Puhlease don’t go by these seemingly decent reviews. Omg. We had to replace almost everything they did in our house as everything had issues. We put out over 25k a year ago and now have to put out thousands to correct problems. The owners wife will most likely respond with a million reasons why I’m wrong. Believe what you want but d***, the work sucks. Everything leaks and it’s been so expensive. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They also promised and it’s in our contract that they would come for free for two years to winterize, etc but after no less than fifteen calls and texts…. Zero response. Surprise, surprise. Run!!! Oh, plus the water softener they installed wasn’t the right one for our water and now we have to have it replaced by a quality plumber in order to have safe water. Last but not least, they were supposed to completely the work in five days. 19 weeks later…. Shoddy work “complete.”

Had a mini split system installed in summer of 2022. Great service initially, quick set up and friendly. Forced to make a decision the day of the consultation or the price would have gone up - that should have been our first red flag. Winter of 2023 the condenser outside started tipping over when the ground moved. We called to see if someone could come out and fix it since they installed it and we were not told that it might move. Met with terrible customer service. The owner had answered her phone while in the hospital dealing with personal issues, then got very irritated/snarky and told us she “is not a ground soil expert, they installed it the way we wanted, and we have to pay for any repairs.” We like to support local and small businesses and would have been understanding if they dealt with it professionally. Wanted to warn others. Told a month ago that someone would contact us ASAP to come and look… still waiting.

"Hello - 1 - Did your husband insist on the specific placement of your condenser despite the lead technician strongly suggesting against it because he wanted it to be “out of sight”? Answer: Yes, he did 2 - When I explained that there may be an additional charge for uninstalling and reinstalling your system did you insist that as the “hvac experts” we should be financially responsible for your ground shifting (under a placement we strongly suggested against from the beginning) and we should therefore work for free? Answer: Yes. YOU did (which led to my snarky response). 4 - Did I agree to assess the situation and see if there were any free or low cost solutions to the issue? Answer: Yes, yet again. 5 - In the two weeks that passed between being initially notified you had an issue and the date you decided to go on your review spree did we have three major snowstorms rendering it impossible to properly assess what options would be available to resolve your issue? Answer: We did. 6 - When you call a small business owner and she explains she’s in the hospital with her toddler and is answering the phone so you know she isn’t ignoring you do you as a human being have any empathy when it takes a little longer to get back to you then you’d like especially considering weather wise there was nothing that could be done during that duration anyway? What about as a mother? Answer: Clearly, you don’t. As stated when I last spoke to you, if you would like to make an appointment to assess options you can contact me at the office now that the ground is no longer frozen. Since you chose the placement against the technicians advise there may be a charge if there is no simple way to resolve the issue. You don't want to hear that. Unfortunately, someone has to pay for the decision that was made (labor and materials are not free) and that burden lies on the shoulders of the one who made the decision. If it was my technician I would eat the cost. It was not."

Safeway was one of the few places that we had reached out to who got back to us in a timely manner to schedule routine maintenance for our unit. When the unit totally stopped working the day before our scheduled maintenance, Lou came a day earlier than originally scheduled to see what was going on. Since we did need a new system and it was the middle of winter, we were given space heaters to use for the bedrooms until the new unit could be installed a few days later. Installation of the new unit was quick and everything seems to be working well so far! Happy with our experience with Safeway!

I needed my hot water heater replaced. I had rusty water for 3wks. I called 2 plumbers who basically blew me off, 1 that wouldn't come out till I knew the size of the tank and if it was electric or gas(I have no clue about those things) and nobody would do the work on a weekend, I can not miss work. I searched Angie's List and they recommended Safeway Heating. I called on a Friday late afternoon. I explained to the lady I knew nothing about size or anything just that it needed to be replaced and my work schedule. She totally understood and was so nice. The guys were at my house within an hour! The work was done the next day on a SATURDAY! I now have clean and clear water and didn't have to miss work. Lou and Larry even cleaned the one section of my basement and had all the trash bagged up for me. I'm impressed. These guys know what their doing. Explained everything in detail and customer service is 100%. They definitely go above and beyond for their customers. I will be using Safeway if I run into any other problems. If your looking to have work done, call them. You won't be disappointed.
