I was very happy to work with Chris and Paul at Sweet Success to convert a 48-year old woodworking machine shop into more livable space that has made me very happy (as did the cost and time involved). I really appreciate their thinking of everything and executing every aspect of their plan with exceptional workmanship. The entire crew was a pleasure to have in the house, and I look forward to completing additional projects that we have already discussed and scoped out.

We hired Chris, Paul and their team to patch and paint the holes created in the plaster walls of our home after we had knob and tube replaced, and then they also took on additional work in doing repairs and restoration of the home. They were thorough, professional, timely and responsive. They were patient with us and Chris also has a good eye for design. Chris and his team did a phenomenal job on my older Pittsburgh home. The scope of our work spanned plaster repair, tilework, painting, exterior repairs on eaves, as well as a fully remodeled bathroom. Due to the limited space between my house and the neighbors', it was a challenge to find a contractor who could reliably complete the repairs. Chris and Paul provided estimates for all of the individual projects that were scoped and provided a short timeline. They clearly communicated all steps during the process and all additional costs. The team was incredibly diligent and was prompt showing up at the site each day. Chris' passion for the work comes through in his desire to do the work correctly the first time--no shortcuts. We're very happy with deck restoration work done by Chris Dallaba and his team at Sweet Success Contractors. Chris responded promptly to my initial call, stopping by the following weekend to scope out the job and provide a quote. He was available to start work two weeks later. His team showed up on time each day and worked a full day. Chris was on-site during the project, doing both hands-on work and supervising the work being done. He clearly brings a significant amount of experience to projects and made several recommendations to help us achieve good results.

Chris and his crew were very professional, respectful, and polite. Their work is exceptional. We had a water leak in our living room from the upstairs bathroom. After the plumbers were done, they left behind a very challenging job to hide all the pipes that were outside of our living room wall. They did such a fantastic job that no one would know the issues we had. They followed all the EPA Lead guidelines. Chris and his crew did a great job cleaning up after the project was completed. I would highly recommend Sweet Success Contractors to everyone. In fact, yesterday, I recommended them to my neighbor who saw the great job they did.

Thoughtful creative solutions, excellent results. Chris & his team did the finishing and plaster repair after we had knob & tube replaced on 2 floors. They also repaired and painted quite a bit of other areas and dog proofed our back yard. It all looks great. If you have an older home and want a contractor that cares about your home, it’s historic features and their work look no further. Communication was great throughout the project, Chris let me know when they ran into unexpected issues so their were no surprises at the end.

Sweet Success came to do a number of jobs for me - painting and caulking windows, painting a front door, installing insulation, replacing water damaged trim. They were very communicative-- showed up when they said they were going to show up, kept me informed on their plans and what was next. All of the work was excellent, and they seem to have deep and vast experience with old houses. I'm so pleased with the work performed and definitely plan to use them again.

We hired Sweet Success for an extensive kitchen/dining remodel as well as a total remodel of the bathroom off of the dining room and the addition of a small deck and stairs leading to the backyard. It involved knocking down the wall that separated the kitchen and dining room, gutting the kitchen, gutting the bathroom, raising the floor of a small mudroom/pantry off of the kitchen, laying down new flooring and many other details that, frankly, I hadn't even thought about until we had our first meeting. Paul sat down with us for about 2 hours for the first meeting to go over the scope of what we were looking for. We had another meeting after that at which point we were given our "homework." They were meticulous, thoughtful and did exactly what they said they would do in a shockingly accurate (and short) time frame. They estimated 5 - 6 weeks for the whole project. All of my friends who had experience with remodels told me to add at least 40% to whatever time frame we were given. They were amazed that our timeframe was correct. Paul and/or Chris and their crew showed up every morning and worked steadily until evening, Monday through Friday, for the full 6 weeks. The end result is fabulous and the craftsmanship excellent. We will absolutely be using Sweet Success for all future projects, big and small.

Hired Crhis and team for drywall, plaster, and indoor painting repairs due to burst pipe. Had extensive water damage and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to make the repairs. His knowledge was extensive and he was able to consult for various other home improvement projects including masonry/foundationg repairs. His clean up work was meticulous and I would love to hire him again for projects in the future.

The job was finished on time and within the estimated price range. The ceiling looks brand new! The texture of the finished kitchen ceiling is homogenous with that of the adjacent eating area, and the fresh coat of paint on both ceiling areas brought a a nice final touch to the work. Chris and his crew took meticulous care to protect the cabinetry in our kitchen and furniture in the surrounding rooms of our house from dust, etc., and they thoroughly cleaned up when they finished the job. The service Sweet Success provided was excellent, and professional. I highly recommend them.

We've now used Chris and Paul Dallaba, along with their team, for two different sets of projects. With this latest set, the team tackled a ton of plaster, drywall, and painting as well as sealing walls in the basement. Upstairs, the walls and ceilings look great. The basement looks 100 times better and the spots prone to some seepage after rain has been dry since they finished. They also did a good amount of plumbing and electrical work. The fact that they can do all of these things well allowed us to knock off a ton of project without calling a lot of different contractors. I also appreciate that they provided a lot of upfront advice to give us an idea of which of our projects would provide us the most value. We'll definitely reach out to Sweet Success with our future project needs.

Chris Dallaba and his son Paul, along with the crew did an excellent job of organizing and coordinating the rather extensive work that needed to be undertaken due to siding damage from insects and woodpeckers. They kept us informed of any unexpected additional work. During the three weeks on the job they were punctual in their work schedule, allowing us to schedule our activities accordingly. Because they covered doors and windows prior to working around them, overspray, drips, and spattering was essentially nil. At the conclusion of each workday they left the worksite neat and navigable. Although the cost of the project was expensive, it is reflected in the quality of the work; it was thoroughly and satisfactorily completed. We would engage Sweet Success Contractors for future projects on our house and do not hesitate to highly recommend them to other homeowners.

After replacing the plumbing in our home, large sections of walls and ceilings which were opened to access the plumbing needed to be repaired. After receiving several quotes from various contractors, we decided to work with Chris Dallaba and Sweet Success Contractors. Chris arrived at the scheduled time and prepared a detailed estimate for the work. He also explained, with good detail, his company's emphasis on quality, which was most important to us. I explained to Chris our expectation was, after completion, that our home would look like the plumbing replacement never happened. The crew from Sweet Success Contractors arrived promptly each day and worked quickly and efficiently. They took great care to cover floors and furniture in the areas they were working and throughout the areas of our home where they were travelling. Communication throughout the duration of the project (3 days) was very good, and Chris stopped by each day to check on the progress and let us know the next steps. The project is now complete and WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. Our home really does look like the plumbing replacement never happened. The after-project cleanup was thorough and the final bill was exactly what we were quoted. Chris Dallaba and Sweet Success Contractors met all of our expectations and we will definitely consider them for future projects in our home.

Chris is a dream to work with, a top-notch professional. I paid much more than what another contractor bid, and it was more than worth it. His setup was meticulous, with plastic sheets used in doorways to keep dust out of my house. The plaster work itself was perfect. Chris was also meticulous about cleaning up after the work was done.
