The job foreman, Rob, arrived at our home one day after the initial call for an estimate.  Rob went up on the roof and inspected everything including the chimney.  After discussing his findings with us which included getting the chimney repaired and to forestall plans to put up our porch awning until all roof work was performed he left to prepare his estimate.  Within two days we had a detailed job estimate including material samples and brochures.
We then paid a visit to Craig Gouker Roofing to see material inventories and equipment that would be used to perform the kind of work we were planning.  The equipment all looked new and well maintained and there was a large inventory of roofing products on hand to take care of any situation.
We decided to hire Craig's company and asked to be put on the schedule ASAP.  We received a call from Craig the next day and the work was scheduled the following day.  At approximately 7:30 am the next morning three trucks including a trailer and a crew of five were at our door.  In several hours most of the main roof was stripped of the existing shingles etc.  Rob took a number pictures that showed that the original plywood sheets were warped causing irregularities at the seams.  After looking at the pictures and a personal inspection we made the decision that the existing wood would need to be overlaid to provide a rigid and even  base for the new roof.  In a short time the necessary material was sent to the job and the new sheets were installed.  By the end if the day ( 5:00 pm) we had a beautiful new roof on the house.  There were no humps or bumps, just a great looking dimensional roof.
The next morning the crew arrived and proceeded to replace the porch roof.  All debris was thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each work day and Rob and his crew were done and gone by lunch time on the second day.  We are totality satisfied with the work we had done and would recommend Craig's company to anyone.

Craig and his team did an exceptional job on our roof. The original roof was slate; and the addition was shingle. He replaced the entire roof with a beautiful dimensional shingle. The new roof looks like slate; but without the upkeep! We also had our gutters done with his gutter protection. No more Spring gutter cleaning as these are maintenance free at a fraction of the cost of the national brand. Craig's skillful staff was led by Foreman Rob. Rob is very knowledgeable and always answered any questions throughout the process. The guys left our site cleaner than they found it. We would highly recommend their services. We are very happy with their work.

Went great!  His workers were very professional.  They used a machine with a lift to catch all of the old roofing materials so that there was no mess or shingles etc. all over the yard as I've seen with other roofing companies.  I am very happy with the work and would definately hire him again for any roofing needs.

Very professional employees who installed the roof. Clean up was unbelievable on a daily basis. Craig explained everything and helped pick out the shingle color....which was PERFECT. Also, good follow up by Craig AFTER the job was finished as well. I am VERY pleased with all the work. If you had an A+ rating, I would give them that!

The work was covered by the insurance.  We liked them the first time when they came and did our roof.  They were professional and did a nice job.  They cleaned the odd really well and didn't leave anything nails or roofing materials.  They did a really nice job with the siding as well.  Somebody recommended them to us.  They accidentally damaged our siding with their equipment, but they replaced what they had damaged.  They were up front about it and forward.  They apologized to us.  They tried their best to match with the existing siding, but anyway we wanted to replace the whole siding.

I don't know where to start.  I am so pleased with my new roof.  From the get-go Craig was a real professional, helping me with the color selection and writing an estimate so that I could send it to my insurance company.  He called in advance to schedule the start date for the work and his excellent crew showed up right on time and got everything set up for access to the roof.  The next morning a full crew of about ten men showed up and got right to work.  The job was completed in three days and I couldn't be happier with the result.  Each and every man was efficient, polite and careful of my yard, deck and furniture.  When they were done, all areas were completely cleaned up with no left-over trash for me to deal with.  The final price was just slightly lower than the original estimate.  I would certainly recommend him to my friends and use him again if we have future needs.

We hired Craig Gouker Roofing at the end of August 2012 to replace our roof due to hail damage.   However, because he was so busy at the time, and it was not an emergency for us to have it done right away, we agreed to wait until spring to have him do the work.  Because of his great reviews on Angie's List, we really wanted him to do the job and figured he was worth waiting for.  We were not disappointed.  At the end of April I left a message for Craig telling him not to forget us.  He called back that same day and scheduled the job for the following week.  His crew arrived exactly on time.  We were very impressed by their work ethics and all the great equipment they brought with them.  They completed the job in a day and a half.  Clean up was unbelievable.  They even raked the grass to be sure they picked up everything and at the end of each day, they hauled everything away.   We never had to look at a dumpster sitting in our driveway for a week.  All the guys were very polite and friendly.  When they left they thanked us for the work and we thanked them for doing such a good job!

Because I have a flat roof, he recommended someone with more expertise with that job, and gave me a few contacts that he thought did good work.  He took the time to help me even though he was not going to benefit from it.  He was very honest and professional, and I would use him if another problem arises.

No problems whatsoever.  Let them do their jobs.  Don't "hover."

We chose Greg Gouker Roofing to replace the roof on our house on the recomendation of several friends.

I called Craig in late July and he came out and gave us an estimate.   He said that we would be put into his schedule for September and true to his word, that is when his crew came out and did the work.
The gentlemen on his crew were very professional and friendly.  We did end up having a day of rain in the middle of the job, but they were careful to make sure the roof was weather tight.

