First the good part: my kitchen looks terrific. Mike's employees, who did all the work, are meticulous. They did a fantastic job with the painting and were incredibly diligent about cleaning up at the end of the day. The problem was Mike. He is totally disorganized. Two days before he was scheduled to arrive, I called to ask if there was anything I needed to do before they started work. I was told that, not only was I expected to empty out all of the cabinets (not a big surprise), but also I should have all of the new appliances, backsplash tile, and flooring on site and ready to be installed. Obviously, this wasn't going to happen in 2 days. Nor was it necessary. Mike arrived on the day work was scheduled to begin, looked around, took a few measurements, and, after about 15 minutes, left for the day. The biggest problem caused by Mike's disorganized approach was that the workers didn't have the parts and equipment they needed when they needed them, because Mike kept forgetting to bring things in. For example, they were to replace the drawer glides on several of the kitchen drawers. Despite numerous reminders, Mike failed to bring the new glides until the last day on the job. Much touch up painting was needed to cover the inevitable scrapes that came from installing the glides after the painting was completed. A final and unexpected problem came from the fact that the guys had turned on an outside faucet, which we had already turned off and drained for winter, to clean their equipment and failed to turn it back off. When the temperatures fell to 15 degrees a few weeks later, the pipe burst, resulting in a $200 plumbing bill. So, if you use Mike for your next project, you'll probably be happy with the final result but be prepared to do most of the general contractor work yourself.

"I am glad that your kitchen is what you wanted and looks terrific. Mike Foreman Home Improvements consist of 5 employees including myself, two of which worked on this job. We contacted you two weeks prior to beginning this job. Two days before when you called to confirm and asked if you needed to have anything at your house, we informed you that we needed to have all of the items that you were supplying which consisted of appliances, flooring, sink, faucet, backsplash. We assumed that you knew that since you were supplying these they would need to be onsite. We were painting the cabinets inside and out and they would need to be cleaned out, I didn't think you would us to clean out your cabinets. On your sink that you were supplying and couldn't locate I went to every supplier in Columbia trying to find a solution to the problem. You needed a sink to fit in the existing space due to not replacing the granite tops. I was finally able to find a sink after spending four days trying to locate one. My employees are very qualified and responsible enough to do their job and I don't have to be on site the entire time. When the double oven, cooktop, & flooring were installed I was there and made sure these were done properly. I do deeply apologize for the busted water line. I wish you would have contacted me, I would have come back and fixed the problem. Once again I am glad the kitchen looks terrific. Mike & Deb Foreman"

We originally contacted Mike in March, 2013 and over the months we made several changes. They were very patient with us and accommodated our every request.
When we finally decided on a plan in October, 2013, Mike and his crew showed up the date and time they told us they would be there. We had purchased most of the materials ourselves and Mike was kind enough to pick up and store the large items, ex. new, oversized ADA shower stall.
Mike's two craftsmen, Mike and John, were exceptional workers. They were diligent, exceptionally neat and dependable. They checked with us every step of the way to be sure we were pleased with their progress,
Mike and his crew were kind enough to also replace a few loose and/or missing shingles on the front of our roof at no extra charge.
We would highly recommend this company. You can not do better!!

They replaced a bathtub and glass shower doors. The walls and floors were retiled. They started promptly and cleaned up after themselves each day. Mike checked the progress of the job and my satisfaction with the work every day.

When I first contacted Mike and Deb, I was called promptly. After expressing my needs, an appointment was scheduled and Mike kept that appointment. He was professional and I had a real sense of confidence in him. I explained what I wanted since I could see it in my mind. After a prompt estimate and some consideration on the part of my wife and myself, we accepted the estimate and scheduled the work. Rain caused a little delay but when Mike arrived with two of his crew, I was amazed to see that by day's end I had a deck that absolutely looked identical to what I had envisioned and passed on to Mike. Hiring Mike was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Deb handles communication via email very professionally. The compliments I have received from neighbors, family and friends have been amazing. I intended to get this review done earlier but I was determined to get it out to others. If you need work done that Mike says he can do, just stop looking. You have found the right person!

