From the very beginning Craig was outstanding.  He explained the process and did not pressure me at all.  I got two other estimates and Craig was also the lowest.  I decided to have him to the work because of his honesty and commitment to quality.  The crew arrived at 7:30 am and worked until about 7:30 pm.  My wife was home all day and she said the crew worked steadily all day and never heard one swear word.  The foreman had 30 years of experience.  The finished up the next morning and the roof looked great.  The cleaned up afterward until the place was spotless. They even did a couple extra tasks on the roof and the gutters with out charging me.  High quality work at a reasonable price.  I won't go to another roofer after this experience.  Good to see that great companies still exist out there.

Ryan and his crew arrived on time and ready to work. They began by covering my driveway and my landscaping around the work area. After this was in place the men moved the containment bins into place and removed the old roofing material. I was pleased with the clean as you go ethic. As the men worked the step by step process, everything was like clockwork. The job was done in a timely manner and to perfection. After completion the area was policed for debris, and a magnet was dragged to be sure there were no nails or metal pieces on my property.  I am pleased with every aspect of the job, from my initial visit from the estimator Brian, Ryan and his crew, to a visit from Craig after the job was completed. Everyone was respectful and professional. This is a first class operation and the price was fair and honest. I would reccomend Craig to anyone looking for a new roof. I contacted the provider for some work to be performed on my home. Without taking time to come and see what the work entailed I was emailed back that the job was too small.
 
Having experience with the home improvement business and working extensively with customers, I find it is seldom a good idea to assume a job is too small when in reality it could lead to additional work.

They took 3 entire days.  At times there were 10 men working on the roof!  They were courteous, hard-working, punctual.  They cleaned up after themselves.  They communicated with us as needed.  I appreciated their attention to detail- such as making sure our gutters and downspouts were kept clean, since we have a cistern and get our water from our roof.  I also appreciated that they had the means to collect most of their waste in their own dumpster and on tarps with which they covered the ground around our house.
I liked the fact that they seemed proud of their work and enjoyed what they do.

Excellent!  Craig was the only roofer who offered the CertainTeed Granulated Rubber for our porch roof - you can see our back porch roof so we didn't want a black rubber roof.  We were able to find a color that matched the shingles.  We found almost no debris, they did a great cleanup.  Our neighbors said the workers were friendly.  Craig also came out recently (at no cost) to check on the flashing around the chimney - we found moisture in our attic.  We didn't think it was the roof - we thought it was coming from the chimney, but wanted to make sure.  Craig came right out and confirmed the moisture was not related to the roof, but felt the chimney liner was cracked (which upon further inspection, it was).

Everything went as planned. Craig and his crew go above and beyond.

He wasn't the cheapest and he wasn't the most expensive but chose him due to his honesty upfront and the recommendation of a friend.  I was not disappointed!  Did an amazing job and fast.  Cleaned up great after the job too as I found no roof nails at all around my property and having a dog that was extra important.
His crew was very professional, answered any questions I had, and got called "sir" more than I've been called in a long time.
I got many estimates and a few cheaper that I was unsure of the quality would get....    Was most comfortable with Craig and he wasn't a lot higher so decided to pay more for expected quality work and that's exactly what I got.  Highly recommend!

He told me he could not do the job.  He was honest to tell me what kind of work he does and also gave me some recommendations.

They showed up first thing in the morning on the day they had said they'd be there.  Originally Craig had estimated the job would take 1.5-2 days.  We knew there was one bad spot that would need replaced with new plywood, but it turned out to be a lot more labor than was originally planned.  When they had removed all the old shingles, Ryan (the leader of this particular crew) showed me numerous pictures he had taken of the multiple locations where the plywood had begun rotting through.  In addition to the bad sections of the roof, there was also a cricket to shunt water away from my chimney.  Ryan showed me more pictures indicating it was all rotted out as well, and explained how that had contributed to the other problems.  He indicated that replacing everything would entail a higher cost than I had been quoted, but Craig would be very fair.  They went ahead and fixed it all, making what was forecasted as a 2 day job twice that length.  After they completed the work, the crew spent at least an hour and a half cleaning up after themselves.  When they left, you would have had no idea they'd been working there all week.  The next day when Craig and I sat down to settle the final bill, it was only $400 higher than his original estimate.  I was honestly expecting it to be at least twice that.  Craig might not be giving you the lowest quote, but you get what you pay for.  In this case, it's someone who is going to go out of his way to fix your problems and treat you excellently.  I truly appreciate that when the job turned out to be bigger than we thought, his guys kept me informed and were willing to put in the extra time.  I'd much rather pay a little more and get it done the right way the first time than go with the cheap option and have problems a few years down the road.

