Window World of Central PA

From meeting the salesman, to talking to them on the phone to the install guys, everyone was pleasant to deal with. So far we are happy with the purchase. If there is something they can work on, it is staying in contact with their customers. We had to call twice - once to schedule our measurements and once to schedule our installation. Both times they had told us they would call us. I wonder how long it would have gone if we hadn't called. Besides that, we are happy with them and would recommend them.

They delivered what was contracted and promised. The men were very nice and very courteous. They were even nice to my dogs.

After attempting unsuccessfully to have the original builder repair or replace the leaking windows in our four-year home we decided to move forward with window replacement on our own. We reviewed the local companies within Angie's list and called Window World for an estimate. The sales representative was on-time, professional, and knowledgeable about the product. We decided to move forward with a minimal renovation at first (replacing three windows) so that we could further evaluate the company and the product prior to replacing all thirty windows and five doors. After approximately three weeks the 6000 series windows had been manufactured and were ready to install. On the day of the installation the two-person crew arrived on-time and went right to work. They acted in a professional manner, were willing to answer all questions asked, and were careful not to cause any unnecessary damage to the house. When they were finished (approximately 7 hours latter) they cleaned up the work site both in and outside of the house. During this time we noticed that some of the insulating spray-foam had expanded into the house around two of the windows. The crew members immediately corrected the problem without hesitation. Based on this appointment we will use Window World moving for the replacement of all remaining windows and doors.

The installers were very efficient. Removed and replaced doors and windows quality. Clean up entire work area. Returned @!$#^$ day to complete trim. Installer were very professional and knowledgeable about installation and product.

Based on the good price that I received from Window World and the style of the picture window, I agreed to the replacement of my windows. On the designated date, the workers arrived promptly. The workers were hard working, professional, and courteous. When my large picture window was taken out and the new window was popped in, the silence in the room was unbelievable. That, in itself, showed me that the insulting factor of the windows were superb. The windows were installed in one day. At the end of the day, the worker brought it to my attention that one of the screens had a rip in it. I completed a form that the rip existed. The next morning, the workers returned with a new screen, and in the afternoon, I received a phone call to ensure that the screen had been installed. I love my new windows!

Window World installed 8 new windows in my home. I got the low-e argon gas and the total for all 8 windows was $3800. From the start of this transaction to the finish I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of this company. Because I was doing this as part of a VA loan refinance, there were special circumstances (hoops I had to jump through) and the staff at Window World were all patient and accomodating though this process. The windows are now installed and I couldn't be happier. I am aleady seeing a differnce in my heating bill!

They were punctual, professional and very efficient. The price was fair and I would recommend them and use them again.

I had called WW and the sales representative was out within the week to survey the work. I had placed the deposit and within 5 weeks or so, the doors were ready to be installed. The doors were installed within a matter of days (due to my schedule, more than anything). Update: After inspecting the installation of my doors, I noticed that the door jamb was cracked where the top hinge is located, the vinyl flashing on the door jamb was only attached with a couple of nails, and the storm door closer was faulty (the door would stay open). I called Window World and they sent a technician out to take a look at it. He took the closer since he agreed that the part was faulty and he fixed the cracked jamb and added more nails to the flashing around the jamb. He had agreed that the installation was not up to par. He stated that the closer would take approximately 4-6 weeks to come in. I have not heard anything for about 6 weeks, so I decided to call Window World at the end of May/beginning of June. I spoke with the receptionist and it was determined that the part was never ordered! She said it would take another 4 weeks for the part to come in and they would call when it arrived... I have received no phone call and it is June 30th.. I will be calling Window World, yet again, to find out what the deal is with my closer. It's really getting annoying since the door doesn't stay closed properly without the closer. Quite a disappointing experience, from an Angie's List award winning company..

