I called several pest control companies and selected Ehrlich bases on price and availability. They arrived on time. The guy took his time and we discussed several options. I told him we have a special needs child in the house and my concerns about where and how much he sprayed. When he walked in he was waring protective booties so our hardware floors wouldn't have scratches. He sprayed in the selected areas and outside. Within 1 week all the antswere dead.

I can't say enough about the professionalism and friendliness of their guy. I want to say his name is Bill but I have to examine the receipt. They also provideda chemical sheet explaining the various hazards and other information I could look up.

I would definitely have then out again!

It's a monthly payment of 39 dollars. They have a bunch of different programs. They take care of everything besides bed bugs. The inspected for termites. They solved the problem and told me what he was doing. They gave me a senior discount.

I am on a monthly plan with them where I pay $69 a month for termite control package as well as a pest control package.  I think that they are awesome.  I have been with them for about a year and they are very professional.  They come every 3 months to check the house whether I call them or not.  They do a very thorough job.  They look all over the house and even the outside with a ladder.  They are very polite, professional and courteous.  Unfortunately I have had to call them every month and for various problems.  They show up the next day after my call every time.  The same technician comes out every time and that saves me the time to explain everything to different people.  The amount of money I pay them would be much more if I were to use someone else.

They were supposed to do indoor and outdoor pest control. They did the indoor and they claimed they did the outdoor, but I don't believe them. I would not use their service in the future.

"Dear member, First, let me thank you for calling us and giving us the opportunity to provide services for you. After reviewing our records, it looks like your primary concern was stink bugs. We provided the initial service on 5/4/09 and probably couldn't treat the outside of your home due to weather conditions. Our records indicate that our customer service representative called you on 5/27/09 and confirmed an appointment for 6/3/09. Our technician returned on 6/3/09, arrived at 3:52 PM and finished the outside service. Our records are very complete and accurate and even indicate the materials and quantities used. I have absolutely no reason to believe that the technician who provided the service would have falsified the computer records to give the impression that a job was completed if it wasn't. Since only the outside was being treated, you were not required to be there and you might not have been home. Just because you did not physically witness the treatment does not mean it wasn't completed. You wouldn't necessarily have been able to detect any residue or residual odor from the treatment upon returning home. I am a little distressed that it took over 2 years for you to voice your concern and that you chose to use this forum to do so. If you would have simply called our office with your concerns/ doubts in June of 2009 and we would have gladly returned to treat your home again. Even more distressing is the straight "F" scoring that you felt was appropriate. We take our reputation and integrity very seriously. The 53 Pittsburgh Ehrlich employees work painstakingly hard to keep our customers happy. We signed up with a yearly contract (they charge a one-time fee, then $40/month and I can call them as many times as I want for whatever pest problem I have). This has worked out so well for us due to mice in the winter, as well as bees and wasps in the summer, and also spiders throughout the year. They schedule routine appointments every 2-3 months and if I need them additionally I just call them. The same technician works with us as well. The techinican is always kind and pleasant to work with. I’m happy with their services.

I pay them $36 a month and they come out about three times a year and spray. They have a scheduled treatment and then if I have any problems I can call and they just come out. Recently they came out and treated ants. I think they do a good job. I like the guy that comes and does the work and he is the same guy that comes.

There are carpenter bees because we have a cedar siding house and they’ve really helped a lot. They come and spray on the inside and now we are free of mice. I guess it's not their problem but we were told that the same person would come which is sort of helpful. We live in the woods and I'm here by myself a lot and it's nice to know whose going to come. I know the time that they are going to come but it hasn’t been the same. I don’t know if that person is not working there anymore or what happened. Other than that they’ve been friendly and they’ve been prompt. They come when they say they’re going to come. When we have a problem other than the time that they're supposed to be scheduled, they come. Especially with carpenter bees, they want to know right away.

Our 35 service technicians have 394 years of combined experience for an average tenure of 11+ years. Only 5 have been with us less than 5 years. This long tenure is very unusual in the pest control industry because of the difficult nature of the job and the seasonality of the workload. My experience was very positive in all respects--when I called the office I got a prompt response and an appointment scheduled for the next day. The two different guys who came to the house, one to bid the job, the other to set the bait, etc, were both prompt, friendly, reassuring (important when you're freaked out about having mice in your house!) and professional. I had read up about mice eradication on the internet, so I had an idea about what should be done, and that is what was recommended by Ehrlich. I didn't feel that they tried to sell us more services than we needed, which has happened with other companies doing work on my house.

