Great! All expectations were met or exceeded. Jonathan came over yesterday when I called for a quote because I was concerned that this weekend's storm would cause the tree to fall on our house. Jonathan said he could possibly fit me in the following day, at the end of the work day after his scheduled job, because the tree was a threat to the house. They arrived promptly at 4pm. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. My yard and driveway look better than it did before they came. Great job you guys. I will call them again for the next tree issue. Thank you!

On Sunday morning a large oak limb fell on our roof, penetrating a bedroom and bathroom. We found Athens Tree Service on Angie's List and called. They came out within a couple of ours, brought a bucket truck, large grinder, and all the saws and equipment necessary. The men were very professional and did an excellent job of removing the limb and debris, cleaning up, and covering the holes in the roof with a tarp. We were very happy with their service and plan to call them again for some tree work. Their price was quite reasonable, especially for a Sunday. Highly recommended!

I'm not a full time resident yet, so arrangements were all made long distance. When I told Jonathan that I would be there the week of the 4th of July, he scheduled the service so I could be there and advise as to some smaller trees that I might want to remove. Jonathan called on the 4th of July to confirm that they would be there the following morning. The crew was efficient, careful, and did a excellent job of removing the trees and all debris.

From the very beginning, Jonathan of Athens Tree Service impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. Knowing that I wanted to save the chestnut and oak if possible, he accessed their condition and made some suggestions, but in the end, I chose to get them both cut down because they were so diseased. He never pressured me, which I appreciated. This work was done in October, 2015, so it was a time of storms and a lot of damage around the Anderson area. He keep me informed and explained the changes in the schedule - which I was fine with since there were emergencies they needed to help with. When they came out to do the work, they were timely, neat, and very professional. I would definitely recommend Athens Tree Service and will call them again in the future.

I live in the historic section of Anderson, and we have enormous oak trees. After all the summer storms, we decided it was probably time to remove some trees. Because of the size of the job (and complexity), Athens (Certified Arborist by the way) was at my house the entire week. Each day Athens arrived on time and worked til sun down - even cleaned up work area at the end of each day. No smoking was done on my property - which I totally appreciated. Athens treated my property with the utmost respect, their professionalism shined through. Athens will be removing a large oak from my mother's yard after Christmas. We have lived in Anderson since 2002 and through the years have used others companies, but I will never use another tree company other than Athens Tree Service. I am so happy to have found them!!!

I interviewed three different companies (all found on Angie's List) before deciding upon Athens Tree. My experience, from start to finish, has been overwhelmingly positive. First of all, Jonathan's estimate was bang on--no changes between the quote and the final price. He was very responsive, whether by text or by phone. Jonathan estimated it would be six weeks out before they could fit in my job; the timing was six weeks to the day. During the job, either Jonathan or Scott would check in with me periodically, to see whether I'd like more removed from the tree in question. Before pulling the bucket truck into my driveway, Jonathan asked whether I would mind (given the weight)--and was very careful to let me know they would not drive it into my actual yard. The cleanup was thorough, including blowing fallen leaves off my roof. As a woman I worry about being oversold. I had no such concerns with Athens Tree. Jonathan followed through when he said he would; both the service provided and the price quoted were exactly in keeping with our agreement. Totally satisfied customer!

They were very responsive even though they were extremely busy from all the recent storms. They even came out on 4th of July to provide an estimate.
They were out to do the job, the following week.
Everyone was polite, the work was neat and quick.

I called Athens for a quote today because a few months back I called and asked for free wood chips if they had any that they were taking to the dump. A few weeks later I got a call and they delivered beautiful oak wood chips. I mean BEAUTIFUL chips.
Jonathan answered all my questions, and when I asked for proof of insurance on the morning that the work is going to be performed, he said no problem. I want two of the trees removed asap, which is a small job, so they are going to fit me into the schedule in two days, weather permitting. I am really impressed with this company and happy that I called them.

Took them awhile to get here as they are busy, and you understand why. They are great to deal with, take great care
to protect your property, have a price that is terrific, clean up after they are done, to the last leaf.
It is like a small army showing up, at least 4 trucks, plus a large machine to turn the tree to chips, one large
bucket truck the guy flies through the tree cutting limbs and carefully drops them to avoid property and his co-workers.
The large stump is dropped, and a log carrier comes in and picks them up to place in a dump truck.
And last, get your favorite chair out and enjoy the show!

They did an excellent job - a true example of team work. They were a very impressive bunch! They arrived on time and finished the work in the time frame they had estimated. The two oak trees were very close to the power lines. Any of the trees they cut down could have easily fallen on my home.
