Larry Lint Flooring

Well I tried to give Larry Lint time to fix this but after many calls and promises to come and take a look nothing has been resolved. This floor was installed about 5 years ago but the grout started to deteriorate at about 1 year and just keeps getting worse. I can actually chip away the grout with my keys. They obviously don't stand behind their work. Buyer beware.

It's a very big organization. One man comes out to measure, and price. They they send the crew out to do the floor. It was really fast and they're very professional.

Great help at the store when looking for tile. Gentleman very professional when he came to measure. Everyone was helpful and prompt. Scheduling the install was fine. Guy came to install and was on time, but his other installer was not. He bad mouthed him and he bad mouthed the guy that measured also. I found out the hard way that he was the true piece of work. Explained what I needed to be done to him. It even was written on the paper work to see me before install. Told him exactly what I wanted, which was to have the tile laid long ways instead of side ways. Showed him with arm motions etc. and was very clear. No problem ma'am was his constant response. We will take care of you. The helper showed up (not long after the first guy.) They started. I kept out of the way because my hallway and the bath are very small. There were two guys up there already. I looked upstairs once only to see the one guy laying in my hall with his feet coming down my steps. The other guy did all the work. They yelled at each other and I could hear them. I asked the one guy how it was going and he said, very rudely, go and look. I said that I had not wanted to bother them, and he replied very rudely again, you don't bother me, I don't care. I went upstairs and the tile had been put in sideways. I told the guy that it was not right and he said, oh, I must have misunderstood you. Seriously! Did I have to draw them a picture? Is was not rocket science! I asked for left over tile and they told me that there was none. I saw them carrying it to the truck. I made him look and he said well they are cut. They were 3 pieces of about 12 x 12. I paid for them and I wanted them. I took them. The only full piece that was left he wrote on in black marker, wet tile stay off. Seriously, again! They told me that already, or could they not have written on cardboard? They left and I had to call at least 3 times with no satisfaction. I had let them go, because what else was I going to do? Can you imagine the mess and destruction they would have done re-doing it if it could not be done right to begin with? I had taken a day off work too. Were they going to pay me a days wages? I don't think so. I spoke to the foreman who would not give me a penny credit for the error. He said Larry would want to tear the floor up, but he would speak to him and call me back. I was not asking for hundreds back. They never called me back! The next day the guy came to grout. He was on time. They broke my trim on my vanity and got mastic or grout on my vanity and trim around the door, they did a horrible job around the toilet hole and when the toilet was put back a gap shows around it. They had previously carpeted my living room, dining, hallway and steps, and my family room. Very good for the most part with those. Recommended them to two other people for kitchen flooring and, for the most part, those went well. In the end, I just could not believe that they wanted to order more tile, spend the money and use man time to tear up the floor and re-do it rather than give me a little money off!! I will not recommend or use them again!

I have always used Larry Lint in the past, but I am done with them now. They installed carpeting in the whole house and vinyl in the kitchen. After doing the job, I came to inspect and found a huge mess. They left wood chips and carpet scraps all over the floor leaving me to clean up the mess. There were also snags in the brand new carpet. I did call to complain and they sent someone to vacuum and fix the snags, but why wasn't that done in the first place? I mean I spent a lot of money and I was supposed to clean up after the workers? I also find that in the showroom it can be hard to get waited on. I will find another flooring installer for my rental properties in the future.

The flooring looked great when it was first installed but after 6 months, it began to "cup" (warp). We contacted Larry Lint and were told it was the humidity making this occur. We're not sure how valid this was since the flooring was glued down but we accepted it. About 6 months after that, the finish on the floor started to bubble and peel. We contacted Larry Lint again and were told that there was no warranty on the floor. 2.5 years later, the hardwood slats have shrunk to the point that the tongue and grooves are no longer interlocked and the flooring can easily be lifted out. The finish had gotten worse. We contacted Larry again. After several visits to look at the floor (most of the time was spent trying to prove we were negligent and had basically poured water all over the floor, the dishwasher was causing it, the refrigerator was causing it, the Pomeranian caused it, the roof that was replaced due to hail damage was causing it but there was no real explanation from the foreman Jim) we finally told them quite simply that the floor had to be removed. There are 1/4 gaps between the slats, boards are loose, the floor is wobbly and the finish is peeling off all over. The only thing Larry offered to do was simply sell us another $1,200 worth of ceramic to replace the $1,900, 2.5 year old hardwood, stating that it was all our fault that this had occurred. When we bought the original hardwood, we were told it was commercial grade and would last a lifetime. Now we're being told that a drop of water can completely destroy this flooring. We have purchased every bit of flooring in our house from Larry in the past but we will never set foot in their shop again. They apparently do not want to stand behind their products and look for every way possible to blame the customer for substandard products/installation. Be aware that it was made quite clear by Larry Lint Flooring that there is absolutely NO guarantee on any hardwood flooring they sell so no matter what happens to it (defective material, bad installation, etc), it's your fault.

