Troy, who did the work, was extremely polite, friendly, and worked right through without taking breaks.  Every task, he talked through options and suggestions for us. He even swung by the next day to drop off some extra cable covers from a different job that he thought we could use.  We would definitely use this company again.

I called for an estimate to hang 6 interior doors. I was able to get an estimate over the phone (which was very reasonable to hang 6 doors.)  and schedule the work to be done just 2 days later. This was great, very fast service at a great price. Frank was friendly and knew what he was doing. He got the 6 doors hung in less time than was projected and they look great. We will use them again in the future.

1. He placed  air conditioner in window. He  informed that I was not to use long screws in window's ledge. The long screws could damage the glass. He removed a show rod that was about to collapse. Last , he secure a shelf over my bathroom toilet.
2. I'm having them return to renovate a shed and paint.

I purchased handyman service for 3 hours.  In those 3 hours, Rob was able to do a lot of repairs.  He put up faux wood blinds on seven of my windows, put a lock on my patio door, and sprayed foam to fill a hole in my garage.  Rob even used his own screws as he did not like those that came with the blinds and lock.  Rob was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. This is the second time I have used this service and plan to use them in the future when I need a handyman.

I was a bit surprised to be charged for the time he took to go to Home Depot and back to get the quarter round and bulbs - I crowdsourced it on Facebook and my friends were divided.  At any rate, I got the receipt and they made no money on the supplies at all and laid out the money. The quality of the work was good, Frank was a pleasure to work with and I'd probably use them again. They allowed me to use two of the special offers on Angie's list - $119 for 3 hours. I am a new homeowner so my B for price could be off, I have never hired contractors before - everything seems pricey to me :-)

I purchased 2 Angie's List coupons, each for 3 hours of handyman work. Harry came to the house, looked at the various jobs I asked about and said that it might be as long as a week before he sent me an estimate due to overlapping vacations. As it turned out, I received it in just a few days. The total estimate was for about $1,300 which included the above items plus the purchase and installation of a double hung window. I mistakenly purchased 2 of the Angie's list coupons without reading the fine print that placed a limit of one coupon, and RHS graciously honored both coupons.
I had a little bit of trouble communicating with the owner - he responded to all of my questions via email and often responded to only one question when I had asked three. The work was all scheduled to be performed on Monday, July 9. That morning, the electrician arrived and did a great, efficient job of replacing the outlets. I finally called the office in the afternoon and left a message asking when the other work would be done -  received an email the following day saying that they'd be out on Thursday. They did arrive and complete the job on Thursday. Plumber did a great job installing faucet/showerhead. Painter was ok - not the greatest job I've ever seen, but okay.
The work ended up taking less time than was estimated, and the owner indicated that he was going to look for a window close to the size of my broken one ( I think this was to save me money by not ordering a custom made window - which I greatly appreciate). He also accomodated me by quickly sending me a revised invoice and allowed me to pay part in cash and part by credit card.
For the most part, the work was very good. Not showing up for all work on the scheduled day was a slight inconvenience, but it would have really irritated me if I was working and had to take off a second day. No question I would use them again, but would try to communicate via telephone for more clear, concise info.

I have used them before and they did a great job again. They went with me to Home Depot since my little car would not fit the flooring and drywall that was needed and they made sure I only bought what was needed. They did the job quickly and the bamboo floor looks great.

I got them off of Angie’s List; I liked them.  I got a special offer on Angie’s List of $119 for three hours of work and I paid around $10 for the materials.  They were on time and seem very punctual.  They were very thorough and trustworthy; if there was something that they can do they will do it otherwise they tell me the exact problem.  They were supposed to come again today but they could not so they are going to come next week.

What bothered me the most was that he came out knowing that the tub was running slow, but came unprepared with a snake for the job. He said someone would call me to set up the additional appointment but they never did, I had to call them. When I spoke to them over the phone, they told me $60 for the snake but when the rep showed up he told me it was $85. He accepted the $60 for the job. Now, I have a leak in my dining room right below the tub. I have tried contacting them to come out and take a look at the problem and haven’t gotten a call back yet, but am expecting one today.