We called several professional roofing companies - some never returned our calls, some said they would come for an estimate, and didn't show.  Craig Gouker was referred to us by a family member who retired from the roofing business.  He said "Craig is a straight up guy who does QUALITY work.  Upon leaving a message, Craig called within a day and arranged to meet us.  On our first meeting be brought lots of information about products and had already made assessments about our potential needs through the use of a aerial software download.  He was able to calculate the approx material needs and quoted a fair price.
He dropped off samples for us and made great recommendations as to color.  He was spot on with communications and contacted us a few days before the job state to enure we were ready.  The crew arrived at a civil hour of the morning on the first day - all very professional.  Craig was with the crew the first day and was very accessible throughout the job.  His workers were great.
Craig operates a 1st class operation.  Materials were not dropped off ahead of time to clutter up the driveway as we saw with some other contractors.  The crew cleaned up every day.  No damage to the landscaping or flower gardens.  
Craig stopped by on a Saturday to talk with us after the job to explain and point out details and special attributes of the new roof.  Our job took about a week - but I know the roof has been professionally installed in a quality manner -- and will last a long time.

We are pleased to give a review of work completed at our home by Craig Gouker Roofing and Home Improvements.  We contracted Mr. Gouker to submit a bid to replace the roofs on our house and detached garage. 

Mr. Gouker came to our home and gave us a detailed bid with printed information about the shingles and products he would be using.  He explained everything to us in detail.  He is very knowledgeable and personable.  His bid was very competitive and because of all the information he gave us, recommendations from previous clients and  our co-workers,  we chose him as our roofing contractor. 

The shingles we chose had to be ordered by his supplier and he kept us informed, almost daily, on when the shingles would be delivered.  Mr. Gouker, his large crew (6 to 7 people) and very modern equipment arrived promptly on the day the shingles were received.  His crew was hardworking and courteous.  They showed respect for our personal property and moved and covered everything around our house and garage.  The work was completed in a very timely manner.  The roofs were installed as bid and look great.  There was a good deal of emphasis by Mr. Gouker and his crew to details.  Once the work was completed all areas were cleaned and debris removed.  We are more than pleased with the outcome.

We contacted Mr. Gouker in June 2011 to provide an estimate for a new roof and cap an unused chimney and replace flashing as needed.  We decided to hire him and he indicated he could begin the work in mid to late August weather permitting. Craig called us on 9/18/11 and said he and his crew would begin work at 7 am on the 19th. 
Mr. Gouker asked if we could ask a neighbor to allow some of his machinery to access the side of our house so that a "roofer's buggy" could be used.  Our neighbor agreed and work began. The old shingles were removed, new luan wood was put down, flashing was replaced, an unused chimney was capped and new roof shingles were placed in about two days of work.  The "roofer's buggy" contained the mess of the shingle debris and nails very well.  We are pleased with his work and feel confident the roof will last for a very long time.

I called him in June, 2010.  He called me back July 8, 2010.   He said he was very busy and would give me a call back when he could give me a time.  He called and gave me an estimate on my gutters at the end of August, which is all I expected to get done.
The estimate was $2,400.  The crew came all in Gouker roofing trucks, which made me feel safe, because the man I had remodel my baths came in a rusted old truck.  They started Sept. 1, and finished Sept. 2, 2010.

While the men were doing the gutters, they found that my roof wasn't looking too well.  He gave me an estimate on half of the roof, because the back of the house was worse.  I figured just get it all done.

The estimate on total roof was $17,295.  That included boards,Owens Corning fiberglas felt underlayment, 30 yr  dimensional
shingles, aluminum valleys, Alcoa drip edge, chimney flashing, ridge vent, and he painted all pipes.  He stated he wouldn't be
able to start for about four weeks.  His crew came November 1, and finished November 7, 2010.

I was very pleased over the winter, with the 3 feet of snow we got.  Not a problem, I felt safe.  However, when spring came in
2011, with all the rain; I had leaking in my garage.  I called Craig and he sent a truck with 2 of his crew the next day.  All it needed
was caulking around where the shed meets the garage roof.  They were very polite and repaired it.

He gave me a 5 year guarantee.  Craig and his crew were very professional and did an excellent  job.  I highly recommend them.

I called Craig Gouker Roofing on June 23, 2011, the owner returned my call within a few hours, and we discussed what needed to be done.  He asked me some important questions as to the job that I haven't even thought of  and visited my home the next day.  He scheduled the job for the following week.  On Sunday evening Craig Gouker called to tell us that he could do the job the next day and scheduled for 7 am.  His crew was right on time, immediatley started to work and was very professional.  The clean up was great and Craig visited the job while in progress.  I would use Craig again and in fact have already referred him to my mother.  If you want professional work at a good price with good wokers, this company would be your choice.   

He did respond quickly to to tell me that he would not even give me an estimate because he could not take on the job and complete it before the end of the year.
