeds and their behavior patterns. I was slightly concerned with my Corgi mixed in with the big dogs but Karen reassured me that Corgi's do fine with all sizes and breeds. And she was correct. My dog fell right into the "family."
Bekka had a wonderful bath and nail trim plus some good playtime with lots of new found friends. Karen's staff were also just as amazing. I could feel their passion and love for all the dogs there.

This is absolutely the finest pet grooming experience we, and more importantly our poodles, have ever had. Years ago we had rescued our female from a puppy mill where she had been dreadfully treated making her exceptionally timid and fearful. We had taken our poodles to the Brk shack in advance of making an appointment. Karen understood Sophies needs at once putting her at ease. The same for Max, our male. We mad the appointment and the following week they spent the day at The Bark Shack. Karen delivered them to us at the end of the day (as part of her superb service, Karen will pick up and deliver your canine family member usually at no extra charge). They were happy, calm, and beautiful. The Bark Shack is clean and well organized. Karen has three large dogs of her own, all well adjusted. She is a caring, reliable, skilled, and intuitive professional whom we unhesitatingly recommend to anyone..

All three times she has brought them home, they have been happy to be home, but not like, " OMG get me outta here and they are happy to see her now as well. She genuinely likes animals and it's so obvious. They looked and smelled good and she followed our requests as to style of cut. OUr ison is a timid young man and he is happy both going and coming home and he lets her trim his nails! we were shocked. Have zero complaints at all.