I called a couple of exterminator’s from Angie's List. The other company was very knowledgeable and capable, but this company offered a warranty that lasted for the rest of the year. The nest was located on the side of my home. They offered extensive and invasive solutions, but because I chose a more invasive solution from the options they gave me, the warranty was very handy. This company was always punctual and professional and was consistent with their service. They ended up coming out about 3 times, but it was all taken care of less than one low fee. I will continue to use their services in the future.

I called them to come out and do some mice exterminating and they came out and set the traps all around my home. I called them following that to come out set some traps that they forgot and set an appointment to check the traps. They set an appointment for two weeks after Christmas and I have not seen nor heard from them since. They were a little bit cheaper than some of the alternatives, however it turns out that cheaper is clearly not always better.

"Your home was serviced by Ehrlich's Uniontown office located in Smock, PA. We opened that office several years ago to be able to provide better and more localized service to the folks in Fayette and southern Westmoreland (where Ruffsdale is located) counties. I called the Uniontown office on your behalf and explained your situation. They have been trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with you to see if they can rectify the situation. They are under the impression that the mouse problem was corrected and there were no additional services owed. A corrective service for mice is usually only warranted for 60 days (unless you sign up for our maintenance plan) because new mouse problems can occur. However, if the original problem was never resolved because of a missed appointment, please give us a chance to make it right. Call Christina or Mike at the Uniontown office at your earliest convenience and they'll make sure you're taken care of. Their Mt. Pleasant number is 724-547-7200. Don't forget to ask about the ongoing maintenance plan (the YRPP- Year Round Protection Plan) that protects your home from 36 pests all year for one low monthly fee. Well, I haven't seen any ants so far, but I have seen other types of spiders and bugs,so whatever they put down didn't kill everything. I still think $369.00 is alot of money for one treatment. I have, I think, 90 days to call again if I see anything.

I had a mouse problem, so I called them. They first sent out a scout to see where the mice were coming in from and then sent out a killer to set up the trap and came back again. I signed up for the 12 month plan to exterminate any mice or insects. There wasn’t anything I did not like about the company. They were punctual and did what they said they would do. They followed up and also explained to us how to avoid this problem in the future. They were professional and very courteous. I would recommend them to others.

I called in a panic because the previous night we had a bat crash into a door between our kitchen and family room. I sequestered myself in the bedroom for over 12 hours. So when I called -on a Saturday- the person who answered the call was extremely polite and helpful. Since we couldn't find it and didn't know what happened to it I really didn't even know what service to ask for. I explained the situation and she suggested she have the technician on call for the weekend give me a call and we could just discuss my situation. He called within 5 minutes. I again explained the events and situation and he suggested he come over and take a look around at no charge! I was so appreciative since I didn't know where to look and my husband didn't have any luck finding it the previous night. Well, he came right over and looked through the house- top to bottom. He showed me all the spaces that the bat could access and be resting; did you know it only takes an opening 3/8" for it to get in?!? He was professional and personable. He was hoping to find it but never did... not for lack of trying. He explained a lot of the myths and educated me on the facts. He reassured me that it was more afraid of me and that we would probably find the little creature on the floor dead from starvation. Since we just moved to this house a few months ago, we were concerned with whats to come in the insect and critter situations. Our lot is wooded and it's a natural concern. He gave me some literature about the company's background and a program for preventative measures that I'm sure we will take advantage of. This gentleman spent well over an hour at our house and though he thoroughly looked everywhere and did not find anything, there was no charge. He did say that perhaps NOT ALL technicians would do that FREE of charge, but since the company is so customer oriented, he feels it was the right thing to do. Also, I mentioned I called them because of the fantastic reviews on Angie's List. He said it was not until recently that they knew how well they were represented on this site. We will be calling early next week for the preventative program and they will be the first we call next time. Even though he did not find/remove the bat, I feel much better educated and now know we have them for a resource.

We had to sign a contract with them to get them to come out. They took care of the carpenter ant problem and we have used them for five years. I think they are pricey. I do get the same technician every time and he is responsive.

He came within a couple days and when he said he would. He was very helpful. He looked at our attic and said he didn't think we had a mouse problem. He was very honest with us. He didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. If I had to have some work done, I would call to have him do it.

They are very responsive. Last time they came in within fifteen minutes. One of the things I'm annoyed about is that their prices keep going up and they send in too many form letters. They send in one or two guys and they are in and out.

This is a middle-of-the-road company, nothing spectacular. They came, did the job and left without going to any extraordinary effort. They were utterly unremarkable. They may have overcharged me for the services but I'm not sure.
