"I regret that there was any problem. The deal with this customer was for 3 hours of work of drywall work in one trip. We can only do so much in 3 hours. Spackling takes a while to dry, so it's hard to apply the number of coats needed in this time span. They could have paid for a little more time if they wanted, even for one more hour. Almost all the customers who paid for the same deal were very happy. Again, I regret that they were not satisfied. This was done over a year ago and was not brought to my attention until now."

"I rarely have this kind of falling out with a customer. I tried to discuss it to no avail. I don't know what else I could have done. By saying, "read, read, read" - it sounds like the details were in small print or something. But the contract is very clear about what was included. This person told me that they didn't read the contract at all until a month after the work was done. I wrote up the contract right after we discussed the estimate over the phone. The contract agrees with my estimating notes that I made on the job site. So, from initially looking at the work to writing the contract, what I said and wrote was the same. But when the work was done, she thinks I said her something different at the start. Misunderstandings happen, but if you do not read the contract, the chances are much greater to have one. It's just not right to jump to the worst possible conclusion and make accusations like this. There is no basis for it. They simply have a mistaken memory of what was said. Specifically - they thought the gutter on the back of the house should have been included. The contract states that we were to paint only the gutter on the front. They said here, "he is not a man of his word" because they think I said something different than the contract says, as if trying to take advantage of them. Please consider what most the other customers think about our company. As for the not introducing myself - this painting was on her mother's house. She asked me just to deal with her and not involve her mother, but at the end, was mad that I did not go and introduce myself to her mother. I thought for some reason she did not want her mother to be disturbed. I just can't win with this customer."
"I do appreciate your business. I'm sorry that I was unable at the time to come out. Our job supervisors are capable and usually can handle touch ups. I'm glad it worked out well. Thank you, Brian Doggrell"
