Shopped the TOP 5 heating and AC vendors in my area from Angies List. All were about the same price, and all seemed professional and I'm sure would have done a good job. The reason I choose Knoechel Heating was because of the followup and maintenance after the purchase and installation. The owner seemed honest and didn't blow any smoke... he showed me what they had to offer and how much it cost. There were no additional costs and the installation only took about 5 hours - including their lunch break. The installers had been with the company a very long time and knew what they were doing - they also spoke highly of the company they worked for - I liked that. I also love the wifi thermostat that was installed - I can operate my furnace from my phone anywhere.... EXTREMELY HAPPY!!

It went as planned. They showed up on time and completed the job quickly. No surprises. In the past they have taken care of little things (such as plugging the hole to the wiring compartment so mice can't get in and chew the wires), at no cost.

It was an emergency call because the furnace was not keeping the house warm. He came out as soon as possible, located the problem, found and fixed it plus some other minor issues. He was very professional.

I had called Knoechel's previously. During their free "second opinion" the company owner explained why he did not feel I needed to replace my furnace yet as I was being strongly encouraged to do by another company when the time comes, I will use Knoechels.

The Service technicians were very knowledgeable about furnaces and auxiliary equipment. They arrived within 1 hour after I called and had our heating system running in less than an hour. To Note: The outside temperature was 6 degrees F, inside temperature was 48 degrees F and quickly falling. The service technician did a fast and professional job. Our Furnace is old and they could have taken advantage of this, but instead, gave instructions on things to be aware of and the maintenance that we were not doing, causing the slow progression of the break down of the boiler and water pump. The price was very reasonable and they applied the 20% discount that was available on Angie's List.. So, as I hear so often on TV, Thank You Angie, and a special Thank You to Knoechel Heating Co.for their quick response and great job..

Bruce Knoechel explained everything in plain English, offered several equipment options and wrote his proposal on my dining room table (rather than an email). His price was very competitive, and I felt very comfortable buying from him. His crew was great, finished in a day, thoroughly explained the operation of my new equipment and cleaned up after themselves. Since the installation, we have had record-setting cold temperatures (-9 degrees) and our entire house is very comfortable with the thermostat set at 70. I highly recommend Knoechel Heating.

The pricing was great, and they had inventory and technicians to perform the work the next day. The team of three arrived on-time (7:30 AM), they removed the existing systems with minimal downtime for the heater (it was cold outside), and they did a great job running the ducting and interfacing into the existing ductwork. They went about their work in a very professional and workman like manner. The work was completed around 2PM, and the ductwork, piping and electrical were neat and the work area was spotless. Each team member took pride in what they performed, and each took turns taking me through their portion of the work to explain what work was performed, why and how to maintain it. I couldn't have asked for a better crew or company to work with on the project.

The experience is wonderful. Starting from the estimate, the owner Bruce was so patient and honest. He was not like other sales man, trying to say bad things about other brands. Marty is the technician who replaced the system. he and his crew worked really hard. There was a small surprise coming up during the install due to the blocking chimney, Bruce was really on top of it and trying to solve it in a timely manner. They cleaned up so well after the work had been performed. I referred them to my neighbor already because they are very well deserve it! You can't be wrong using them.

The owner and manager visited my home and gave me an estimate himself. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave me a very fair price.

Everything up and through the installation went very well. Bruce was very professional through the quote process. Installation went well and the crew was very professional.

The repair tech arrived on 8/21 at the scheduled time and determined that the ac unit was low on refrigerant. When he tried to charge the unit, the system would not pressurize. We thought that the "A" coil may have been froze up due to the low pressure which would not enable the repair to be completed. The job was put on hold to let the unit defrost with the repair to be continued on the twenty-second. The tech showed up at the time he said he would be here and began the recharge. He still felt that there was a problem that was not letting the system charge as it should. However, he being new to the HVAC he wanted to have a more experienced tech provide him with guidance. I in no way thought this to be a negative but to be a positive move. We all need help at times and this was handled in a professional way. The second tech arrived in the stated time which was not long and the two of them conferred and proceeded to trouble shoot the problem. It was determined that the system was so low in refrigerant that the total amount was added of 3 pounds of r22. My opinion is that the problem and repair were made and completed in a timely and very professional way. In fact I will contact this company to provide a bid for a removal of my existing oil furnace and air conditioner to a heat pump system with a secondary back up heating system in the spring of 2014.

The service tech was very polite and explained what he was going to do before he even started. This is the first time I used this company after 16 years with a previous company, that has changed ownership. I felt that I was paying for items that were not necessary and costs that were above and beyond what I had been paying for service. Knoechel Heating proved me right! Their service tech examined the same system that needed work every year and found only one minor part needed replaced. With my 20% off first time customer discount the service call was what I would normally expect to pay before the discount. This business has been around since 1947 and it shows why it has been able to compete in this market. They have earned my account and when my system, that is 16 years old needs replaced ,they will get my business.

