The vet was more non-committal than responsive. His explanations were not really clear and chose to wait a few months and re-test. Next appointment nothing was evident and chose to wait a couple more months.

I have been using them for 6 years already. I go to three veterinarians there for my two dogs. They are wonderful. All of their staff, the reception people, the technicians and everybody are very professional and friendly. They handle my dogs very well.

I love those people and they are great. They are competitive and I think everybody seems to be overpriced here compared to where I came from. I like the staff. They are very knowledgeable. They are very good with my dog. Their office station is nice. It is a nice place to sit and I feel comfortable. They were prompt. Travis Mitchell was the vet and he was very good and he explained everything in detail. They even call the next day to see how my pet is doing and that is a plus. They provide follow up care.

Bluffton Veterinary Hospital seem to be very caring about the animals. There are several vets there, 3 or 4, but we have had the same vet each time we have gone. He seems to be very caring, he spends enough time, and he doesn't seem to be in a hurry. What he is trying to do is save the cat's eye sight. One eye is already gone. He is treating her for high blood pressure. He thinks that is what has caused the loss of sight in the one eye and possible loss in the other eye. We take her in for blood pressure tests and the blood pressure is coming down with the medicine, but the cat still can't see. She is bumping into the furniture. They are not inexpensive. He seems to be very caring and so does his technicians. We would use them in the future, no sense in changing now.

I have been using them for many years. They are excellent. I find them a little expensive, but all the other places are too.

They very nice and very attentive to my Lucy. I was sure that she had an ear infection. She did not, however they did send me home with some cleaner and drops for her ears. I thought their prices were a bit high, but apparently for this area they are pretty much in line with the other veternarian practices.

brought in a cat with coughing/choking symptoms. Never been here before. Within 5 minutes of meeting with the doctor and explaining the situation, he recommended getting chest x-rays to determine the issue. Reflecting later on this (and after speaking with my prior vet back home), there are other less aggressive ways of determining what the cause is besides an x-ray (like from experience). This doc in particular was very young. The cost of 2 chest x-rays was $135. The x-rays confirmed she was having an asthma attack, so he administered a cortisone shot as well as a bronchodilator inhaler (which I determined as necessary and acceptable). Finally, he sent me home with some oral steroids. Office exam, shot and oral meds was an additional $90 = total $225
About 1 weeks later, the symptoms continued. I brought her back in and the same doctor saw her. He wanted to do a blood screening without really discussing any other options. Blood work was negative for whatever he was looking for. That cost was $115. Progress exam was an extra $20 = $135. I consider the blood work excessive and unnecessary, especially given the fact that i was already upset and concerned (like every pet owner) and we already knew the diagnosis from the previous visit.
About 2 weeks later, i decided to purchase an albuterol inhalor since the oral meds take longer for effect. This cost was $115 (but considered necessary). I was told by this doc that they would also provide me AT COST a special cat-inhaler system called AeroKat. Luckily, i researched this product before paying for it, because i found the exact same product online for $65--this vet was going to charge me $95, so i respectfully declined their price as well as their attempt to price-match the $65 after i mentioned I found a cheaper one online. Total and quot;medical servicesand quot; = $475 ($205 of which i consider fair and necessary).
That was my last straw with this place. Unless you have unlimited funds, try some where else first.
