Tom and staff are amazing. Compared to several other companies we were referred to for repair. Tom's was by far the best choice. From initial contact they were polite and accommodating. Tom did the assessment for repair via phone, email and pictures. When he scheduled to come to our home for the repair, he was punctual and professional. He efficiently made the necessary repairs, all while protecting our television and respecting our home. Without hesitation I would refer Tom's to anyone that needs TV repair. They are AWESOME!!!!
Description of Work: Fulfilled Samsung warranty request.

The TV is approximately 5 years old. The sensor which picks up the signal from the remote had stopped working. While I could manually turn the TV on and off using the touch pad on the front of the TV and use the cable remote for everything else, I did not have access to any of the advanced functions as the front touch pad was only for On/Off, Channel Up/Down, or Volume. I checked online for Samsung authorized service and was surprised to find Tom's which was only about 5 miles from my house. I called and explained what was happening and we agreed on the problem without Tom having to come out to do a diagnosis. I provided Lynn his wife with the Model # and all the pertinent information. Tom called back later to let me know the approximate cost would be $120-130 for the part and installation. I was prepared for a lot more and expected if that if it were, I would just buy a new TV. The part arrived in less than a week and we scheduled a call a few days later. He arrived on time. We took the TV off the wall and laid it down on the cloth he brought to prevent any damages and keep area clean. He removed the back of the TV and replaced the sensor and gave me the old part. Reassembled the TV and re-hung on the wall mount and reconnected everything. Tested the TV and it worked fine. I thought the price including installation was very reasonable. Tom was professional, on time, and fixed quickly in one visit. He had mentioned on the phone that he also installs HD antennas in the event I decide to eliminate cable. A recent job he did including a booster (?) cost around $600. We had talked about him evaluating my set-up and giving me a quote when he came to install the sensor. I'd been considering eliminating cable, but he fixed my TV so quickly while we chatted, totally forgot to ask for the quote. Will call him back to see about that. Would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Tom replaced the remote sensor in my 46" Samsung LCD TV.
