JONES MOVING & STORAGE****

From the first phone call to Jones, I knew they were a good outfit. The gentlemen who gave the estimate was honest and frank about the time needed. The movers came a little early and worked hard. They emptied out my one-bedroom apartment in an hour and 10 minutes. The move into the new place was even faster. The movers themselves were dressed in official Jones t-shirts and were pleasant to talk to. My only complaint is with myself for not packing everything (I didn't know they would take bags, crates and even laundry baskets) and for not labeling boxes accurately. Word to the wise, make it easy on yourself and label!

From the initial phone call, everyone I dealt with was very courteous and friendly. The estimate was almost half of another quote I received, and the pricing structure was very straightforward and simple: number of men per hour times number of hours. On the scheduled day, the movers arrived on time and really hustled, loading and unloading the truck very quickly. They were very friendly and professional throughout. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely use them again.

The three men who moved my apartment were friendly, professional, and really cared that my stuff was handled properly. The morning they were scheduled to arrive they called to confirm everything... I still had to figure out what to do with the clothes in my closet... the man who called me offered to bring "wardrobe boxes". Not only did the boxes totally save the day, but one of the men actually transferred my entire closet into the boxes before I had even finished packing up my refrigerated stuff into my cooler. They were just great.

They were amazing - on time, really pleasant to work with. They worked hard all day, didn't stop for breaks except for a quick lunch (which I think they ate on the road, they got to the new house so fast), and it was a really hot day. They were so considerate and careful, they moved a pretty packed 3 bedroom house and not a thing was damaged. Nothing! Amazing.

Greg and his team of three arrived on time and we could not fault them! They were prompt, courteous, and tidy. We've used a lot of movers over the years, and this was the best. Will use again.

The guys were wonderful! Very helpful and attentive to her belongings. Asked questions about where to put things instead of just dropping them any old place. They even moved a couple of items when she changed her mind about the location of them. They were polite, and couldn't have been more caring about my mom's stuff. The whole experience was much better than I could have hoped for!

They had very good rating on Angie's List and they were terrific. Originally we had gotten rid of a lot of the things in the house so what we were pretty much moving was furniture from my brother's new place and my parents' dining room set. A few other pieces were coming to me in Massachusetts. It was a bit more complicated move than usual. My brother had to move to one location, my stuff went to storage until the truck was coming up to Massachusetts. The moved cost $700 for my brother and $400 for me which included storage. We wanted to get the move done for my brother in one day as he was working nights and we did. It was a 2 story house and the guys got everything loaded, stuff in the basement like the washer dryer had to go as well. They had everything packed up in the morning and we told them "okay, lets have lunch and then meet you there" and they said "no, we are going right to the house" and they did and they got everything done by mid afternoon. It was terrific and they did a great job. They were little late, apparently they had to unload the truck from the night before, before they could come out so they were about an hour late. This was my first experience and this is why I signed up for Angie's List because I did not know where to go in Rhode Island to find information on movers and I had read about Angie's List and I said "okay, this is the perfect opportunity to see if this is useful or not" and it did turn out to be extremely useful.

Excellent experience. They were able to move us on a busy holiday weekend with roughly a week's notice. The crew was polite, cheerful and efficient in spite of having to move in miserable weather and some tricky staircases/access doorways in our new place.

It was a fantastic experience. These three guys were on time and worked good together as a team. They did not mess around. Very professional, very polite. Good hard workers. They went far beyond what they had to do. I would hire them again in a minute. Their boss should thank god he has guys like this. Also he should pay them a lot of money. I would tell anyone to hire these three guys. I was super pleased. I got them from Angie's List. I see someone gave them a bad review, it most of been three other guys he had,

The workers arrived on time and got right to work. I helped out for a few hours myself. When all was done, they had been there for 7.5 hours... way too long for the amount of "stuff" being moved. Yes, it was a hot day in July, but the workers were very slow and selective about which items they wanted to move. After the move, I contacted Jones' manager to explain the situation and request a partial refund. I was promised a check during 4 separate conversations over the course of 8 weeks, but never received the check. It was only when I wrote a letter to the owner that I finally received a check in the mail... a full 10 weeks later. In the end, I am happy that they were willing to refund part of my costs, but in my experience, they did not live up to the reputation they have on Angie's List. Keep in mind that the workers are individuals and the success of your move depends heavily on exactly who they send out. I have a close friend who was very satisfied with the service he received from Jones, so my suggestion... don't rely solely on one person's experience, good or bad.

They brought 3 guys and a truck. Called when they were on the road to let me know they were coming. Got there right at 9am as promised. Original quote was for 6 hours just for the apartment to home move. They completed the job in 6 hours, which included unloading 2 relocubes into the house. No issues whatsoever, would highly recommend. Especially at their price.

Damonte, Greg, and Jim were fantastic. They called about 20 minutes before arriving to confirm the details of the move and to find out if we needed any last-minute supplies. They were efficient and very careful with all of our belongings. The move was completed in a little over 5 hours--less than the 6-7 hours estimated over the phone. They were professional and personable. An all-around positive experience!

The move went great. The three movers, Greg, Greg and Manny arrived right on time. They were very professional and efficient in moving all the equipment, boxes and other items. I had some delicate equipment and they were very careful in their handling of it. They made sure that everything went where we wanted it and that it was properly set up.

Overall we had peace of mind in using a professional moving company - Jones Moving and Storage.

I could not have asked for a better moving experience and I am very experienced with movers, self moves, etc since I have moved over 50 times in my life due to work needs. They took exceptional care with not scraping floors, walls, etc in our brand new home, even better than we did ourselves.

It was almost miraculous. A 3-man team was directed by one. At every point, they anticipated what was needed next and placed mats or the dolly in just the right position. They made sure their grip was secure before every new phase of the move. Even where clearance was only an inch, the furniture never touched the wall. I was very impressed with the careful and cautious approach they took.

Fantastic. They were great; extraordinarily good. Ernest Mani Jr. and Mani Sr. were our movers and they did a splendid job under difficult circumstances. We have the highest praise for them. They sent a fourth guy, Keith, and he made things go faster. We would recommend them to anyone moving in Providence area.

The 3 movers Jones sent were courteous and professional from start to finish. They were very careful with our belongings (no breakage at all) and of our new home (they avoided touching/dinging the walls, were gentle on the floors, etc.). Our only complaints were with efficiency: the movers were about 45 minutes late in arriving and loaded the truck at what seemed a leisurely pace (though they unloaded quickly). When we were paying by the hour, every minute counted! Overall, though, it was a good experience, and we had confidence in the movers' competence and trustworthiness. Much better than moving ourselves!!!

Squeezed me into their schedule. Extremely accomodating. Great crew. Polite. Did not stop until they were done. Couldn't have been more pleased with their work. Used others in the past. They were by far the best.Would reccomend them again.

I REALLY LIKED WORKING WITH THEM. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND DID NOT WASTE TIME GETTING THE JOB COMPLETED. NOTHING WAS BROKEN DURING THE MOVING PROCESS AND, AS FAR AS I COULD TELL, THEY DID A PERFECT JOB.
