The quote provided ($4960) was almost 3 times the amount estimated by other providers.  I even called back to see if they had made a mistake or had included the price of the tub and fixtures, but they hadn't.  I didn't receive the quote until 9 days after their visit, which was a week after I called them, so by then I had accepted another bid.  I just laughed with disbelief.  I guess they really didn't want the job.

Bruno was here a couple hours after we called. Two hours later drain was clog free. We had them add the root cleaner to drains also. Great job. We had visions of digging up entire back yard and $1000's of dollars to repair it. Relieved it was that easy.

GREAT! After getting details on the problem (water backing up in the basement during laundry) the plumber immediately went to the clean out in the back yard and went to work. He snaked the line to the main line and was able to determine it was tree roots causing the problem. Put Root Away in the line and it was on to more laundry! This was a Sunday call and we knew it would be more expensive but it could have been A LOT worse if they had not come that day. Worth the price!

This was the 2nd back up with in 3 months and we called Bruno again. They attempted to clear the line several times, but were unsuccessful.  They tried to camera the line but could not get it past a certain point. They were to return with a hydro jet and camera/record with locator, but were not able to return within a day. Their equipment was not available at that time. We needed to have the drain open and ended up calling another company.

On a SUNDAY, and during a STEELER game, our sewer line had a blockage.
We called and David was able to come that afternoon.
David was very professional (he serviced us previously at another location).
He arrived when he said he would.
He was able to open our drain in a timely manner.
The site was throughly cleaned following service by David.

We live in Morgantown and have not had great luck with contractors.  We found Bruno Plumbing and Heating on Angie's List.  They're out of Washington PA, so it's quite a drive for them to get to us.  I first contacted them on a weekend and was able to speaking to a live answering service.  I also called first thing Monday and when they answered, the customer service representative already knew about my problem and was getting ready to call me and schedule an appointment.  They were able to get us scheduled very quickly.  The morning of the appointment the plumber called me while he was on his way and gave me an estimated time of arrival.  I found him to be highly professional and seemed to be doing a very thorough job.
My only complaint would be on the pricing approach. The services they performed, opening the ceiling and inspecting the drain, and replacing the drain and piping, seemed fairly priced.  But, on top of those was a standard $99 service charge.  Maybe it was because they were coming so far, but it did seem excessive since I was paying ~$590 for the actual services rendered.
That said, I would definitely use them again since they were responsive, reliable, and professional.

The repair process was smooth and pleasant, the gentleman Dave was very professional, courteous and even friendly to my children.  The cost of the work i needed done was explained to me prior to my agreeing to the service.  he did all the work he proposed quickly and efficiently.  He gave me directions needed if my disposal was to jam in the near future, gave me advice on how to run itmost efficiently and left me with a very positive feeling about the whole experience. i will absolutely call Bruno in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a professional trustworthy company.

I don't usually hire other people to do water plumbing work.  But this was year-end time at work and I was swamped.  We had a problem in our second bathroom that necessitated use of this tub.  Repair was going to be a very tight fit to try and repair myself (tough access to drain in wall).  We've used Bruno in the past and have been nothing but happy with their service.  Bruno's serviceman arrived same day as our call, was extremely professional, quickly assessed situation and gave us an up-front quote right out of their service manual.  He had the fix completed in about 2 hours, pressure tested everything, and even provided one of their coupons to use (we keep throwing ours away as they come in the mail b/c "we'll never need plumbing services" - opps).  Overall a great experience.  My only negative comment would be to say that I thought the price was a little high, but certainly not outside the realm of what I was willing to pay.  I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for top notch plumbing or heating services.

He did a good job.  He was on time and worked very quickly.  I thought that the price was a bit high, but then, I have not had much experience with plumbing for a while now and I think that sometimes you do have to pay a little more for better service.

Tony from Bruno Plumbing came the afternoon of Thanksgiving Eve and reworked the way the washing machine was plumbed.  He took Thanksgiving off but came back the morning of Black Friday and re-did the pipes under the kitchen sink.  He put a clean-out in the stack from the kitchen and jetted the line clean.  Tony was the consummate plumber.  Knowledgeable...Careful...Thorough...Friendly...Polite...Took Pride in His Work.  The next time I need a plumber, I'm asking for Tony at Bruno Plumbing.

"There is a service fee to get my technician to your door in a fully stocked truck ready to do the work. All of our technicians carry the Technician Seal of Safety Identification card assuring you that they have passed a criminal background check and are randomly drug & alcohol screened. Upon arrival the technician will look at the work needed and give upfront pricing before any work is done. There are no hidden fees or surprises. The price remains the same whether the technician is at your home of one hour or for three hours, unless the scope of work changes. We install, service, repair and replace plumbing & heating systems in strict accordance with the highest industry standards using the highest quality materials. Our technicians are neat, clean and respect your home. They will even wear shoe covers to protect your floor and clean up after themselves when the job is complete."

Tried to replace the hardware myself and it didn't go well. I had to turn my water off for the night. I called Bruno plumbing who said there would be an extra charge to come out after hours. I told them I would wait until the morning. The first guy said he would be there around 8:30. I think there was a mix-up because another person called me in the morning to say they would be there between 9 and 11. It really didn't matter. I was shocked at the price, but I didn't know what the price was to replace shower hardware to begin with.  I was desperate, so I went ahead with the replacement. The two men were very nice and professional. I was very pleased with my new Kohler shower hardware. It looks much better, and I do feel that their work was quality. I do feel that I paid too much, but as I said I didn't really have a chance to get estimates and I didn't have a clue as to the work that would be required to put a new one in.