Angie's List might work too well because we had to wait a bit to get them out here but it was sooo worth the wait. Mike & Deb came out for the initial inspection and gave me quotes on an easy fix or how much it would cost if they had to replace the shower stall also. They were prompt and polite every time they came out here. We gave them the green light and they were back out here in about three weeks. Deb kept me up to date on when to expect them. Opening the ceiling, they figured that we were probably getting the easy fix and replaced the broken drain, let it dry and tested it before sealing the hole they created. They came out the next day to paint the ceiling and to make sure it matched, they ended up painting our entire ceiling. After about 4 or 5 hours total they repaired the leak, made my ceiling look like new and cleaned up after themselves! I definitely recommend them and will hire them again in a heartbeat! We had an emergency situation come up due to some water damage and needed hardwood floors laid quickly due to the delivery of a new bed. Mike and his crew came out on a Saturday, worked all day and completed the job to our satisfaction.

I could not have been happier with the experience from start to finish. Mike and Deb are very responsive and not only (once again) met my expectations but exceeded them. The deck is absolutley beautiful and better than I could have hoped. His employees are very professional , articulate and helpful when asked to make changes or for advise. The job was completed in 2 days, on time and on budget, even with a minor modifications. I was kind of disappointed with Mike Foreman Home Improvements Inc. They were very polite but the quality of the tile workmanship, the tiles are crooked and the grout is just falling out. It just wasn't what we were believed would be happening, it seems like it was just the bare minimum. It just wasn't the quality that we thought it should be from a professional company. I had better workmanship from a handy man. It took them months to get the job done. For what we got, the price was high, we paid for the material and they only charged us so much for the labor. The only time we saw the owner was when he would come to pick the checks. The shower socket is also wrong, you have to go towards the cold to get hot and go towards the hot to get the cold. They were very nice and it does look pretty but some of the grout is falling out and the tiles were crooked, my daughter-in-law walked in and she could see that something was crooked which is not a good thing.

in I was looking for someone with experience in decks and porches. I needed overall work done on the deck and the screened porch outside. I looked through Angie's list and called several contractors but none qualified for everything needed or worked in my area. So i asked Mr. Foreman's wife Deb who was very courteous and professional over the phone that I would need some more work in the home as well. Mr. Foreman in a licensed builder is what she said and the pride in her voice gave me a gut instinct that I'am going to hire them. My home is being rented at this time so I did not get a chance to personally see the work but the photos I've seen of before and after are amazing and the property rental agency who oversees my home also sent me many photos and the work is exceptional and very well done. The rental agency has his information for future reference and I will most definitely use them again in the future. Great work!

We contracted the vendor to remodel our bathroom. The job involved ripping out the current fixtures and putting in new toilet, sink and vanity and a new shower. The job also involved tiling the shower and floor, re-doing all the plumbing and finishing the trim. Mike was very accomodating to our project and did a very high quality of work in a very timely fashion. We could not have been happier.

This project could not have gone any better. They began when they said and completed the job when they said they would be finished. Could not have had any people that was more than willing to work at mine and their conveniece. I not hesitate to call on them again in the future. I have sent this review in 2 times before this. We called a dozen companies, many of which did not return our calls. We ended up with having three companies come out and give estimates. We picked Mike Foreman's company based on his returning our call promptly, his obvious knowledge and experience in home improvements and lastly on his reasonable estimate. He came promptly to look at the requested work and was also quick to give a written estimate. We could tell by his professional and courteous manner, that he knew what he was doing and had the knowledge and experience to get the work done as we wanted. To our surprise, the estimate was extremely reasonable. Mike Foreman continued to promptly return our calls to set up convenient work dates. Mike and his wonderful crew arrived promptly each day and knocked out the required work very quickly and professionally. They cleaned up before leaving each day. We are very very pleased with the work they did! Our living area and kitchen areas look so inviting and cozy because of the work they did! The crown molding which they placed throughout our home really frames each room beautifully. They actually went over and beyond what we wanted. Thanks to Mike Foreman and his crew, we really look forward each day to enjoying our home with family and friends. We highly recommend Mike Foreman and his crew. We have several other home improvement projects that will be needed to be done in the near future and we are definitely planning on hiring them again!

Contacted to get estimate and they immediately responded. Communication was always excellent - thank goodness for Debbie! The estimate was clear - we got a $500 discount for Angie's List member, the estimate was reasonable. They were ALWAYS there when they said they would be. Small crew and they did a FABULOUS job! We love our new bathroom. They were finished really quickly even with me sticking my nose in asking for different stuff (can I have pot lites?; can the baseboard be tile?, and on and on). They were always happy to do anything we asked. Jerry was totally awesome - I would have stuff sitting around in the bedroom (fixtures, switchplates, mirror, anything) and he would just put it up without being asked. You wiill not be disappointed with this company. Will definitely use them again for any remodeling project. Thank you!

