Tom Natalini and his workers are super professionals. I had them out to initially install two starbolts to a bulging 100 year old exterior wall, as recommended by a structural engineer. Tom was super knowledgeable about his craft, and about how to go about saving the wall from being re-built, and how to correctly repoint using the materials required to match the original wall. After beginning the job, it became apparent that the existing three starbolts (that came with the house) were installed improperly and were contributing to the continued wall movement. Tom and his crew explained well why the old starbolts were wrong, took pictures of the existing installation, as well as their installation prior to closing the ceiling for my records. This additional work added time and cost to the job, but Tom explained what was necessary, and there was no problem continuing the project without interruption. The work was impeccable, the workers were polite, clean, quiet and very considerate of my property and of my neighbors (they even cleaned off the cars in front of the house that were dirtied by the dust!) My neighbor even complimented them to me on their professionalism and consideration for the street and neighbors.Even with the extra work that was uncovered, as well as some requiring more work than thought, Tom and his crew were wonderful to work with, and I would recommend them to anyone.

During a particularly windy rain storm we realized water was leaking into our kitchen around a vent that led to an outside brick wall.  A quick fix with caulking was performed by a family friend who suggested that masonry work was needed not just in the area of the leak but in other locations as well.  We got three estimates for the job.  Tom Sr. returned my call promptly to schedule a time for the estimate.  He arrived on time on the scheduled day.  Tom's estimate was the highest of the three, but we went with him instead of the others because he seemed substantially more knowledgeable and described what sounded like a much more thorough job than what the others described.  He was also very honest about what did and did not need to be done and did not try to sell us more work than we needed.
We did have to wait several weeks before the job could be done, but this would have been the case with at least one of the other masons we contacted.  Tom Sr. and his crew arrived as promised on the scheduled day.  On the first day they worked on the street side of the house; they removed the down spout and window boxes and repaired all damaged brick and mortar.  All vents and the eves boxes were caulked.  The down spout and window boxes were replaced.  My only complaint was that the window boxes were not placed back on the correct windows.  They could have been a little more careful in marking exactly where things came from or they could have asked before they replaced the window boxes.  We did not realize the mistake had been made until after they had left and we did not bring it to their attention the next day because we didn't want to delay the work they were doing that day since we needed them to be able to finish in a timely manner.  Since the window boxes are hanging from the second and third floors it was a difficult fix for us to perform.
On the second day they worked on the garden side of the house re-pointing all damaged brick and mortar.  On both days the work area was thoroughly cleaned when they were done, leaving our sidewalk and garden neater than before they came.  All of the workers were professional and courteous.

I called Mr. Natalini in December 2011 for an estimate on pointing bricks on back of house; we settled on meeting about two weeks after my call. Tom, looked over the back of the house and explained what needed to be done and how it would be done.  After receiving the estimate, I called to confirm that we wanted to go ahead with the work. Tom explained the need to wait until the weather broke and that he would put me on the jobs list for March. When he called in March, my husband and I decided to add repair of driveway and the walkway along the side of the house. Tom, came out again and explained how the old concrete would be removed, and the stones and wiring that would be laid to support the concrete driveway and walkway. He sent another estimate that included the additional work; I called to let him know the job was a go; a week or so later the work began; Tom also included a repair to our retaining wall, a crack in the concrete wall of the house and pointed a couple of bricks on the front of the house. The job was finished in about two weeks. My husband who was home when the work was being done, had no complaints about the work or the workers. We were pleased by Tom's knowledge and professionalism and the fine job he and his workers did.

I called Mr. Natalini on Tuesday. He returned my call that night and set up an appointment for Sunday between noon and three. On Friday I called to confirm the appointment (as I always do with contractors) as well as see if I could get a tighter arrival time, as I had many things to do on Sunday outside the house. No one called back. I called again Sunday morning asking the same question in a voice mail. No one answered, but it's possible it was an office phone. So I stayed home the entire day, no one ever showed. No one ever called me. No one ever called me the next day. I understand you can be busy, but it takes 5 minutes to give a customer a call and let them know you won't be showing up, instead of having them waste what little time they have waiting for you not to show at all.
For the record, I nor my wife ever left the house the entire day, not even for a minute (in case the company claims to have shown up). Furthermore, the number Mr. Natalini has (as evidenced by the call back I received from him initially) has all calls recorded online, so even a missed call without a voicemail would be recorded. There is no such call. And lastly, I confirmed that this is the same Natalini (based on the phone number listed here), as I am aware there are multiple on Angie's List.
Response from Tom Natalini Sr & Son Inc