Tony came out to check what the situation was. I asked if he had a fawccett similar to the one I had. He did not, but said he would go to American Standard and see what they had. He called back, he had found one  - the price seemed high but I agreed to it. The next day before he was to to arrive, he called and said he had found a very good one at Lowes for $130 less. I was impressed. He arrived with Lowes fawcatt 20 min. later, He was very porfessional in his work. Left the area clean. The fawcett is far superior to the one I had.

I did not use them. They were high on their quote. The quote was for $2000, and it was basically for the labor. They were great people. They were really nice, courteous and showed up whenever they were supposed to. They knew everything that they said they were going to do with the quote. It was not the price range that I was looking for. I would use them in the future.

The job went well. The company had done some door to door work in my neighborhood so I had coupons, and they had good reviews so I decided to use them. The guy that did the service was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. I didn?t appreciate that they tried to sell me a service where I become a member of Bruno Plumbing. I want to have some bathroom remodeling done and he told me that the program would give me a discount on that work, but the paperwork said that it would not be covered. I did not appreciate that he was trying to oversell a product and I would have been really pissed off if I hadn?t read all of the paperwork. The guy recommended that we stop the leak rather than replace the unit even though that means it will leak again in the future. I felt like they were more into making money than helping homeowners. Based on that, I wouldn?t recommend them. Completely replacing the sump pump was really expensive.
Response from Bruno Plumbing & Heating

"The client stated the job went well. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable, I'm confused about the overall "D" rating. The membership the client referred to is our VIP - Plumbing Club. This is an exclusive club membership that is not offered to everyone. A homeowner who takes pride in their home and keeps up on all repairs may be offered this membership by our technician. The club saves the homeowner money over the life of the membership. As a club member, she would have already saved $52.00 on her sump pump replacement. The membership gives the client a free comprehensive inspection of their plumbing system, a water heater flush, a water pressure test, a Bio Smart treatment, up to 25% off all necessary repairs and front of the line service when they call. Offering a client all these benefits is not overselling a client. They are receiving benefits in excess of the cost of the membership. Our paperwork does not specifically reference bath remodeling. They always receive a discounted price on all plumbing work as a member. We take pride in giving our clients options. A repair is just an option. Depending on the situation, a repair can add time to the life of the equipment until a complete replacement is in the client's budget. Bruno Plumbing & Heating, Inc. offers the best warranty in southwestern Pennsylvania. With the installation of here new sump pump, she has a two year pump and labor warranty. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for."

They initially said they would be able to fix it the day they came to do the estimate but then they had to go and actually fix people that didn't have heat, which I appreciated. When they came back the guy that was here was very, very nice and was really bothered by what was happening with our furnace. He actually cancelled his other appointment to stay and fix our furnace. I would absolutely use them again.

The technician was friendly and professional. The work was good. We have called them several times now, most recently to repair a bathroom drain (which both leaked *and* was slow draining). My only concern is that I think their prices are a bit too high for this area, but that is just my opinion. Also, they charge a $39 service call for a visit even if they can't do the work; they will, however, credit that amount on a subsequent visit for other work if you ask them.

I called them to install drains in new sinks and hook up a new garbage disposal. When I make the appointment, they were very courteous and said that my job would be the first one in the morning and that they would be there by 8:30 am. At 9:30 am, I called them and they said that they were still coming but would be there closer to 10:00 am. At 11:00 am, I finally received a call from the plumber saying that he was loaded up and would be leaving now. He showed up at 11:20. Then when he arrived, he suggested that I not use the drain baskets that came with the sink and encouraged me to use ones he brought instead. But he would only give me the price for the part AND the installation - he refused to tell me how much the new part cost. When I insisted on knowing how much his part was, he got frustrated and said he didn't want to do the job and left.
Response from Bruno Plumbing & Heating

"Our normal practice for booking a service call is to give a two hour window because sometimes things come up and you can not control how long you are at a home. The appointment was set up between 8am and 10am. We were running a little behind that morning. The client called and we explained the suitation and let him know approximately when to expect the technician's call. He did not indicate there was a problem with being late for the appointment. The technician call him as soon as he could. When the client answerered, our technician explained again what he should expect during our visit. The client agreed to have our technician over and again did not mention there was a problem with being late. Upon arrival, our technician waited several minutes outside before the client answered the door, The client showed our technician the way to the kitchen since the work was being done there. When the technician entered the kitchen, he noticed a gun lying on the counter top. Our technician was surprised to the see the gun lying there but began evaulating the work that needed to be done. Our technician was asking questions and talking with the client to determine the amount of work that needed to be done. After determing the work that was needed, our technician gave the client upfront pricing. The client accused our technician of quoting him a different price during an earlier conversation. The client's wife interjected and said the technician gave the same price as earlier and that her husband was mistaken. The client did not like the prices our technicians gave him and he refused to have us do the work. In the meantime, the client instructed his wife go outside and move her vehicle from its original parking place to behind our company truck. The client's other vehicle was along one side of our truck. In other words, he blocked our truck in his driveway. He told the technician that we wasted four hours of his time and he was going to waste four hours of our time. The client told our technician he would see him at 4pm. At this point our technician just wanted to leave the client's home. The technician did not ask the client for the service fee which he previously agreed to pay. Our truck was blocked in by three sides and our only option was to go out the open side. This meant that the technician had to go thru the grass. The technician had to move a large landscape stone that was along the other side of the truck. The technician was able to manover his truck from the blocked vehicles by going thru the grass. If we were unable to get our truck out, the technician's only other option was the call the police."
