For all three times, a superb job. I will be hiring the company again early this fall, to trim and shape the Ash tree and a Dogwood tree, both which have grown a great deal. They will also remove some overgrown shrubs and plant new ones, and do landscaping along a fence to a neighbor's yard and in front of our house. Discussing the forthcoming job was the "last contact."

David Schwartz, the owner of the company came and did the initial walk through and estimate. It is clear that he is very knowledgeable about trees and he had some helpful recommendations. There was one point in our conversation when I felt that David came across a little awkward and discouraging about my ability to trim some small tree branches on my own. But the bottom line, is that his company did a fabulous job, and we were very happy with the end result. I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the crew, which was led by Dave (a different David than the owner.) They crew arrived around 8:30 and worked until about 4:00, doing everything that was on the list of jobs. They did an excellent job, and cleaned up so well, you could not tell they had been there all day long (except for the missing trees, pruned bushes, and the ground stumps.) I'd recommend this company to anyone who has tree work and major pruning to be done.

He was quick to respond to our call. He called us few times and even came to see the location twice before giving us a quote. He was very pleasant to talk to and helpful. We went with somebody else for the price, but we understand that the reason for his price could be because of the nature/size of the job we had. We are thinking about trying him again for the future landscaping project because he was easy to communicate with and we learned that it is a rare quality.

Excellent, David responded to my first call and made an appt. for a free assessment/estimate with a plan to help us with squirrels causing such a big problem on our new roof and flashing around the chimney. He identified the problem branches. He set up a morning appt. several days later and arrived right on time with his professional crew. Work done exactly as planned and crew also cleaned the yard of all debris. Worker brought me around the yard to explain his work and off they went.

I am very pleased with the work David Schwartz completed at my house. I could tell during the quote and inspection of my property that David is an expert in his field. He only recommended what needed to be done - no more, no less. He also is an artist in the sense that he understands the aesthetics of each individual property and the neighborhood as a whole. In other words, consult him for any tree work but also for what trees or bushes you may want to plant. I should also mention that his crew are professional, clean up well after and during the job, and are in general very pleasant. I've already recommended Schwartz Tree and Landscape to my step father and brother. It's a great feeling to find a contractor with integrity and expertise!!!

I was given an approximate date, then a call about half a week in advance to ask if I was available for a specific date, first thing in the morning. They arrived promptly and cleaned up extremely efficiently. No complaints!

Very very nice younger gentlemen. Very knowledgeable. I didn't do what he told me to do but I respect his opinion. He was very punctual. He was here when he said he would be here. Its very hard to find an Arborist and he was very very good.

David and his crew of three arrived right on time. Though I discussed what was generally going to be done to the trees, I was able to go into more pruning detail of each tree with the foreman prior to beginning work. The crew worked efficiently and thoroughly cleaned up the site before leaving eight hours after they had arrived. They were all knowledgeable, personable, and polite. In fact there’s absolutely nothing I can complain about the entire experience.

    Dave was great; he was here within one day of our emails and gave me a reasonable quote.  A couple of weeks later (due to snow storms) I arrived home and noticed the plum tree was gone. They cleaned up all of the debris and the yard looks great. Thanks to  Dave and company...

They came on a very cold day in January, examined the work to be done.  Unfortunately, a tree we loved in the back was found to be too heavily affected by root rot to save, so it had to be removed.  All the work was done with great care and professionalism, that same day even though the tree removal was not planned.  They know their business.  We will definitely use them again.

David Schwartz came to give an estimate, originally just for removing the limbs from neighbor's large trees that were overhanging my property. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced, and quickly diagnosed various other problems in my garden, such as a viburnum beetle infestation, cedar apple rust, and other smaller trees in sore need of pruning. He offered some advice and quoted a fair price for each component of the work; I decided there and then to hire his company.
His office called me well in advance to set dates for the zylam ground injection (to control beetle infestation) and the tree work. On the day the tree service was scheduled, the crew arrived at 8 in the morning and worked diligently for 4 hours, pruning 5 of the trees in my yard as well as removing the overhanging branches of 5 of my neighbor's trees. They did a superb, beautiful job, managing to make all the trees looked balanced and shapely even after big branches had been taken off. They also carefully cleaned up all the debris. The bill was exactly the same as the estimate, which, while not cheap, was quite reasonable considering the amount and quality of work done. I would definitely use Schwartz's company again, and highly recommend them to anyone seeking true professionals in tree care.

I first met Dave 10 years ago when I was completing a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. He gave a lecture to our class on tree care and pruning. When it came time for me to hire an arborist for my own property, I hired him a year later to take down 2 trees that were encroaching on power lines and buckling the driveway. This time around he was the only arborist I called because I know his knowledge is extensive and he would take great care with my trees and give me a fair price. He arranged permission with the city for me to remove the badly damaged street tree (Bradford Pear) and had his team prune several rare trees (Franklinia, Acer Griseum, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, [Weeping Dawn Redwood] and a Clerodendrum trichotomum) in my backyard. His love of trees is evident in his enthusiasm. I will never call anyone else to take care of my property.
