MoreVent Heating Cooling Plumbing

Needed an HVAC component replaced and I was able to obtain a new OEM unit from a manufacturer-certified distributor with the full warranty, as I lost my job due to COVID months ago. Asked this provider what would be the cost to install this component, and I was told they will not even consider this work if they cannot obtain and charge for the part, even though the component is OEM, and that I would be responsible for any warranty claims that may be needed. MoreVent not only lost an opportunity to make a profit on this project, they lost an opportunity to assist an Angie's List member in need who would become a regular customer if they were helpful, and who would refer others to do the same.

I hesitated to write this because I am sure the company is fine and I usually don't do a bad review, this actually my first ever. However only because I became frustrated during the end of the sales call plus I made it clear we needed a "budget" when I made the appointment but may consider replacement based on a seasonal special they were running if the price was right. Well after over two hours of the sales person doing the survey and presentation, he asked if I had any questions and if I liked what was offered. I said yes and will see if we might do the replacement or wait till next year, our current system is working but 14 years old. Long story short after me trying to be nice about me saying this is a major investment of some $13,000 for the "special" being offered. I needed to think about it, thinking this was somewhat a high replacement cost for a good system not a better or best and that price including a free heat system as part of the off season special offer. The sales rep couldn't explain the excessive labor cost, saying that portion of the cost is driven by upper management. Anyway, I felt highly pressured to agree to new system before he left and decided not to for the reasons mentioned. I was never left any brochures, product information or was offered a proposal which I thought strange. I'm sure the rep was just doing his job but I would say be careful of specials being offered if someone can't be specific about the cost breakdown of a new HVAC system.

We needed the full AC replaced in our house (outside unit and inside blower unit). Was referred to MoreVent by a family member. While a bit more expensive than the two other quotes we received, we feel you truly get what you pay for with MoreVent and chose them. From the initial sales call through the scheduling, installation, and final walk-through (with MoreVent and local inspectors) MoreVent provided grade-A customer service and I would highly recommend them and will use them for all of our HVAC needs. The sales team (two guys) spent nearly two hours at the house - first sat to discuss what it is we were looking to do, then taking measurements, and then sitting back down to go through details about the quote they just wrote up. They answered every single question thoroughly and professionally. The quotes (3 different levels/prices:approx. $7,200; $8,600; $9,800) provided right then and there were what they'd charge, nothing more. They even responded very thoroughly to questions I'd emailed them prior to selecting them as the company for the install. The scheduling team had a cancellation and so MoreVent was able to come out much faster to do the job (which was great since the June temps were increasing). The installation team was prompt and also incredibly professional and courteous. They covered the floors where they'd be walking so as to not damage anything, informed us along the way of progress and completed the job in one day. Lastly, the owner himself came out on the day of the inspection. Like everyone else we interacted with at MoreVent he was friendly, courteous and professional. It's been one-and-a-half months since the install and while we paid a bit more than we would have with another company, we feel that we received the most for our money with MoreVent. And not once have we regretted paying for what we received. Their employees are all professional, knowledgeable, and work extremely hard to deliver great customer service and satisfaction; we highly recommend them. You truly get what you pay for when you choose MoreVent and we will use them for all of our HVAC needs.

It was pricey. It was a little, but great quality. There were two guys, and it took them about seven and a half hours to do the work.

Always professional and friendly. Service contract prices seem a bit high, especially after paying for 10 years, but they offer comprehensive coverage depending on plan chosen and at present offer a decent discount toward a new system for long time customers.

Reached out online and got response within an hour. Scheduled for arrival in less that 24 hours. Tech on time and very professional. He evaluated system and quickly found problem (coolant leak). He recharged the system, repaired the leak and checked the rest of the system to assure no other leaks. House was back in order and cool in no time.

They did a great job. Had a few issues in the beginning, but they came back right away and adjusted the system. It works great now. Haven't gotten the first electric bill yet, so keeping our fingers crossed it's much lower.
