The dryer in our GE Space maker washer/dryer (an over/under one piece unit) was making constant squeezing noises and noise was getting louder. We called A Plus Appliance Service (aka Dan Poiesz Appliance Repair) and explained the issue.  Technician came the next day and after listening to the squeak, determined that the main bearing needed to be replaced.  The bearing was wearing through and, if not fixed, could have fallen through with damage to dryer.  He had the bearing unit in his truck and proceeded to replace it.  After repair, no more squeaks.

Dan is awesome. Quickly returned my call, diagnosed and fixed the unit. We have used Dan 3 times over the past few years. Always worth the call to see if it can be fixed before buying new!

We called Dan on Tuesday, he was able to schedule an appointment that fit our schedule for Wednesday.
He called to confirm the time that he would arrive and showed up on schedule. He was able to diagnose the problem and explained what the problem was. He was able to fix it and charged a very reasonable price for his work. We'll definitely keep his number on file in case of any future problems.

It turned out not to be complicated but it was fine. We were happy with him.

Called Dan because he had fixed our dishwasher in the past, in 2012, and was very good and professional.  Very personable as well.  He came out the very same day, took the dishwasher apart, and realized that the piece that filters out food particles was clogged and damaged and needed to be replaced.  He left and got the replacement part and was back within a half hour.  The next day we ran the dishwasher.  It started up fine, but then stopped after a few minutes and the light kept blinking, but nothing was happening.  We called Dan again, and he came out the very next work day.  When he came over, it worked perfectly!  (Like when you take your car to the mechanic and it runs perfectly!)  Anyway, he refused payment for the second house call.  Unfortunately, we tried the dishwasher the following day, and it didn't work again.  In addition to failing to dispense the soap, the light kept flashing on and off.  We checked our records and saw that we bought this dishwasher in March 2003, and it is simply beyond repair.  So we will be getting a new one this week.  But Dan tried, and was very professional and spent a good deal of time with us.  He is very good.

We have a fridg. that is not holding temperature. Since my wife and I work full time, we were hoping for some help on a weekend. Or even someone to speak with. I called Dan, left a message and he responded within 1 hour. It is clear that he is personable and wishes to be helpful. I had already found an appliance store with open hours today to speak with someone and secured an appointment on a Monday. Dan is at the top of my list for someone to call in the future. I had an extremely positive impression. And so I chose to write this even though we did not do business yet.

Was able to fit us in for a night time appt same day for our fridge that did not appear to be cooling well. Arrived on time and was very nice and knowledgable. New a lot about the Kenmore model that we had. Price was very reasonable and assured us he would come back out if it started acting up again. I relate this to my car...makes a funny noise till I get it to the mechanic, then quiet as can be :) Would recommend and will use again in the future.

Wonderful. Dan found the problem right away, removed the damaged part, showed me the new part, installed it and was gone in 30 minutes. Could not ask for more!

Our freezer went on the fritz on Sunday afternoon and we lost a bunch of food. We called Dan and he was able to come out the next day. While Dan wasn't able to fix out problem...the refrigerator has mysteriously started working again....he was timely, professional and thorough. When he couldn't find something to fix, he let us know and didn't charge us for our time. While that's a great story, there's more. Dan took the time to follow up with a phone call the next day with a potential solution for our sporadic freezer function. We'll be calling him again in the future if we have appliance issues...

Dan was able to do the needed repairs on the same day I called. He gathered information over the phone so he would have the necessary supplies. He arrived when he said he would, diagnosed the problems immediately, and explained the needed repairs before he did them so I could approve. He worked quickly and left clean work areas. Dan gave me a discount since he was servicing two appliances. He was able to fix both the washer and the stove, and his work is guaranteed. Dan was pleasant and professional. I will definitely give him all my future business.

I called A Plus and left a message detailing the issue. Dan called back same day and even accommodated my schedule by coming out later that evening. He called to let me know he was on his way. My refrigerator freezer was and quot;acting upand quot; and I explained the problem to Dan, gave him the model #, he came prepared. He was honest and able to fix it immediately; saving all the food and cost of having to purchase a new fridge.

Dan arrived on time and completed the work quickly and at the price he quoted. He was pleasant and very professional. Can't ask for more.

I called and left a message explaining what the problem was that we were having with our washer. He called the same day and scheduled the appointment for the next day. He called and told me that when the appointment time was coming up that he was running a few minutes late but that he would be there by noon and he was. He came in and fixed it and he didn't have to replace a part so he only charged me the service call it was to come out. There was something lodged in the filter and was impeding the impeller from draining. He didn't charge me anymore than the $65.00 to come out. I thought he was very honest. I was home at the time. He did everything, he showed me, he explained it. He didn't charge me anything additional other than the service charge and I thought that was very good.

We left a massage for Dan and he promptly got back to us. Understanding it was a freezer and the food was thawing he came out as quickly as he could. Dan was punctual and pleasant. He looked at our freezer and spent a good amount of time determining what the problem was. He was honest and let us know that it was a fairly expensive repair and probably not worth fixing.He took the time to explain why it wasn't worth fixing. But offered an option to do so. From what we have read on the internet he is absolutely right. He was a trooper too because the space in which he had to work was small due to construction going on in the house. We would absolutely hire Dan again.

He said he'd come between 10:00 Am and 12:00. He came at 10:30. He took a soft wire brush and cleaned the contacts on the range burners. Normally he'd charge $60 for the visit, but because it was such a simple job he cut it down to $35. We're very happy. He showed us how to carefully clean the pizeo-electric contacts, in case this happens again. Very professional and courteous.

Excellent. He was available at a time that was convenient for me. He called ahead to make sure I was home. He ordered the part needed and came back the next day, again at a time that was convenient for me. He charged me what he said he was going to charge me and best of all my washer works.

It was a service call. The person who came out was very young. He gave me an estimate of what it would cost to fix the dishwasher. I thought his tools were very poor. He did not perform any work for me.