I give this company a BIG FAT F. They came to our home January 14, 2013 to put a window our bathroom. They cut out the drywall and realized the estimator had calculated incorrectly. Turns out our closet runs the length of our bathroom. So, a window would be impossible. My husband took the day off work for the install. When I arrived home that day, I saw what had happened and was very angry! So, I called and asked to speak with Richard(the owner). I told him what had happened (I'm pretty sure his independent contractors had not made him aware.) He was at my house within the hour. He explained to me how his estimator had measured incorrectly. He said he should have known by the depth of my kitchen that something was behind the bathroom. He explained to me that when a install is booked he usually goes by the property to check and make sure all is correct. Richard had said for some reason our paperwork never made it to his desk. So, It could have been checked. He shook my hand and told me that he would have the wall fixed in a timely manner and return our deposit. I did receive my deposit on a timely basis. However, our wall is still not complete! It can not be painted. Today's date is February 21, 2013. This man shook my hand (call me old school but, I grew up in a time when that ment A LOT!!) The independent contractor that works for this company made a mess the 2 or 3 times he came to our house. Large messes of sanded drywall all over the floor, down the hall to the front door, all over the front door. The guy never bothered to mention the mess. Just beware of this company! I have told family, friends and some people I don't know. Just how terrible my experience was!! My husband has finished our wall.Thanks Window World for the Terrific job you did!! You will always have a big fat F in my book and anyone else I may reach out to. I should send you a bill Richard.

I phoned Window World just to get information and a free estimate in November,2012. They scheduled and appointment with my sales rep. Anton Spinelli (now affectionately referred to as a family member). Anton came to my home on 11/16/2012, was punctual, courteous and amazingly knowledgeable about the product. Please remember, I only wanted information and an estimate which would have been no problem. By the time Anton was done, I WAS SOLD! I signed the contract and truly felt as though i had just made a new friend seriously, I wanted to invite him and his family for Thanksgiving. Anyway he explained honestly that they were a good 6 weeks out as it related to installation. That was fine with me. He also explained the next person out would be the (and I feel so awful for not remembering his name) person measuring my windows. He too showed up on time and was very professional. Did what he needed to do and said, "the installers would come next". Starting to sound a little like that Christmas Story? Well, next came my installers. A husband and wife team. His name was Mike and his wifes name was Trisha. They were absolutely wonderful! It was windy and cold when they were here and I felt so bad for the length of time they had to spend out in the cold. They never complained, engaged in conversation when WE wanted to but, for the most part they were just plain work-a-holics! They just kept doing whatever they needed to, to make things right. And I do mean they did it right! No short cuts and fixed prior bad work! When I filled out my review that Window World sent to me, one question asked if I had some additional comment about my experience (or something like that), to which I wrote, "Window Wold renewed my faith and belief in (at least their Co.) in the working world and their employees and/ or contractors. They made me believe that there still are people out there that have standards in their quality of work and their product as well as the way the customer is treated. And, that above all else, the customer really does matter, not just the almighty dollar and bottom line. I can say this because, they honored a 5% discount that was not taken off at the initial contract signing. I did not bring this up to them until after my guy was here and did the measurements for my new windows. This was a saving of several hundred dollars to me. They didn't have to do that but, they did. They asked if I had any negative comments (or something like that) and I said yes! With a Co. like Window World, they would put people out of work DUE to the fact that there would be no need for a complaint department or product returns. I love, love love my new windows and am truly fond of all the people involved with this transaction and installation. We were given an estimate and demonstration by Window World and we were sold! The demo representative was wonderful, courteous and answered all our questions and concerns. He took the time to explain the windows we wanted and all other information regarding a purchase and installation. We ordered the windows that day! The order came in sooner than we expected. We were assured that they would installl the new windows at our convenience, so we set-up an installation date and the crew arrived on time, ready to go to work. The entire crew was very professional, knowledgable, friendly and worked diligently to complete the job in one day. Window World was recommended to us by two homeowners and we have also recommended them and will continue to do so. We love our new windows and the wonderful lifetime guarantee.