I like having a consultant that walked us through the process. They know their product.

The price was outstanding as was the work. Everything is installed perfectly and my Husband and I were very happy with them.

I called Larry Lint bc I heard good things about their prices. I asked an associate if they carried any single-plank, dark-colored laminates for $1.75 / sq ft or less. Whomever I spoke to assured me they had "tons" and to just come check it out. I even reiterated I was looking for options under $1.75 / sq ft. because I was coming all the way from Moon and didn't want to waste a trip out there. He assured me there were plenty of options. So I took a day off from work to go out to Irwin & look, but when I got there, they had nothing even remotely close to $1.75 / sq ft. I know without a doubt I was clear about my price point and the employee either was too busy to check, not paying enough attention or just lied to get me in the store. The woman who tried to help me in the store seemed to suggest it was my own misunderstanding, adding insult to injury. I flip houses so I buy a LOT of flooring and not always this cheap but I will never do business with this place because of this.

quality product instaled by very professional people. would highly recommend them for both wood and carpet, which i had installed by them earlier in 2014

Everything went very well. It was just as I expected. We called them to double check something, and he came back out to assure the work. They were prompt and polite.

They were ok. We never had any problems with them. The floor has been done for a long time. Its fine.

Installers were on time, made suggestions on the layout- floors look great!

They were great at Larry Lint Flooring. They let me take samples of the carpet and tile that I was considering home so I could look at it against my fixtures. When they came to do the carpet estimate they let me keep the tile samples even though I wasn't sure if I was going to get tile through them or not (I ended up deciding to get a cheaper tile from Home Depot because the better tile wasn't in my budget). When they came to install the carpet they were very professional. They took the extra time to build the carpet up so it would match the height of my kitchen tile which was about .75 inches higher then normal tile.That kind of service really makes a difference. The only complaint is that you can see a little bit of the seam in my dining room, but it isn't pulling up so I am not too concerned about it.

They were right on time and removed the old carpeting and installed the new and had it all done in 6 hours. They did an excellent job and would recommend to any one looking for new carpeting.

Overall, everything went well and we are pleased with the jobs. There was some miscommunication regarding tiling the foyer and the fact that we had to trim the front door, so I would defininitely make sure that all your doors will fit and who is responsible for trimming if necessary. There was a problem with the tile where the foyer meets the family room, it was crooked and not done nicely, but they came back quickly and repaired it. The other jobs were fine. I questioned the grouting in the bath and shower wall, and again, they sent someone quickly to touch up the grout, it seemed like where the tile met the tub that there was not enough grout. The man who came to measure was excellent and certainly knew the business. The office personnel handling the scheduling, etc., was excellent. She was very pleasant and accommodated a change in schedule for me. We have recommended them to others and would definitely use them again.

Everything went fine. They showed up on time, they did great work and they were very courteous.

Overall the job from start to finish was excellent. The company performed the job as described in a timely manner and all the employees from the salesperson, estimator, and installers were pleasant and professional.

They were exceptional in their work and their professionalism. They were very helpful, the workers were all very courteous and were experts at what they were doing. They were also very quick because our second floor has about six rooms and it was done in three days. We are thinking about calling them in the next few months for some more work.

Larry Lint Flooring has done carpeting in my house three or four times and I'm very satisfied with that work. He is excellent. He is very clean. We didn't go with this company which was a mistake.

I thought they did a very nice job and spent a lot of time on my flooring. They took a full day to install it.

Everything went really well. I really like their service and I have had them out a few times.

I am a new member of Angies list and now able to review the job done when I purchased a newly constructed home. I should have known when they put the wrong tile/ grout in two rooms. I worked with them and accepted the wrong tile and they changed the grout by painting. I then had several areas where the tile cracked. They did come out and replace and repair what was needed. I continued to have cracking tile in the masterbath, so many tiles cracked that I wanted the entire floor replaced. After several calls and discussions with Larry Lint it was agreed to replace only the cracked tiles. This job looked pathetic, because by this time they didn't match lot numbers and had distinctly different tile throughout the room. Again, several calls and getting builder involved the agreement was to replact the entire floor. When the workers arrived they placed a new floor ON TOP of the old, and shaved down the door. The tile is presently intact but the grout is cracking in the area of original cracked tiles. I was treated so poorly by the owner of this local company, after I accepted their errors and tried to work professionally with them that I would NEVER use them again as well as discourage anyone from using them. Their motto is "we lay only the best" my experience is "they will screw anyone".

They do very good work. He has the best price compared to others we have used.
