My wife and I had severely neglected our yard for several years. Since we travel frequently and have young children, the yard upkeep fell by the wayside.
Within just a few years, our yard was almost unrecognizable. The beautiful flower beds and gorgeous green grass had been devoured by weeds, trees, crumbling rock walls and accumulating yard debris. It was an eyesore at best. An embarrassment.
With no luck finding a company on Angies list that would service Woonsocket, I asked my neighbor the name of his landscaper. I had only seen them once and they did a remarkable job. Since my neighbor lives in a mansion, I assumed the cost may be a bit more than I was willing to spend.
I met with Harvi of HarviScapes. One of the nicest people you will ever meet. AND one of the hardest workers I've ever seen. I saw him wipe sweat from his brow so I know he's human.
I asked for a quote on the extensive work that needed to be done in my yard. I was half expecting him to ask for my wife and a goat. But there was no way I was parting with Billy. After some discussion we settled on a price. I thought it was a fair price at first. Once he finished though, I wanted to offer him the goat. (j/k, no goat)
They did show up a day late, but I don't blame them. It was a beautiful Sunday. Harvi showed up @ 7:45a on a Monday with another man and got right to work. Within 30 minutes they had already finished what would have taken me an entire day. They worked nonstop until about 4:00p. I could not believe the amount of work they got done. He had told me that they wouldn't be able to finish in just one day and so a few piles and tools were left behind, but it was AMAZING.
When they left, my wife and I took a look around. Both of us were in awe of the improvement. At around 6:00p Harvi came back with another man who spent the next two hours cleaning and finishing up. When they left, the yard was better than it had ever looked. Harvi did more than we agreed to. He did it in less time and for a very reasonable price.
I plan to upload before and after pictures soon. Just waiting for a sunny day.
