Mike and his team did a fabulous job on our house. They went way beyond our expectations. The men were professional and extremely nice. Mike went out of his way to make me happy. Mike Damario and his team of roofers did an excellent job. They were "on time," and worked continuously despite hot sunny conditions. Removal of the old tile roof was difficult and messy. The house, groundwork and shrubbery were thoroughly protected. No damage was incurred anywhere during the entire job, and cleanup was continuous and thorough. Mr. Damario was attentive, but not present during the entire job. His presence was not necessary as his crew were all professionals and self-starters. If Mike was needed, he was always available by phone, and would make time to inspect the job if necessary. Although we had not requested the installation of snow guards, and they were not included in his quote, Mike judged that the slope of the roof was such that their presence was necessary, particularly with a slick metal roof. He installed them throughout at no charge. In the end, there were no extras. We paid the price as quoted. If you are looking for a "cheap" job, do not look to Preferred Home Improvements as a solution. If you want nothing but a "top drawer" roof replacement; metal or otherwise, at a fair price with professional installers who work quickly and safely, then I can highly recommend Mike Damario and his team of roofing experts. By a "fair price," I mean neither high, nor low. Mike's price was competitive, and I'm very pleased that we decided to go with Preferred for our home re-roofing solution.

They did a great job, punctual and in contact with updates until the job was done. Mike checked in with us regularly about the process and any issues that came up, also making sure we were happy with how everything was going. He was flexible when meeting with us and very friendly and professional. He was able to give us ideas of things to do with siding when we weren't sure but didn't push anything on us. Overall really positive experience. The house looks fantastic.

Walter came to the house the same day that I called and he fixed the problem within an hour! He was very friendly, very professional and told us that he only lives 10 minutes away so we can call him if there are any further problems.

I had a serious stucco problem on my home that the builder refused to repair. Preferred Home Improvement removed the stucco and replaced it with siding. They were timely, professional, and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend them.

I want to state that although my husband and I are 100% satisfied with the END PRODUCT that we received, this contractor required far more "babysitting" to be sure that everything was done correctly. We had our concrete front steps and metal railing demo'ed and removed by the contractor. The original verbal quote indicated that they would be bringing in a dumpster for the construction debris, which did not happen (this wasn't written into the quote, however, so I imagine they discovered too late that the power lines on our street are too low.) During the first days of construction, one of the employees on the job attempted to dump something illegally in a nearby park, and the police were called. (The dumping was noticed by a township employee, confirmed by our neighbor, and confirmed by someone from the township, who stated that the contractor would be cited and fined as a result. The contractor insists that they were never cited.) The first problem was that the new steps were built with the top railing obstructing the door, making it impossible to open fully. We pointed this out, and the problem was fixed. In our opinion, this is not something that should have been allowed to happen in the first place, but they did move the railing without complaint.) Secondly, the steps were built with pressure-treated lattice on the outside to conceal the vertical supports. There were two problems with this: First, they left a mess of uneven rocks and dirt beneath the steps, which were plainly visible through the gaps in the lattice. Secondly, they appeared to use scrap pieces of lattice, rather than measuring and cutting the lattice so that the seams were neat and even. This resulted in some areas being "patchworked" and unsightly. When we pointed this out, we were reminded that the quote was for pressure-treated lattice. My husband and I had no problem at all with this, and -- if cut and applied correctly -- would have been perfectly happy with this. However, the pieces were not neatly cut, nor were they applied in an attractive manner. It was sloppy work. In the end, the pressure-treated lattice was replaced with all-weather vinyl lattice, at the contractor's expense. It was also done correctly, with the seams neatly aligned, rather than being patchworked together. We were grateful that they did this, and the end result is a truly beautiful set of steps that we're 100% and completely satisfied with. The communication between the office and the field personnel is frustratingly poor. On more than one occasion we were given conflicting information that the on-site person later corrected / clarified. We ended up having low confidence in what the "office" was telling us, versus the employee actually overseeing the work. With all that said: they did a fantastic job.