We think we are going to use them this spring or summer. They were very professional and they definitely knew their product. They answered all of our questions.

It went smoothly, there were weather delays, but that's completely unavoidable. I know they were working during their busy season, so I thought they completed the job in a very timely manner, all things considered.

The service was excellent! I did have some issues with the doors but they came right out and fixed it immediately. It was good service and I would recommend to anyone!

Communication was excellent from start to finish. The estimator was friendly and knowledgeable. Office staff was friendly. The two installers were courteous and friendly and worked quickly and professionally. And they did not make a mess even though they had to go up to my second floor and crawl up into my attic. Completely pleasant and stress-free transaction from beginning to end.

Their price and promptness is great. When they did a replacement one of the windows was broken they put the order in right away for the replacement of it and it was in within a couple of weeks. Which I liked.

First Window World set up an appointment to do an estimate. Then they set up a date to install our windows. All seven (7) windows were installed within the day. They were very courteous, professional and did a thorough job.

We checked with Angie's and BBB before contracting with Window World....both rated them highly. The man doing the estimate was quite friendly and helpful in answering our questions. The warranty is for as long as we own the home (may even be transferrable - I'd have to check on that), and covers all reasons (even accidental breakage). The couple who came to do the installation (a man and his wife) were here when promised, did a good and thorough job, and cleaned up completely afterward, also helping me to move and move back some furniture, and hang up shades and curtains. They said that the work order did not include trim work on the outside of the windows. I could not believe that, if the results of not having trim work had been explained, I would have opted not to have it done. They called the home office and the woman in the office told them to go ahead and do it regardless of whether we had signed up for it or not, and we were not charged extra for it. Very good experience overall - would recommend them to anyone who needs window work done.

When the installers came they found that the frame that was put in by another company was not quite straight and they had to do some extra work to make the door fit into the frame, and they thought they might charge me more for the extra work but the company said they weren't going to charge us anything extra because they should have seen that in the beginning when the salesman was there. They were very good because I would have been willing to pay the extra. The installers were very, very efficient. I'd give them a five star rating. Their price and quality were excellent and they were right on time.

I only needed one window replace. Two companies didnt wnat to give estimate, one give estimate at twice the cost. Window World didnt give me a sales pitch, just did the job I requested.

My initial call to Window World was on Thursday, May 24th for a Saturday, May 26th appointment, it was scheduled with no problems or haggles. Salesman came out, looked at my initial problem that caused me to call Window World, thereafter he measured all the windows, accessed other issues, very details about the new Lead paint laws in PA (which I was unaware of), provided financing options etc.........just an overall fantastic onsite visit. Keep up the good work guys, I already have a friend in NY who I referred Window World too.

I was happy with the job they did overall. Everything went well with them. I would probably use them again in the future if I need to.

Fabulous service, great installers. Exceptionally pleased! The old windows didn't fit and almost impossible to heat the cabin, new windows were installed behind the old ones so the character of the cabin remained but with new windows for heat retention. I can't recommend Window World highly enough!

They had done windows for us very nicely in the past, so only we thought of calling them back again to do some of the other windows. Nobody can beat their prices. They advertise $186 a window, no matter what size. They got here a little late only because where we are they had a trouble finding our house; but once they found the place, they got here quarter after 8. By the lunch time, they were packing up and leaving with 13 windows done. These guys came in, boom-bam thing and they were in and out. There were just two guys. When they left, they were even nice enough to give us very special caulking and the stuff on the outside. They cleaned up all the stuff. When they took off the old window, they even took off the aluminum. I really liked to keep the aluminum because I got a friend who takes the aluminum for scrap. They took the glass off for me and took the glass with them. They left the aluminum for me. They are nice. It was a double pane flipper type. The quality was good.

They have good pricing. They were courteous; they went over everything thoroughly, explained things to me and showed me the windows. I am waiting for them to call and tell me when the windows are ready because they make them out at the factory for each job and I am expecting them any day now to come and put them in.
