As has been the case in the past when I have used contractors highly recommended on Angie's list, this experience was truly outstanding.
The work was done on time and on budget. The installer, Tim,  was a consummate professional. Tom Miller, who runs the company was also a pleasure to work with.
I should also note that Tom recommended Ralph Hayden to replace the trim around the doors. He also did an absolutely outstanding job.
It is really a pleasure to work with people who take such obvious pride in what they do.

I forgot to ask them to fix the remote but they did fix the garage door in about 5 min.  Great service, very professional and very accomodating

Installations when well. Guys were respectful and professional.

Promptly scheduled and arrived right in middle of service window. worked quickly and effectively at half the cost quoted by another service by doing what was actually needed not what they thought they could persuade us to do. Very courteous. Service person had 13 years experience. Actual charge matched expected cost.

Replaced cables and lubricated hinges and rollers.

They installed 2 new garage doors and one remote control door opener.  They helped us select the door we wanted when we went to their showroom.  The doors were installed as soon as they came in.  Their staff did an excellent job installing the doors and opener especially since we had so much  clutter in our garage.  We would recommend them to anyone.

I called for a quote on approximately 11/25-11/26/13. I spoke with a very nice woman who went over what work and parts I needed.  She agreed to email me a price quote and detailed list of work to be completed.  I never received an email. I made sure it didn't go to junk mail.  I then called after several days and left a voicemail re-stating my email address and phone number.  No response to that either.  On December 2nd I sent a detailed email to the email address on the company website again requesting a quote.  It's now December 10th and I have not gotten a response.  I really needed the work done so it's a big dissapointment.  The only positive was my initial conversation with the woman who was very friendly and helpful.  I had high hopes.

Tom came to the house with the catalog and once we had chose the design we wanted, it took about a week.  We scheduled the day of installation at the time we ordered and were pleased when they came exactly as Tom had said they would. We liked the fact that Tom had made suggestions about the doors and lead us to those that were energy efficient and would help us save money on our heating. The installation took only one day and was so quiet I hardly knew the installer was at the house. Everything was cleaned up before he left and we were thrilled at how well the doors looked with our style house. We would strongly recommend this business to anyone in the area.

Very good service. Came out the day after I called. Problem was a simple fix. Saved money because of their deal with Angies List first time customers.

They did an excellent job.  Arrived on time, did exactly what they were supposed to do, and the final cost was as quoted. Would use them again.

I had been very concerned about getting this job done.  Several years ago an "emergency repair" of the door mechanism by another vendor had turned into a very high priced episode - leaving me very gun-shy of anything to do with garage doors!  But it had to be done.
Howell Door Company's visit to estimate for the job was professional and much to my delight there were no attempts made to add "extras".  Their estimate was reasonable and I hired them to do the job.
On installation date they were on time and the work went well.  I am delighted with the result.  I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Answered the phone on the first ring, made an appointment right away for the next day. Service was exceptional, price was great. Took credit which was very convenient. Will definitely use again.

This review is long overdue. Working with Howell Door was a great experience. Tom showed up when expected, brought samples along with him and took the time to explain the differences in the garage door types.
I purchased the CHI insulated steel doors and as promised, my garage was significantly warmer in the winter months and cooler in the summer. The Lift Master belt driven openers that were installed are very quiet too. Good company with great people.
I would definitely recommend to my friends.

A close lightning strike destroyed my garage door opener.
I checked Angie's List for nearby replacement options and chose Howell Door.  The office and their subcontractor were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and cheerful. 
When I began to write this review, I noticed Howell Door's coupon; when I called back, they were willing to honor it even after the service was completed.
They are so prompt they arrived early, so be ready!

Pleasant, professional, prompt, reasonably priced.

Their office called immediately after my email inquiry to set up appointment.  Tom showed up exactly when they said he would and provided a great price.  I priced 4 companies and they were the least expensive.  They ordered the doors and called to set up installation as soon as they arrived.  The installer came exactly when they said he would and installed the doors/opener perfectly.  Everyone from the organization was helpful and professional.

Working with this company was terrific.  The owner showed up, diagnosed the problem with each door in about 5 minutes, had all the parts to make repairs, and gave me instructions on maintenance.  A real professional.

Punctual, courteous and informative on his product offerings.   Haven't used them yet but likely will.  Felt comfortable in asking questions and he was patient in answering everything I wanted to know.    Great representative for his family owned business.  I'll be calling.

Keith showed up exactly on time and was extremely polite. As a female, I get nervous with repairmen when i am home alone but Keith is just a normal, pleasant, professional guy. Saw the problem immediately, fixed the spring, and was done in 20 minutes, and took my Angie's List coupon. Very satisfied. Would use again.

Fixed one but not the second. Electrician fixed in 5 minutes.

The service man arrived and quickly determined & fixed the cause of the garage door malfunction.  In addition, he noticed a few loose and missing nuts on the door attachments, tightening them.  This extra check made the door operate much more smoothly.
