We've used Groff's for the bi-annual service of our heating and air conditioning systems for at least three years. During that time we were very happy with the technicians they sent to the house. Both for their punctuality, as well as their professionalism. However, this winter when our heat went out, I was extremely disappointed. After being a customer for more than three years, the technician had no idea or access of our system. He was unable to diagnose the issue and tell if there were parts available to fix the issue. In addition, he came out anyway and told me there was nothing he could do until Monday when he could get a part. So i'm stuck without heat for an entire weekend with the outside temperatures below freezing and he also wants to charge me more than $300 just for coming out to tell me he can't fix it. I ended up calling and using another local company to fix the issue and our bi-annual service. Not only are they charging much less for the service, but they don't charge exorbitant "emergency" fees and have access via wireless technology (iPads that connect to their office system) and apply those fees to the repair. We will NEVER call Groff's again.