It was a great experience. They were on time. They did the work perfectly. They were so efficient with removing the awning that they had time left over to do the electrical sockets for me as well. They cleaned up behind themselves. I would definitely recommend them. I would have them do work for me again. I actually asked them to do a few estimates for other things that I need to have done.

Troy from Reliable Handyman came punctually. He worked for almost an hour adjusting the wheels on the screen door, but in the end found it necessary to clean out the track and re-caulk it. The door is now working smoothly and is seated correctly in its track.
For nearly 2 hours of work, we were charged only $89.00.  This is our second experience with Reliable Handyman. Both have been excellent,

I don?t even know where to start with these guys. Harry (project manager) came out and gave me a quote on fixing drywall, some minor electrical work, refinishing the hardwood floors, crown molding, and installing a tile backsplash. The work was started on 5/7/2012 and till this date none of the five projects are done. Throughout the whole process it was excuse after excuse on why they couldn?t finish or do the job.  I have to hire someone to finish work and fix their mistakes. I could elaborate more on this awful experience but the pictures I have attached will show the poor craftsmanship. The only thing these guys are capable of doing is changing a light bulb. They call themselves RELIABLE but they are far from reliable.
Joe Humli the owner of the company could care less about the quality of the work or the satisfaction of his customers.  Good luck getting a hold of Joe, he might return your call if you are lucky. A poorly managed company and it starts with the lack of leadership. Save your money and find another company.
Response from Reliable Handyman Services Inc
"This could not be further from the truth. The project was started by another contractor and for some reason is no longer there? The homeowner wanted to supply his own materials and stated the materials would be waiting for us in the living room. they were not. That made us a little uncomfortable. We do not typically finish jobs started by another contractor but it was an Angies list costomer so we decided to proceed. The first day the homeowner changed the scope of the job, almost doubling the amount of crown to be installed. That our company had also purchased. The home owner was informed that additional materials were needed to continue with the project, they were not provided. After a week of providing Labor and Materials, I did not feel comfortable continuing until are invoices are paid. Thank You for reading."

The handyman arrived on time and his name was Leo. The first think I had Leo do was to inspect a wall for me because I need the bottom portion of the wall replaced. Leo gave me his thoughts and helped me to realize that it was not as bad as I thought it was. He informed me of all the materials needed to rebuild the partial wall which I can't thank him enough for and once he finished that off to work he went. I needed 3 ceiling fans replaced and he was great, He also fixed a door which I had given up on trying to fix and I'm very greatful for that because the door is a one of a kind and cannot be replaced.  I cannot thank Leo enough for what he has done and I'm going to make another purchase for a handyman and would like to request him to do the work. Leo you did a great job and I thank you very much.

Joe returned my call quickly and Stanley was sent out to my home within a few days to meet my schedule. I had a copper pipe leaking, a small drywall repair, and an electrical outlet to be checked out. The copper pipe to water heater was repaired by adding another piece. The drywall was done and other areas of drywall problems were around the door were pointed out to me which I appreciated and Stanley repaired.Stanley showed me how the outlet in my cement wall was burnt out probably from a fire. I will try to contact the contractor that built the decorative brick wall and see if he is willing to fix it.
The only reason why I gave a B for quality is I found a large puddle of water near the copper pipe repair. I called Joe and he had Stanley come out to fix it. I bought some pipe and had it fixed with one long piece instead of a patched in piece. I found Stanley to be very nice and he knew what he was doing so I hired him to do some carpentry work the day he came to repair the pipe.
I think Reliable Handyman is a well run business with good workman. I plan on hiring them for a third job soon. I would like to add that the 3 hour coupon of $119.00 for 3 hours of work to be helpful and appreciated.

