LOUIS AUTO REPAIR

I was referred to Louis Auto Repair by a family member who has had no problems. Unfortunately, that was not my case. I made arrangements in advance to have my vehicle worked on while I was away for 3 days. I was told it should be no problem. I was starting to get very bad gas mileage about the last 2 weeks (12 miles to a gallon). I figured I should get it checked out. After bringing it to the shop I was never given a call on what the problem was or an estimate until I finally stopped in on the 5th day (by this time I am upset). I do have to mention I did leave several messages but there was an error with phone #s (apparently there are 2 Lou's Auto Repair shops in W-B). But at the same time the shop never contacted me. Owner stated he would order the parts immediately & would start working on the vehicle first thing in the morning (8am). I called him at 1:55pm and was told the vehicle would be finished in about 1 hour. I did not have a car so I decided to walk to the Garage knowing it would take me longer than 1 hour and I expected the vehicle to be ready. When I arrived at the Garage I was told it was not quite ready, he had other complications with his lift. I understood these things happen but after 2 hrs. later I was quite upset that the owner made no attempt to explain what was going on. I finally approached owner and asked if my car was driveable because I had enough and was ready to leave, he stated it was not driveable and it should'nt take much longer. Then 45 mins. later he states it will take another 15 mins., then another 45 mins. later he said it will not be ready and I might want to pick it up the next day. The next day when I was notified the vehicle was ready, my Sister & I went to pick it up. While checking out I noticed he tacked on my family members outstanding bill. I questioned the owner & he insisted I pay my family members bill along with mine. I refused because this was not my responsibility & felt it was very unprofessional of him to do this. He stated he was going to call the police because I refused, I replied "please do so I can speak to someone rational". He carried on but I did not argue back because I realized I am not dealing with a normal person. Needless to say it was a HORRIFIC experience and hope no one else ever needs to deal with a [professional] like this.
