To put it simply, Vince was amazing! He is the kind of inspector that encourages you to shadow him throughout the process and ask questions. This was very important to us we were first time home buyers, plus the house we were closing on was 90+years old. Vince was very thorough and detailed oriented, and because of this, he identified a good number of concerns we completely missed on our walk through and that was not mentioned on the sellers disclosure. Regardless he didn't "scare" us from buying or exaggerate issues like many inspectors tend to do. He was straightforward and explained what we can fix on our own, what we can wait on or save for later down the road, and what should be addressed sooner than later. As a result, we got more money back from the seller than we originally would have. Another thing that was really great about Vince was the quality of this inspection report and how quick we received it (within 3 days). It had an index page that referenced each category such as electric, HVAC, plumbing, foundation, etc. I was prepared for it on being lengthy; however, this was mostly due to his detailed, but easy-to-understand explanations, photos, and solutions on how to address/fix each issue. It also came with general home up-keep and maintenance info that is helpful for FTHB's such as myself. That being said, I will be holding on to it. Most importantly, he was available to answer any questions over the phone or email following the inspection and after the report was received. Overall, Vince is someone I would highly recommend and worth every penny!

I have secured Vince's home inspection services for seven properties. I am always highly impressed with the breadth of his knowledge and the thoroughness of his reports. During the home inspection process, Vince shares concerns in a clear, easy to understand manner. When noting items in need of repair or remediation, he provides context in a most reassuring manner. His seasoned skills and personable demeanor make him my go-to home inspector. His insights have been invaluable to my past home purchases.

We contracted with Mr. Tecce to perform a home inspection. His failure to highlight significant defects in our newly purchased home cost us $15k. We discovered copious water and mold damage 48 hours after closing in the home. His contract creates severe liability restrictions, and he was unwilling to even return the fee we paid to him for his largely incompetent inspection. This is not a professional I would recommend. If you need inspection services, seek an engineer with broad and deep knowledge of homes, not someone who may have knowledge of one area. Their failure to know or seek will cost you serious money. His services are a hard no from my point of view. If you do go with him, read your contract very carefully. While you may be on the hook for expensive repairs his “inspection” misses (he even owned up to missing relevant issues related to the defect and still he kept our $750 fee!!), he is wrapped tightly and well insulated by his contract terms. Oh to know then what I know now.

The experience was great, he was extremely helpful with the process and made it as easy as could be, he answered all of my questions in a very detailed way to help me understand everything, the cost was very reasonable and he saved me alot of money on the house iw as interested in buying with his report. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and will definitely be using him again in the future!

He took well over 3 hours to complete the inspection.  He walked me through every single detail imaginable and bringing the lingo down to my level so I could understand what is going on.  His notes and thoroughness were unmatched.  I think being detail oriented is an understatement with Vince! Mr. Tecce is the correct man for the job. He basically give a home a colonoscopy. He inspections include: the exterior of the home including roofing, building envelope, walkways, basics of chimneys, windows, etc; entire interior; basement &/or crawl spaces including the floor framing & foundation; electrical system: including the panel, outlets, switches, etc; the HVAC system; the plumbing system, interior surfaces and appliances. I use Mr. Tecce to inspect between 10-15 houses a year.
Mr. Tecce is not a code official, home inspectors are hired to make you aware of the condition of a home and it's serious deficiencies; repair or replacement needs; maintenance & safety information about your home or the home you are interested in buying.
