It was obvious that Tim was an expert and confident of the issue causing the leak. The project was completed efficiently - problem solved. He also suggested practical tips to help dry the floor where the leak had been. The added advice showed that he cares about his client and their home.

Overall it went well. Tim arrived 20 minutes early for our appointment. He was done in about an hour and a half. He disconnected the old faucet neatly, allowing me to pursue getting it repaired in case I need a spare in the future (last plumber destroyed my old faucet when he removed it). At one point, he needed a second set of hands to complete the installation. After looking at the owner's manual, I suspect that wouldn't have been necessary had he read the installation instructions first. The new faucet is working well and I'm happy that the work is done. Cost was $165 - $25 Angie's list coupon.

Tim showed up and determined after careful examination that the leak was caused by a faulty roof seal which had recently been repaired. Very courteous and knowledgeable.

Excellent. Tim replaced the heating elements and thermostat and saved me the cost of a new HWH.

They corrected the draining issues and did a through analysis of why the water wasn't running correctly in the sink. It turned out that the spout was defective and they helped me get a new replacement. (Talked to the company rep on the phone). Also checked on an issue with the washer. Explained how I could prevent the draining issues from occurring in the future. Very knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. Will have them install the spout when it gets delivered.

Very easy to work with and very response. We had a few different problems we were experiencing (leak in kitchen, squealing in pipes) and ended up having to do some troubleshooting to figure out what needed to be fixed and replaced. Tim was great to work with, and everyone who came to our house each appointment: Chris, Mike & Al were all professional and friendly. We are satisfied with the work they performed, and will definitely contact them for future plumbing needs.

I have nothing but good things to say about Golden Rule. I had two other quotes from plumbers who wanted to replace my entire water supply line, but Tim offered to repair it for me for one third the price. I had a leak detection company come to identify the leak before repair and they were more than 10 feet off (they said it was in the lawn, when really it was under the driveway). Tim and Bob dug 5.5ft deep where the location was marked and when the line wasn't found, Bob came back to the house to meet with another technician from the leak detection company to pinpoint the leak the right way (using a scope camera). They then filled in the hole they had dug and reseeded the grass for me. The next morning, they came back and cut a section of driveway out, fixed the leak, and then waited while the water ran to check that they got it. Despite the fact that they had to come two days in a row and dig an unnecessary hole, Tim still kept to the original estimate. He also replaced my laundry washer line for free after he identified it was about to burst.

Expectations surpassed.

I was very well pleased with the company. Tim was very prompt in coming out to the house evaluating the project and very responsive with an estimate. Chris the technician did an excellent job. He was very courteous and communicated well reviewing all the steps with me.

I was not at all impressed with this company. First, the two plumbers were very unprofessional. Upon entering my home they complained about the job conditions and spent a considerable amount of time talking inappropriately to one another. The replacement of our powder room sink apparently required the removal of the pedestal which ripped off a good section of the wall requiring patch and repaint. They did not inform me that this could happen at the beginning and never mentioned ANYTHING about it until the end when I went to look at their work and complained that it looked awful (see attached photo) They guy offered to caulk and then realized he didn't have any with him. As for the exterior problem, they had to get to the plumbing line through an access panel in the basement. The guy simply stated the access panel wasn't big enough and that we would have to cut a bigger opening. Thinking I didn't have a choice I agreed but in speaking to others, the line could have been accessed through the access panel and now there is a larger section of our ceiling removed. Lastly, I made the mistake of not testing all of the faucets before they left and one of them had the hot/cold reversed. I've called the company to have this corrected and did not receive a call back. I would not recommend using this company and am sorry I did.

His experience was important in assessing that it was fine to remove certain fixture times I had been reluctant to remove for fear of making it worse. He charged me the minimal service call fee and was a pleasant man.

Bob provided a not-to-exceed quote for installing a filter system and install kit I purchased online. Dave performed the installation. The kit did not include pipe and fittings required for the install, so Dave had to acquire materials during install. He purchased better quality valves than provided in the kit and clearly explained the benefit of the new valves. The job took most of the morning. I found Dave extremely capable and a super nice guy. I was especially pleased Dave purchased additional pipe, fittings and valves within the original not-to-exceed quote. As he left for the supply store, I braced myself for a time and materials upcharge, but it never came. This was my first experience with Golden Rule, but won't be my last.