purchased a number of hours for handyman service; needed dry wall hung; it was a bit complicated b/c pipes were in the way and a small space. I purchased the dry wall ahead of time. Handyman had to cut to fit, hang, mud. He complained a bit about how complicated it was, but that's why I hired someone else. He didn't mud a difficult corner b/c he said it wouldn't look good, was difficult, so I wound up doing it myself. the dry wall was hung fairly well but he missed a few screws on one end b/c it was hard to get to. I also had to put those in. Basically, the reason I hired someone was b/c the job was difficult and clearly he had more experience than I did in hanging, mudding, etc, but I don't think he was that great. it was a decent bargain b/c Angie's List was running a special. I also didn't appreciate him smoking while at my house and bringing in his smell when he came back in the house. I won't use the company again b/c it wasn't a good experience but at least it got done- even if I had to do some of it myself.

This was a horrible experience; one that I will not easily forget and one that has left me awake at night annoyed and upset with their unprofessionalism.  The replacement of the screen door went fine (what can go wrong?) other than the clean-up which included Stanley putting long pieces of wood with nails sticking out into my trash as well as trash into my recycle bin.  But the disaster was his tile job.  This man is no "tile man".  In fact he did such a horrible job of laying down the 15 sq ft (not much) of tile that I asked him to leave before he could grout it and make the damage permanent.  Harry came to the rescue the following day with a man who knew how to tile and while they did the best that they could to fix it however permanent damage had already been done.  Stanley had cut out too much of the wood of my beautiful fire mantle to fit the tile and even though the men tried to fix the mistake with wood filler it looks horrible and I will always need to put something in front of it to hide their error.  Besides ruining my wooden mantle, the clean-up that these guys do is lousy.  Leaving debris on my front yard including cigarette butts, walking on my rugs with their muddy shoes rather than using a drop cloth and I had to mop up large areas following both days of work.
Response from Reliable Handyman Services Inc
"It is true that the installation of this tile did not go smoothly; the customer had purchased a glass and stone mosaic which comes from the manufacturer on a sheet. The customer did not like how they were manufactured at different thicknesses (meaning that they were up and down randomly). The customer asked the installer to remove some of the glass tiles and replace with stone. The tile is designed to look that way, I saw the pictures of the installation it looked beautiful. Oak trim was used to match the existing to cover the spaced in the mantle and the hearth. Standard practice is to remove all debris from the job site it may have been overlooked if there was tension between the home owner and the installer."

Harry was a pleasure to work with.  There was never a time that we could not communicate.  He always returned my calls promptly. Let me say that I really like these guys and had decided to use their services long before  we actually worked together.  A large part of my decision was based on feedback from Angie's List consumers. However, with the exception of a few things I was not pleased with the overall work.  In some areas they painted over wall paper which did not look nice.  They broke the bottom stair and at first stated it was like that when they started.  Then they said it was due to the carpet removal.  Then, after complaints from me they said they would fix the stair but they did not.  It still remains broken.  They broke glass inset doors to the closet in one of the bedrooms.  They removed the bathroom window and I had to push them to put it back because it was starting to get cold outside.  They left their debris in the home, paint buckets and a few other items.  I wanted, more than anhthing, that attention to detail and professionalism that says, no matter how big or small the job, a company takes pride in what they do.  That ideal, that attention to detail, seems to very elusive these days.  Maybe I watch too much HGTV!

There was a phas II to this job that Mr. Humli estimated to be about $3800.00, but based on what they had already done I decided not to go further.

Response from Reliable Handyman Services Inc
"I would like to thank this customer for taking the time to leave feedback on Angie’s List for our company. I would like to address some of the issues that they mentioned in the above statement. Budget was always a big issue and removing the wall paper before painting was not going to be possible. The home was a rental property and was not very well taken care of. After removing the carpet from the stairs we notice that a tread was cracked which may not have been felt with padding and carpeting on top. The broken glass upstairs had been cracked prior to our arrival and the window for the bathroom had never been operational we needed to bring it to the shop and repair it and then bring it back to the property to install it. The paint cans we left were extra paint for the home and should be kept on site. All in all she was a great customer and great to work for and I appreciate her business."
