AUTHORIZED CAMERA REPAIR

Unfortunately, I an unexpected event came up and I needed the camera the very next day! The owner did a "quick clean" for me, just to get it up to par! The second time, I had a "malfunction", which turned out to be an "operator error!" Oops! He corrected the adjustment on my camera within 5 minutes. This shop is extremely trustworthy and reliable! I am so happy to have found a great, local camera shop!

There was no place locally for me to take it for repair. I requested an email estimate on their site and got a very prompt response the next morning with a firm estimate and detailed instructions about shipping, warranty on their work, etc. .Since the price to repair was less than half of replacement cost, I shipped the camera to them the same day. They were upfront in telling me that a part was back ordered so that the repair would take 4-6 weeks, rather than the usual 2-3 weeks. At the six week mark, I had not heard from them, so I emailed and got a fast personal response, saying they were working on it that day. They called and got my credit info and I had the camera back, good as new within a few days. It had been cleaned also and has worked optimally ever since.

I have talked to a couple of the camera shops in
Philadelphia about getting my Nikkor Pro Glass lens fixed. A couple of screws
had fallen out of the focus barrel, making the focus shift. I asked who they
send their camera and lenses to for repair and Authorized Camera Repair in
Willow Grove was the result time after time.
I got around to calling and asking about the repair. When I
talked to Matt, he was professional on the phone and suggested I bring the lens
in for him to evaluate or ship it to him. He let me know that there were
several possibilities for repair.
His shop is very conveniently located near the Willow Grove
SEPTA train station. A short walk from the train station and I was there. Check his website for current hours, but at
this writing he is not open on Sundays or Mondays.
I was greeted warmly and explained to Matt what was wrong
with the lens. He quickly determined that it was simply missing a couple small
screws. He replaced the two screws and gave the lens a once over, cleaning the
lens as he went. He pointed out a potential issue as one plastic ring is no
longer manufactured. He had a work around solution in case it stops working. I
was on my way to catch the next train back to Center City in short order.
I would highly recommend this shop. You can chose to take it
to a local camera shop, who will ship it to Authorized Camera Repair or take it
in yourself and save the middle man.

Call ahead to describe the problem and the tech was familiar with the problem. Drop the camera off and and
three weeks later he was able to replace the housing with a used one. Couldn't get new from the manufacturer.

I went to them because they were an authorized Canon repair place. I actually had to go back because something else happened. Whether the guy had made it happen or had not, he did fix it and did not charge. That would make me want to go back to him again.

Matt was extremely helpful. Canon had back-ordered some of the parts. Matt kept contacting them to get the needed parts. Camera now works perfectly.
