I was very satisfied with them. It wasn’t a big deal to fix the dryer. He didn’t even know that he had to do very much at all, but I was glad that I had him come out to do that.

Dennis Beckson arrived with the correct heating element. Dennis Beckson installed it quickly. The total price accurately matched his estimate. I would use his services again.

It took two service calls and cost a little more than I was expecting, but, on the whole, he was prompt, responsive and seemed to know what he was doing. I'd call him again.

I was worried that some portions of my 8 year old refrigerator felt very hot to the touch, and had searched on the internet for more info. I had already tried vacuuming the coils (watched on YouTube "how to") with the appliance unplugged which was noted as one possible cause, but the heat still continued. Another 'fix' on the internet was noted that the internal fan perhaps had died. Although a relative told me some refrigs tend to feel hot, i trusted my instinct that I should pay a professional to take a look...at a minimum i figured if there was nothing wrong, i could atleast get advice on whether to keep the fridge or not... with all the rebates PECO is currently giving. (I was tempted to remove the bottom backing myself and take a look, but decided against it, as they weren't normal screws that could be removed using a screwdriver.) The voicemail message I had left, was answered in the same day (a few hours later) on a friday, requesting my make of fridge, and we scheduled for monday a.m. Upon his arrival, I explained I had tried cleaning the coils, and he removed the back bottom panel of the fridge and noted that the fan was not working, and that it was hot back there. (He assured me that this 'shouldn't' ever cause a fire, the worst that usually happens is the fridge cannot maintain the internal temperatures, but mine was running O.K. likely b/c i have AC on) He contacted his parts place, and luckily they did have the part in stock. He drove out to get the part (about 20 mins each way) immediately to finish off the job, and warned me the part was reasonably expensive (always my luck) like $100 (he said in other models the part can be cheaper like $40), but still cheaper than a new fridge. He said it was not necessary to replace the fridge so getting the new part made sense to me. He completed the repair and also noted the inside mechanism of the fridge seemed pretty clean, since I had been trying to clean out dust. He didn't mind my questions... like "since the fan was out for who knows how long... was the appliance likely using more electricity?" (The answer being yes, because it was working harder) Lastly when i was cleaning out the coils prior to his visit, i noted a large drip pan inside the underneath of the fridge that looked pretty gross... but i could not get it out...and I mentioned that. He removed it so i could clean it out, and then re-inserted it.

Punctual, professional, efficient, and prepared. I will use him again for my other large appliances. I had a home warranty and had a service call on a different appliance but did not feel as confident with the effort made (and in fact had to have a family member figure out the problem.) I wish I had just called Beckson that time!

Mr. Beckson was very flexible and changed his schedule cheerfully, when our schedule changed unexpectedly. I appreciated that!

Called and left a message about service for my dryer. This is a one man operation and Dennis called back within a hour and scheduled an appointment to repair. He arrived during the scheduled time and promptly diagnosed the problem. Parts needed to be ordered so he had to come back a couple days later to finish the repair. Again, he showed up during the scheduled time and finished the job. He was careful to make sure the dryer was operating within specs. He also cleaned out all accumulated dust from the blower. Only thing is he didn't give an estimate of the repair cost but I never asked, and it was in the ballpark of what I would expect. I would definitely call him again if I had another repair job.

I like him a lot, and find him to be very nice and knowledgeable. He is low-key, and seems to be very honest. I have been happy with him so far.

No problems. Not a big issue, but one that needed to be fixed.

We called on Saturday expected a return call on Monday. By Monday night, we did not have an answer, and tried again. On Tuesday, we got a call, and scheduled a visit for Friday. He was right on time, diagnosed the problem, replaced the pump for a price that we thought fair. His advice on when to replace and when to repair appeared objective (as opposed to self serving). Except for the delay getting the first call back, everything about our experience was positive.

My washer started making a horrendous noise during the spin cycle on a Thursday night. I found Dennis Beckson (Beckson's Appliance Repair) on Angie's List and gave them a call. He called back within 1/2 hour, even though it was past normal business hours. He was unable to fit me in on Friday, but he arrived promptly at the stated time on Monday morning, diagnosed the problem with the washing machine, and let me know that he could fix it that week if I decided to go ahead with the repair. (It was a large repair, and it's an old washer, so my husband and I considered just replacing it.) We decided to repair it, and Mr. Beckson came out 2 days later, again arriving right on time, and fixed the machine within a couple hours. He was very knowledgeable about our machine and gave us good information about recent product lines that we considered purchasing. He was extremely pleasant and professional.

First of all, Dennis arrived early which was a pleasant surprise. He knew exactly what the problem was in a matter of minutes and told me the approximate cost of the repair. He was done within 30 minutes. Very polite and friendly. Checked the washer to verify that it was working before he left. Very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

We called him Sunday evening and he came out Monday morning. He listened to the loud clicking noise, then opened the panel, unscrewed the inner panel-and there was the nest and mouse. He tossed it in the trash, closed things back up, and the dryer ran quietly.

Dennis Beckson was available to come look at my refrigerator within a day of my call. He arrived promptly as scheduled and diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately the seal was broken on the compressor system. He said that it was not cost-effective to repair and recommended I purchase a new unit instead. He also gave me some advice on features and brands to look for or stay away from while shopping. He was professional and capable. I will definitely use him again.

Our dryer was continuously making a clicking sound when it was running. The company we had bought it from had gone out of business so I used the list to find a highly rated appliance repair company in my area. I read a very good report about Beckson and decided to give them a call. I left a message asking for someone to call me and received a callback in about 1 hour. The person I spoke to was very pleasant and professional. I was able to schedule a service call the next day! The repair man (who is the owner) arrived on time and was also very pleasant and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem - a penny had some - how gotten into one of the fins inside the dryer and was sliding around as the dryer turned - and fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and will would use them again in a heartbeat.

When I called the company, they made an appointment right away. Then he came out first thing the next morning. Talk about prompt! He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, and was very pleasant. I will definitely call him again.

Because our refrigerator was getting warmer and warmer by the hour, I was really pleased when Dennis called back right away and was able to come within a couple of hours. He arrived just when he said he would and diagnosed the problem within minutes. I didn't have to wait for the part and it seemed like he kept a good supply of parts on hand. He was great explaining what the problem was and showed me exactly what he was going to replace. He also diagnosed a problem I was having with the icemaker dispenser and gave me an estimate for that repair that I scheduled for later. Things were up and running in no time at all! Really nice guy.