"Member, I am truly sorry I just went on line to check Angie’s List. I don’t always check. It has been at least 2 months. I handle all calls and my wife at the end of each day gives me my emails. I did call you and make an appointment for Sunday between 12 & 3. They say if everyone puts their troubles in a room and looked at everyone else problems you would see how fast everyone would grab their own back. Everyone has a load to carry I am not trying to make excuses I do want to apologize and say I drop the ball. I am sorry for my mistake and wasting your time. In the future I will try to be more responsible. We do have a good rating and I need to try harder to keep it good. Thank-you Sincerely, Thomas Natalini, Sr."

During the heavy rains of August and September 2011, a water main broke and filled our basement with 2 feet of water.  Water was coming in through holes in the walls and floors.  Once the main was fixed and we were finally able to clean up the water we went right to Angie's List to find a basement waterproofing company.  Every company I called was swamped (understandable given the weather), but  even when they said they'd call back weeks later they never did.  Realizing that it was less of "waterproofing" service and more of a concrete repair I looked up Tom to see if he had done basements before.  We had used him for other concrete/stucco work outside our house and were very happy with his price and work.  He had done lots of basement work similar to what we were looking for.  I called him and within 2 days he came out and gave us an estimate.  The price was good and he was able to schedule us within a week.

They started the work on a Monday and everything was completed within 5 days.  He removed everything from our basement (we store a lot of stuff down there) and moved the washer and dryer.  He moved everything really neatly into our dining room and outside (covered with plastic).  After all the work was completed he replaced everything and cleaned up the floors on the first floor (they had tracked in a lot of dust).

The basement looks great.  There haven't been anymore watermain breaks, but I feel confident that everything is properly repaired.

We were out of town for the first few days of the job and they had to get a house key from a neighbor.  No problems there.  The job was done efficiently with a minimum of disruption to us.  They had to re-build a small part of the wall around the water heater, which they did at no extra charge.  The new walls look great and they even closed up some air leaks.  Finally, they did a very thorough job of cleaning up.  Very thorough.  We were quite pleased and will have them back to do some exterior work once the weather warms up.

I contacted Tom and he responded later that day to set up an estimate. He showed up as planned the first time, and got an estimate to me a few days later. We scheduled the work for about six weeks out, due to both his schedule and my own. He did the job just as promised, even doing some extra repointing and clean up work. The work was high quality and Tom was completely professional. One of the nicest things was that any time I called with a question, Tom either answered the phone or called me back within an hour or two. Anyone who has worked with a contractor of any kind knows how rare this is! I would recommend Tom again!

I contacted Mr. Natalini back in October (approximate) due to water coming into my mother's front window.  While examining the exterior of the window I noticed that mortar was missing from where (I assumed) the entry point was.

Within one day of receiving my message Mr. Natalini responded that his company was booked solid through spring and that it might be better to go with another company due to the emergency..

I replied to this call by telling him that if someone canceled or he received an opening to please keep me in mind.  I had a neighbor do a quick patch, hoping it would hold up and it did.

I contact Mr. Natalini the week before Thanksgiving seeing if there was an opening just to get an estimate -- after finding out that my mother's neighbor (shared walk) wanted an estimate as well.  I told the neighbor that this company was a family business with generations involved.  I contact Mr. Natalini the week before Thanksgiving to see if I could just get an estimate (knowing that the work would not be performed before Spring).  He got back to me ASAP and we set up for his son to visit the location to give that estimate.

Chris visited us on Tuesday, November 29th and after reviewing the window stated that the water might not be coming in from the crack in the brick and gave us a company they work closely with to check your home for leaks.  We were amazed that he was so open with a senior citizen (widowed) and her daughter.

We did receive an estimate for patch and cement work around both homes on December 4th and are reviewing at this time.

I do know that we will be scheduling an appointment for the work to be done in the Spring!

