YE OLDE YARDLEY FLORIST

Appalling!!!! I received a message on my answering machine that there was a delivery at my front door. Both myself and my Husband looked to see what and Where it was? After the third LOOK,,,we found a small vase of flowers hidden behind one of my flowerpots. It was hard to read the card,as the computer ink had run out and was faded....Plus the message ran together without spaces between the words,,,therefore, we did not know who they were from. There was a box of Russell Stovers chocolates attached to my front door handle in a dollar store bag- the chocolates were not completely sealed. there was no note in the bag. I assumed a neighbor had left them there for my Birthday??? Most folks do not call and complain to a florist after receiving a gift from someone. I KNOW Yardley florist is ridiculously expensive- so I called to complain, and request a refund to "the person?" that had sent the flowers. After much debate with the girl that answered the phone- she told me that the chocolates WERE delivered in the dollar store bag, and this was "normal protocol" for delivery. and the flowers were average, not a balanced arrangement of flowers...there was no Cellophane wrap around the flowers, just a vase of flowers hiding behind a flower pot. After much debate,,, and I told the person who sent them to me, she was offered 10% off ........NOT !!!! She put me through to the owners voice mail, which was FULL... I guess a lot of people had the same experience????? I would never use this florist again. A Lot of our Family lives in Yardley, and I strongly recommend going to McCaffery's and picking up an arrangement for a special occasion. In My Opinion: Most people who receive a gift of flowers by delivery do not complain, as they would not want to offend the gift giver.... With Yardley Florist 's prices,,, I would not hesitate to let them know you are unhappy with their flowers....... and at the very LEAST''''get another arrangement !