When preparing to hire a contractor to replace my roof, I must say that I prayed about it. I knew it was going to be a big expense and I wanted God to lead me to the right person. And he did. Craig and his crew were fantastic in all ways. EVERTHING was done as he stated and in a very timely fashion. When the crew arrived and they were stepping out of their trucks, I could hear the lead person IMMEDIATELY giving direction to the rest of the crew. They were gathering their equipment and the lead man was giving instructions to begin work. No hanging around drinking coffee or smoking or talking going on. The work was perfect and the leak around my chimney was resolved as well. BRAVO! I can't say how many times I have had work done at my home by other contractors that has suffered in professionalism, work quality, and time. DO NOT HESITATE to use Craig for any repair or replacement roofing needs you may have...his company and work are great!  As a side note, Craig gave me a referral for Ken Schell to do some electrical work for me and they were awesome as well. I believe that you are a part of who you associate with...and Craig obviously hangs out with the best. Thanks Craig!!!!

If you need a new roof this is the company you want! Excellent product and service. Very professional and prepared. They take there roofing seriously. Thanks to Craig and his crew for a job well done. I have already received many compliments from my neighbors. I of course love it!!

I contacted the company and left a voice message and they called me back the next day to schedule an appointment for Craig to come out and take a look at my roof. Craig was on time and he actually went up on the roof and took a look at things. (I had two other roofers come and they didn't even go up). Craig said that some spots on my roof seemed spongy and mentioned that we can add 1/4 inch sheet of wood to the existing roof or replace all the wood with 5/8 inch. He said that he'll write up an estimate and he did that right then and there - that was great as I didn't have to wait. His written estimate was very detailed; specified all the work items and cost associated with each one. He also broke down what it would cost to just add the 1/4 inch wood to the roof vs what it would cost to replace it with 5/8 wood. Craig was very clear, honest and open about what needed to be done and what to expect.
I got estimates from two other companies and they were lower (not by much),  but I still decided to go with Craig Gouker Roofing as the reviews and the attention to detail seemed great with Craig.
4 weeks later Craig contacted me and informed me that I am next on the list and the crew will be there on 6/27 between 7:20 and 7:30. His crew was at my door step at 7:20 am. They setup everything and got right to work. I must say that Craig's crew is very professional and did a fantastic job. They also cleaned up everything very well. They complete the job in 2.5 days.

Craig came to us as a referral from an associate in the contracting business. Being an outside of the box thinker, Craig was easily able to determine what it would take to correct flaws in the old roof that were contributing damage to our home. Craig came in spot-on with our budget, and completed the work earlier than expected.  
We communicated schedules to Craig ahead of time to assure complete access to his team, with minimal-to-no interruption to our own working family?s schedules. Throughout the entire process, our family?s schedules never met with interruptions.
Our newly purchased home is in the woods, not easily navigated around with any type of equipment. Somehow, Craig?s team was able to situate their equipment on the garage end of the house, and work their way around.
As the new roof was installed, and the skylight replaced, we could easily see a fantastic transformation taking place on each angle of our multi-level roof.  The outdated installation process that the old roof displayed was being replaced with that of new construction.  The workmanship of his highly skilled team was excellent!
Throughout the entire process, Craig?s professional roofing team kept the perimeter of our home very clean of debris.  We never had to worry we would drive on a nail, or track any remnants of the old roof inside our home.

We appreciated the value in his workmanship so much, that we had him come back this week to install new gutters and downspouts. And, for just a little bit extra, we negotiated a cleansing of the existing soffit and fascia, which restored it to like new condition.

When you?re replacing a roof, you really need to be careful who you hire as a roofing contractor.  Craig Gouker Roofing did an excellent job in replacing our 28 year old house roof and detached deck roof.  Craig was polite and professional from the initial estimate to the completion of the job.   Extremely happy that the company used quality Owens-Corning products.

The roofing equipment was quite impressive.  Well equipped trucks and also included a mobile machine with a lift that caught all of the old roofing materials as it was stripped.  This kept our yard and driveway free of debris.

Ryan and his crew did an awesome job.  Always courteous, professional and answered all of our questions.  They took great care not to damage our landscaping and our car trailers that were parked close to the house and deck.

We could not be happier with the quality work that was completed from start to finish and would highly recommend Craig Gouker Roofing.

He did a great job, it looks really good!  I wanted overhang on the house (the roof extended ~1 1/2-2 feet), and they did a great job with that construction.  The gutters look great and looks really good with our house.  The crew worked really hard.  We had one small issue with our siding sticking out that I didn't see on the final walk-around, and first thing the next morning they came out and put a screw on the siding which fixed the problem.  We had another small issue and the owner came out the day I called to look at the problem.  We also had only 1 bathroom vent going outside through the attic and 1 with no outlet (venting to the attic), and his crew re-installed and installed 2 new vent tubes and vents, so both of our vents now vent outside.  And our gable vent screens were pretty much falling apart, so with the new ridge vent, I finally was able to close them off.  So the roof installation solved many problems and we are happy.  The owner definitely takes pride in his company, and it really looks great.

I called Craig for an estimate, he called back right away.  Gave me his cell number, stopped by to give me an estimate which I thought was very reasonable.  Was over to repair the roof very quickly.  I was impressed by the speed at which he was able to respond to a small job like this when I know they are busy with large roofing jobs right now.  They were all very professional.  Left no mess.  I highly recommend them and would call again for any job like this.