We had a couple of masonry estimate requests, but they were the only masonry provider that came.  They were very professional and responded quickly.  Their pricing was a little bit high for us.  It was $3000.  We can’t do the work anyway until spring.  We would probably call them back again in the spring.

They gave me an estimate and then came back shortly afterward and changed it. They revised the estimate upwards and I thought that it was a bit high. I may possibly use them in the future but I am not sure.

While we had to wait a while for his services -- he did call us with an earlier date but we were out of town that weekend and missed his call -- it was really worth-while. The work was done veery carefully and we were very impressed with it, inboth cases, fixing the stucco and the front porch... W had thought they might just patch the cement work, but they made it al look like new! We are extremely pleased and will defintely conatact him in the future if needed.

They were very efficient and professional and knowlegeable. They warned me that the wall could be damaged in the removal of the sidewalk, but it wasn't.  I knew that the tricky part was dealing with the gate which had been having sticking problems for quite some time due to previous cement work done by the city. It was obvious that this was going to be a challenge and when the gate was released from the cement, they saw the problem. They were willing to try a repair by changing the placement of the gate on the wall and it worked. Now the gate works beautifully. I was very pleased with their work.

I left a message and Tom phoned right back.  He set up an appointment to come to my house on a Sunday between noon and 3pm.  While others who've come to give an estimate gave me a definite time, not a window, I thought, Okay, I can do this.  I've done it for Verizon.  :)   Tom didn't come and didn't come and by 3 he wasn't there.  At 3:30 I got a message saying his dog had taken sick and had to go to the hospital.  Now I can understand how upsetting this can be, but still I'd have expected a call before 3:30.  If Tom had phoned back Monday I'd probably still have had him come out, knowing that a Pet's illness can be upsetting.  But I never heard from him again, and to me that's no way to do business or impress people.

We hired Tom to repair some sections of loose/cracked/missing stucco on our rowhouse and to seal a row of exposed sand brick that was badly weathered.  Scheduling the estimate was easy and prompt, and Tom was very thorough in identifying and explaining the various masonry issues (the house is 90 years old after all).  He suggested remedies and prioritized what work needed to be done right away and what could be postponed. Communication was very good, and his crew arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled.  The finished work looks really good, and they did a great job cleaning up, as well.

I will absolutely call Tom the next time we need to have masonry work done.

This was my second time using Tom Natalini. As usual, Tom is pleasant, responsive and professional. Before he started my job, he invited me to a work site nearby so he could show me what concave pointing should look like (to direct the rain away). He was repointing another brick house, and his workmanship was beautiful.

What I originally thought was a simple pointing job on my upper chimney turned out to be much more after Tom climbed up to inspect. I had noticed the chimney leaning a bit toward the back yard, and I could also see that the pointing was missing in most areas. They installed scaffolding, removed masonry approximately 14" from the top, removed top rollock capping all four sides of chimney; sawed out all brick joints down to roof level, repointed all joints using concave slicker, installed new rain cap on existing flue pipe. Tom's estimate indicated installation of a new concrete crown, but after he began the work on the chimney, he said it wasn't needed, saving me some money. They cleaned up nicely when they were finished, and they replanted several plants that were in their way when they installed the scaffolding, which I thought was very considerate.

Tom's son was working here the second day, and I learned from him that his family on both sides has been in the masonry business for a couple of generations, so I guess they've learned something along the way! I will use Tom in the future and will recommend him to anyone who asks.

Tom Natalini & Sons did a first rate job!  They did an impressive amount of work in record time and they did it extremely well! They were very thorough, professional and courteous. Not only did they complete the work in record time they cleaned up so well after the job was finished that I could barely tell they had been in our house.

I showed Tom my basement and the cracks in the wall of my (Civil War era) Center City Philadelphia row house. He knew exactly what to do to fix the problems which included; basement flooding, wall damage and deterioration and walls separating from the foundation. He explained all of the procedures and the resulting costs up front. There were no surprises. Tom is very personable and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. He even fixed my neighbor's step at no extra charge to us because he thought that might be contributing to the water in our basement.  Just amazing! I would hire Tom Natalini again in a heart beat and I would recommend him to friends or family without a second thought. He did a really outstanding job!