Excellent! Did the work when they said they would, in spite of bad weather. Charges matched competitive quote. Followed-up to assure satisfaction.

During the unseasonably warm weather, it became obvious that the air flowing from our central air unit was not cooling. We left a message on Knoechel's answering over Memorial Day weekend, knowing we might be one of twenty other messages. Much to our surprise, we received a phone call early Tuesday morning and a same-day appointment. The service tech arrived on time and was very polite. He assessed the problem quickly and accurately, and then fixed the problem. The tech wore booties every time he came into the house, even though he only came inside a few feet from the door, and we have easy to clean Pergo. Most of his time was spent outside on the a/c unit. We have used Knoechel in the past, and will use them again.

The last time I had called them, their tech stated that the pipe from the condenser unit to which the runoff water tube was connected to, was cracking and that the whole unit would need to be replaced (~$3000). I sent him packing. Then I sawed off the plastic pipe from the condenser unit 1/2 inch, and sealed the runoff tube with some cement glue. Cost. less than $3. This was 6 years ago. The AC unit is still performing flawlessly. Needless to say, they havent been back.

Technician was fast, efficient, and informative. He checked the furnace operation, cleaned it, and replaced the filter. The boiler for the radiant floor heat was malfunctioning and he replicated the issue and pinpointed the problem areas. Ultimately it needed replacement and a second service company sent by the home warranty company agreed that it needed to be replaced.

We paid for a new blower motor after suffering the cold for four days.

They did an excellent job. We had lots of questions before we committed and Bruce Knoechel answered them all. If he didn't know the answer, he told us that he didn't know and then researched until he found the information we requested. Once we decided to hire Knoechel Heating, they gave us a date and estimated time for completion. They arrived on time, were very nice, very customer-oriented in their approach to doing the work, and did an excellent job. Our new system is great. Their prices are also quite competitive. I highly recommend them for anyone needing any type of heating and/or ac work.

They were scheduling weeks in advance this was no problem for me, I picked the 8a-12p block of time. The technician arrived at about 10am and was there for about 35-45 minutes. He serviced the furnace, changed what needed to be changed, and also changed the air filter for the furnace. He didnt try to sell any other services, and was in and out in a decent time. The overall price was around $135 with an Angies List coupon. I would try them again for any other issues that arise with my furnace.

Cancelled appointment hour before time they were supposed to be here for the day. There are hopefully better companies on Angie's List.

We had previously called this company for an estimate because of their high rating on Angie's List. Our furnace was over 20 years old and was not always starting up on it's own, and the air conditioner was all rusty and old. They were to come next Thursday to give us an estimate, but we could not get our furnace to start up on Monday. So on Monday we called them back and asked for a service call as soon as possible to see if they could get the poor old furnace to work long enough for us to find a replacement for it. I called in the morning, and within a short time they called me back and told me someone would be right here in around a half an hour. The serviceman came within a half hour and found that our circuit board had burnt up. He called in to ask advice from the owner, Bruce Knoechel. The serviceman then told me that he did not have anything in the truck that would get my furnace running right away, but that Mr. Knoechel could come right away to give me estimates on a new furnace. Lucky for me, Mr. Knoechel was able to come soon after that and checked out what type of equipment was needed for effective heating and air conditioning of our home. Lucky for me, I had previously looked on line at different prices and recommendations, and was able to see that his recommendations and prices were good. He scheduled the installation of a new furnace and air conditioner for the next morning. The installers were on time and efficient. They did a great job making the physical changes needed to install the new type of air conditioner. (Our old one was also over 20 years old and used a kind of coolant that will be discontinued in a few years.) They got the whole thing accomplished before dinnertime, and left everything looking great with no messes to clean up. Everyone I had contact with at this company was friendly, polite, helpful and skilled at their jobs. I doubt that they will always be able to help everyone quite as quickly as they did me, because I'm sure there will be times they are too busy to give everyone instant service like I was lucky enough to receive, but iI have no reservations about recommending this company to anyone with heating or air conditioning problems. They are truly service oriented, and I intend to have them come on a regular basis to make sure our investment is routinely serviced correctly and well protected. Thanks Angie. Everything a previous company did wrong, they did right. Punctual and went the extra mile to have major parts covered by warranty. Highly recommend them.

The owner, Bruce, came to the house to give an estimate. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time explaining the different systems that could be installed, and gave a quote for three systems while he was there. After having other contractors come for bids, we decided to go with Knoechel. When I called to set up the installation, the office personnel were courteous and knew exactly who I was and had all of our information on hand. The appointment did not take long to set up even though it was during the heat of the summer. The installers were prompt, and completed the work in the stated time. Everything is working great, and we couldn't be happier. We will use Knoechel for all our future heating and cooling needs.

My experience with Knoechtel Heating Co. was better than expected. Service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I will definitely have them come back to service my Lennox systems.
