Garrett Churchill A Landscape Company

Came out and drew up a landscape plan for my front yard.
It took a long time to schedule. It took even longer to get the plan once he had been here.
His plan was uninspired and boring. 
It wasn't worth the special deal at $75.

Could not even get an appointment.

They were very nice and very professional and very timely. But the design did not impress us and the price seemed quite high. We made some suggestions on what we were thinking about and it seemed like they just took those ideas and drew a picture of those ideas and gave us a pretty high quote. I am uncertain if we would use the again. Maybe.

It went well. The guy seemed very knowledgeable and suggested different ways we could do the project and ways to save money. He was also very professional.

They did a good job. They did a new planning, I actually did the design and they installed new planing in front of my property. I think their price was a good value. They were prompt and they did what they promised to do.

Andy and his team installed outdoor lighting.  The quality of the work was excellent, and I was impressed by the level of professionalism shown by this company throughout the process. Would strongly recommend to others.

They never bid on the job or even called me back or emailed. So I gave the job to another landscaping company.

Our overall experience was good  The owner visited our home took measurements and discussed the idea of a master plan  ideas.  He was punctual and polite.  Approximately a two weeks following the visit we received a one page landscape/hardscape plan for our entire back yard.  Although the plan was good it didn't provide the details and visual I was expecting.  I guess I watch too much HGTV;)    

We purchased a $75 big deal for landscape design.  Eric made several visits to discuss different design ideas and implementation options.  He spent a lot of time talking to us and asking questions about what we wanted and what was most and least important.  He gave us a couple different designs.  Once we picked one we liked more, he refined that design so that it met all of our needs/wants.  The most important factor was fixing drainage around an existing deck that, combined with a foundation crack, caused water to leak into our basement.  To Eric's credit, he recommended a basement waterproofing company that we ultimately used to fix the basement leak.  We purchased the big deal because we had no idea what new landscaping would cost.  Because of the price, we have not yet had any landscape work done.  When the time comes, we would be very comfortable contracting with Eric.  His professionalism, knowledge and design ideas were excellent.

Andy provided a clear and comprehensive quote within a couple of days of inspecting my property. The work was done more or less when I requested it, and was well and professionally executed.  We had very heavy rain immediately afterwards and the new drainage swale worked perfectly.

The salesperson was actually a landscape designer and he came out to our house several times. He was very professional, punctual, and courteous. He performed the work that was included in the deal and the service was done very professionally.

Eric is extremely knowledgeable. 
At times it felt like he was holding back information until he had a signed contract.
Maybe that's necessary to keep customers from taking advantage.
He gave us several good ideas, some of which we may be able to implement ourselves in a more modest cost manner at some time in the future when we have more time.
Some of the ideas just didn't fit for us when we thought about it over time.
We didn't realize how much of our time was going to be involved in making various seletions and choices.
For someone who has the time and shared vision, this would be a perfect fit.
I would recommend this company for those with time and money.
Their work is beautiful.  It just wasn't a good fit for us.

We were not aware of the exact date of service until they showed up. It happened to be the same day I was heading to the hospital for surgery, so the timing wasn't the greatest. In the end, it didn't matter much because our presence wasn't needed. The job appears to be well done, and the area cleaned up nicely. We had a pretty significant amount of rain since the repair without window well leakage. But I'll reserve final determination of its success after we've had a major rainstorm without water filling up our window well.

Use this company...  Professional, easy scheduling, responsive, and Andy, the owner, knows what he is talking about. 
Scheduling was good.  They fit my job into their tight schedule and it was much appreciated.  Andy was very quick to send planting options and  give advice on our selections.  He is a valuable source of knowledge and I was happy to have his expertise during the planning process. Pricing was fair, probably not the cheapest out there, but they certainly went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied and the job was done right.  Suzanne in the office had excellent communication with me.  Calls and emails to followup on everything and make sure I was happy with the work.
Had a couple of issues with the stone installation and they were corrected immediately.  Andy is all about customer satisfaction, he was onsite within a day and fixed the issue himself.  Now that's a hands on owner!  An outdoor spotlight was broken during the installation.  Not a problem, Andy was out the next day in the rain to replace.  Also had one of my trees start to fade a few weeks after the planting.  We weren't sure if it was dying or just overwatered. Again, not a problem.  Andy knew I wasn't happy with the tree and withing a week he and a crew showed up and planted a new one. 
Had a couple of hiccups with this job, but that's to be expected.  Rarely does everything go exactly to plan especially when you are dealing with living plants.
Bottom line, Garrett Churchill is an excellent company to work with.  I will no doubt use them again in the future. You get what you pay for.  Professional work, great communication, and excellent customer service.

There was to be an actual proposal provided with costs and details. This was never done and when I requested the information. it was never received.

The men that worked the project were friendly and accommodating.  They were here a week and they were right on board to do whatever had to be done.  I couldn't have been pleased more.
I had checked and got four other estimates and Andy was the fairest and had much better suggestions than the other landscapers and I felt right from the start, comfortable,  relaxed, and felt a real trust with him.  There was no pressure and that was so appreciated. He was there to do whatever I needed and gave excellent ideas and things that I was expected to get, Andy offered to pick up.
 I told Andy, I was concerned about the weeds and he said, if I have to, I'll come back with round-up and wipe any weeds that pop up.  Of course I wouldn't have done that, but knowing him, he would have done that.  If there is a problem, he doesn't give up until he is able to fix it.
You can't go wrong with Garrett Churchill Inc - He is one who can be trusted and cares what you care about!

Andy and his crew were professional, courteous, and responsive to our needs.  Andy found a problem in the fence, and with no prompting, came back and had his men fix it.  The landscaping and the fence enhance our yard.

Everything was great. The guy that came out was great and spent time chatting with us. They did really nice work and appreciate everything they did. They had nice drawings. They were very professional, responsible, on time and stuck to the schedule. I thought the deal price was a bargain. The guy was fantastic and we got a great drawing. They followed up a couple of time.

It went well. About a week later he sent me the plan and ideas.  I bought the coupon just to get ideas. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, the visit was prompt and I did not have any complaints with him.

J Andrew Sykes, President of Garrett Churchill met with my wife and me to discuss our interest in landscaping our property - front side and rear of house. Andrew was a patient, excellent listener who noted our interest in the type of landscape we wanted, including the type of trees, bushes and flowers, as well as the use of some of the space for outdoor privacy and relaxation. He also walked up and down our street to take in some creative approaches that our neighbors have used. He spent about 2-3 hours with us that first visit. He returned about a week later with detailed blueprints that included the types of plants that offered a variety of color and fragrance throughout the seasons, and would be robust for our location. Although we were very satisfied with his design and plans, implementation would be too costly for our current budget. Nonetheless we will keep his design in mind for some future time when we are in a better position to act on it.
