The service is excellent. Wayne provides not only the most reasonable cost but also the best solution to my heating needs. Before I made the final decision I did a lot of research on gas hot water boilers and water heaters and local contractors because the new heating system is one of the major investments for the home I just bought a couple of months ago. I like that Wayne is behind the boiler he installed. The new heating system, a Burnham ALP hot water boiler and an indirect hot water tank, is a perfect balance between efficiency and cost and reliability. Now the heating system is working great, very quiet and efficient. I found that he is the most trustworthy contractor I have met. In addition, he has all the licenses needed for heating and air conditioning systems, which means he is really a smart guy. Overall, I am very satisfied with the new heating system and the interaction with Wayne.

One of our a/c units was not working. They determined it was a leak in the line. They were able to repair it to get us through the season.

I’ve needed repairs done three times over the last year to my furnace/oil tank. Wayne and his staff have helped me each time. The first occasion, I had a significant leak from my furnace after hours, and he was able to get a technician to my house within 20 minutes of the call. The quality of the work is great; Wayne and his staff are incredibly helpful and professional. I will definitely be hiring Wayne again in the future if I need any additional work done on my heating system.

We woke up to a 60 degree house. Our oil boiler stopped working during the night. Called on a Sunday morning and got an answer right away. Wayne came quickly and was very thorough in diagnosing the issue. He was informative and made sure we were up and running before he left. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

My tankless boiler was continuing to produce an ignition error which prevented any regular heat or hot water. The eventual fix took longer and was more complicated that any of us originally thought, but Affordable HVAC was very accommodating, even to the point of working closely with the tech support of the company who distributes my boiler. Affordable HVAC was fully committed to getting my boiler issues fixed, and I would recommend them to anybody looking for solid work in this area.

I was excited to see all the good reviews, but apparently Wayne is too busy to return my calls. I am not sure I want to use a company who does not return calls, especially when I have an emergency. I own a small business and would at least call future customers back, even if to say we can't take on new customers. No way to run a service business.

I called the number given on AL and made an appointment, after being told the charge for a visit was $99. He made a call and adjusted the thermostat, saying that it might need replacing. And that if he he returned, he wouldn't charge me for the labor, only the part. I paid him $99 for the visit, asking for a receipt. He asked for my email and said he would send it. it never came. The thermostat continued not to work properly. I called and someone else came with a new thermostat. This courteous individual replaced it and wanted to be paid. I said in the interim I had gone to Affordable Heating's website, where I saw that the price for a visit was listed as $75, with a 5% discount for seniors. (I am very obviously a senior.) The first workman never mentioned either of these options The second said the charge was $99, but he would knock it down to $95 or otherwise not leave. He got paid. I called Affordable Heating several times and left messages. No return call and no receipt for the first visit. ** UPDATE 10/22/2018 ** This replies to the service's reply to my previous review of his company, which Angie's List doesn't allow me to add to. The person in charge says I would have been given the discount offered online if I had mentioned it to him or his assistant. I did mention it to his assistant, who claimed ignorance of it and would not give the discount Further: since installation, I have gone online to the manufacturer of the thermostat and discovered that the online price is $44, with free shipping. I was charged $99 for the unit. Normally a repair person gives a wholesale price for parts, but here it was doubled. I had actually requested a less complicated thermostat, which I have discovered costs even less than $44, and the repair person said the more complicated and more expensive one was all he had. A good heating service should offer several alternatives. As for his response to my review, the comments about seniors and zoos is offensive. Any prospective customer should be warned.

Wayne quickly identified problem and set to work cleaning and adding r22 charge. We discussed overall condition and Wayne checked drainage and air output. We were pleased with the thoroughness of his work.

Wayne found components shorted by mouse and exterior units in need of cleaning. Got me back online in a couple of hours. Well done.

Perfect! I had been using these guys since 2005 and they have done work on 3 of my Homes. They are amazing to work with. They are prompt, courteous, Honest, reliable and get the job done fast and Affordably. I had accidentally called All Seasons Heating out of Johnston to come fix my central air when I did not have Affordable Heatings number handy and forgot the name. My parents were both in the hospital when this came up, and I had to quickly looked them up on the Internet from my phone. That first company had not fixed my system after 3 attempts and countless calls. I was confused because I thought I had called Wayne’s Company. When I finally realized I had called the wrong place when I spoke to Wayne, I told him “Thank God I made a mistake. I thought you sold your company!” Wayne came out immediately to fix the system. They are the best. Don’t waste time with anyone else.

Wayne did a great job very responsive knew his stuff even got up in the attic to change some filters that the previous guy wouldn’t change because he said it was too tight for him mind you Wayne is about 6’5”/250. Would highly recommend this company.

This is a follow up to my original review. A day or two after I posted my original review Wayne from Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning called me and explained that he assumed the work had been done. He then reimbursed the fee for the service that wasn't performed and came by my house to do a furnace cleaning and inspection free of charge.

Wayne and his crew did a great job! Boiler was failing and within 2 days Wayne and his crew had installed a new one. Pricing, timeliness, and workmanship were excellent. Already planning on using them to tune up AC unit.

Wayne could not have been more gracious or accommodating. He was always punctual and even offered an earlier time when he could. His work was thorough, and he explained and showed me everything before he left. I am moving and I’ll be definitely using this company at my new location. I’ve already told many people about my positive experience. Customer service and satisfaction at its best. I couldn’t be happier with this company!

Wayne came to our house within an hour. He said that the furnace just needed a cleaning and that he could do it right away. (We had not had it serviced for the 17 years that we lived in this home.) We were so impressed with his promptness, service, and honest assessment that we asked him if we could get a service contract so that the next time anything came up, we would have someone we trust who we could call. He did not make a sales pitch, we asked him about getting a contract. The cost of the cleaning was included in the contract and we are certain that we will renew the contract next year with this honest, dependable, and pleasant businessman. While he was here, he also made a repair to the chimney for our gas water heater at no charge.