We bought a foreclosed home that had a small, closed in kitchen, which was dark dreary and was really ugly. He knocked out walls, put in a pass through between the dining room and kitchen, rebuilt the cabinets to accommodate the new appliances from Lowes, and I couldn't ask for a prettier kitchen.

He designed a very pretty motif in the shower with the tiles I had chosen.. Mike also tore out an existing closet in the hall and incorporated a new one for the hall with shelving and space to store appliances like my vacuum. He then made a new space at the entrance to the bathroom where I can store towels, act. and make a pretty place to show collectables. Mike was the only contractor who was not in the least bothered by installing the shower and tile around an existing window. Others just said it could not be done. Mike simply saw the problem, solved it and never showed a worry. He sees a problem and solves it with a real gift and talent for the job and what the owner wants. Dep has become a good friend. She and Mike's Mom and I did some fun shopping at Home Depot and other places. While in Lowe's , looking at lighting fixtures, Deb found a really "avant-garde" group of lights which just give the whole picture a "lift"! She is such fun and we really did some wise choosing that day. I didn't think the limit on the ceramic tile gave me enough choice.....until after we started looking. Lowe's had the best choices and I am so pleased with the tile in every way. If you want the job done right. Call Mike and Deb! I even went on vacation for four days while they ripped out the old bathroom. Upon my arrival home, I couldn't beleive the amount of work they had done. As most women my age, I changed a few things as we closed the job. Mike did as I asked. contacted mike and deb through Angie's list. received email the next business day to set up time to come out and discuss scope of work. mike and deb were on time for the meeting. work was to be done at my parents home. received estimate by email within 2 days. we were pleased with the price given for the project. project was scheduled to start after mike and deb returned from vacation. work started on schedule and was completed on schedule. communication was always pleasant and timely. the crew made good use of their time and my dad was very pleased at their progress through the project. One of the guys even helped my elderly father install a new battery in his truck.
the crew did the work on the master bath before starting on the main bath remodel. after seeing the condition of the old master bath toilet tank interior parts. my father decided it would be better to replace the toilet instead of just the parts in the tank. my dad was very pleased with the new toilet that mike supplied. after the project was completed I found a couple of small things that needed to be taken care of. these items were taken care of in a timely manner.
all of the new fixtures used in the project were as specified in the contract. mike chose and supplied a nice vinyl flooring, vanity, light fixture and paint color. everything goes together well. my parents and I are very happy with the master bath repairs and the main bathroom remodel.

Mike Foreman Home Improvements was hired to perform a major overhaul of our master bath. I needed Mike to make the bath more accessible for me. Doorways needed to be widened the shower made more accessible and a tub replaced. All existing tile was removed and replaced. Overall I am very pleased with the work Mike and his crew performed for us. The construction phase of the work was excellent. All doors and hardware fit perfectly and the shower and tub look great. The tile work overall was very good however the grouting was sloppy in a few areas. Grout was left on parts of the tile were it should have been wiped off. Where I was somewhat disappointed was with Mike's trim and paint work. Several of the doors and the one window trim just did not look very professional. The trim pieces did not meet the floor or nail marks were left showing. The paint work had to be redone or a second coat needed on some of the areas. To Mike's credit he did repair issues in a timely manner when I pointed them out to him however after the project dragged on into 3 weeks, I was so ready to get the job completed I accepted less than perfect so I could finally take a decent shower. Mike was asked to return several times to repair a few plumbing issues and he did in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use Mike again for other jobs. If I had to give him a grade on his work for me it would be an A-.

I was very happy with them. I got a response whenever I emailed very quickly, the quality of the work was very good. It was done very timely, he did it in two days. His price was about $2 a foot on hard wood. He was very professional, everything included and he did the haul off and demolition and everything.

Mike and Deb came within 3 days of contacting them for an estimate. They provided a written estimate and said that they could get to the job in about 3 weeks, which they did. Mike replaced an inner water damaged sill under the back door leading to the deck. He also replaced the water seal under the entire house and tied up any sagging heating vents. He did more than was asked and did not charge any more than the original estimate. He left the area clean and in better condition than he found it. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to my friends.
