Professional and helpful. John went over every detail, provided a packet for questions and detail on products used.  I appreciated the expert help in determining how much work should go into my project.

The process was well planned and executed. The contractor made sure everything was to our liking. One thing we really liked is that he made suggestions as the process was unfolding. I was on site pretty much everyday and saw the process throughout. It was amazing to see the transformation. In addition to the kitchen and bathroom we also had the hallway and interior doors replaced. Everything came together better than we anticipated. We love what O'leary did and would recommend him to anyone.

it was a great job done!!!!   we contacted john he came over in a very short time. we discussed what we wanted done we asked him  what his ideas were on the project and if it was his home what would he do. very straight with answers. he could have told us to do all kind of things but he said lets do the lease and work forward if needed. he went home and worked up a price. he included his insurance information and his license # . we decided to do it the way he suggested.within a week we set a time to start. very prompt was on time and had all he needed to do job. started right in (i had to work so i gave him a key) he can be trusted with any thing we have. very honest man. his crew is very pleasant too. they did the work as quiet as they could cleaned up like they weren't there. we have renters upstairs and they commented how wonderful the people were doing the work. john also spoke to our renters to let them know what to expect during the project.he made sure the water was running the correct way to sump pumps. also came back to check on job. he said he will be back when we have a hard rain. winter is here now so we get snow or freezing rain, which doesn't affect basement. very fair man! price was excellent.

I had a aluminum roof installed by Machose contracting and the workmanship was poor. I needed a contractor to repair the new aluminum roof and fascia boards properly. I called O'leary contracting and J.M. Shinn roofing for estimates. O'leary was a little cheaper so my wife wanted to use him.



Well you get you pay for, O'Leary did the work but right away there were problems. Gutter wasn't finished properly and where he flashed the awning every time it rains water leaked in behind the awning. Also the wood fascia boards he installed are not strong enough to hold the aluminum roof edging and the screws are backing out. I also found out later he never installed all the boards he was supposed install. I called him and emailed him several times but he doesn't want to hear the problems and now says " I SHOULD NEVER TAKE REPAIR JOBS"    I AGREE! He didn't fix a dam thing properly!

Called Mr. O'Leary and had a wonderful conversation with him regarding doing an estimate for the roof replacement. Was promised that an estimate would be done in a few days. Nobody contacted me  in a few days or for that matter in a few weeks. Called the office and left a message. Nobody responded.

John and his crew were great. Unlike other contractors John is onsite with the crew. John was great from planning, to installation, sent me pictures of the progress when I couldn't be there and even came back after the job was complete to explain everything in detail. John is detail oriented and it shows though in the finished work. Very satisfied and look forward to working with O'Leary Construction on future projects.

Mr. O'Leary and his crew of workers arrived at the specified time given, and immediately went to work.  They placed tarps around the perimeter of the house, and removed the old roof, removing debris as they went along.  His crew of workers, were very professional, courteous, and very pleasant to converse with.  Not ever did they stop their work, even taking turns to have their lunch.  He and his crew did an exceptional job replacing the roof and the two skylights which O'Leary pointed out were slightly damaged and would have to be replaced within a two year period.  I was very grateful for his honesty. 

The warranty we received on the roof was excellent.

His expertise is that of a professional, and I would highly recommend him!

John is a nice person. They did everything as planned. It's been almost 2 years and it is clear our siding was installed correctly. I noticed that other homes have buckled siding. We don't. Hurricance sandy blew siding off several homes nearby but ours is fine. We love our big window. The copper top is nice. John is a craftsman in that he made that copper top from a sheet of raw material.

There was a leak and he came out and gave me an estimate along with some minor work. He is very and explained the work to be done. He gives good suggestions and he is friendly.

I found John to be very professional. He definitely knows his business. He arrived on time with a friendly demeanor and walked with me around the house to conduct the estimate. By walking with me, and not just doing his own inspection, he afforded me the chance to point out some major areas of concerns I happened to be concerned around, and he informed me of his ability/willingness to fix/repair them.
After conducting our walk around, he did his own inspection a second time, of the same gutters and drainage system I had just dragged him through. Taking notes the entire way. ( a true mark of professionalism )
He provided me with an estimate very shortly after and allowed me time to gather others before making a decision. ( with no pressure ) After deciding to use his services, he arrived on time, and go right to work.

What I was most impressed with was that he was able to fix it right away today as I was just expexting an estimate.  He gave me an estimate and had all the parts with him and instead of making us wait, he cleaned out, pulled all the old gutter hangers and replaced them with new, stronger ones.  This was just a small job, but I will definitely call Mr. O'Leary again if I need more contractor services like gutters, roof or siding.

I called at about 11 am, because I noticed my ceiling leaking water. Mr. O'Leary answered right away, and because it was an "emergency" situation, he came out right away. He and his assistant were at my house in about 30 minutes. He assessed the situation in about 10 minutes, and gave me two options (less expensive and more expensive) to remove the snow from my roof, which was causing the water to back up onto my ceiling. I chose the more expensive option (which was not that expensive at all), and they went to work! They did a thorough job, and even helped me to make the decision of whether or not to file an insurance claim for the minor damage. Mr. O'Leary was very professional throughout the entire process. I highly recommend his services!

If you told me a year ago that I'd find a reliable, competent, reasonably-priced and pleasant contractor in the Poconos, I would have laughed in your face. After having our roof mangled by another local chimney-guy-with-a-roofer-buddy, I got John's number from the folks at the Tom X Pub. Weeks later, he gave us a beautiful new roof and skylights for way less than other estimates and the job was done right. After realizing that our roof was now the nicest part of our home, we decided to ask John if he could take on some other projects for us. He is currently finishing our sunroom, repairing our stairs and finishing a full bath. John does top-quality work at a reasonable price and he follows up throughout the job with photos and updates. We really could not be happier with the work he has done and we will be working with him for many years to come.

John and his crew set expectations, made promises and delivered on everything with no surprises. It's great to know that there are still contractors out there were do what they promise.

Mr. Oleary came to give me an appraisal on removal of shingles all around the house and Install new shakes & siding. I also wanted new roofing installed with a roof build out for better ventilation. I also wanted a new bay window to replace my front window. He showed up to see what I wanted done & appraise the job but I never heard from him again. I think it may have been too big of a job for him.

Mr. O'Leary arrived as promised, completed the job the same day.  I now have beautiful new gutter guards and my roof again looks splendid!  I would definitely use Mr. O'Leary again for any future work I may have.

Excellent, professional job.  Fast service and speedy work that was done with a lot of attention to detail.  Great crew and John O'Leary is terrific.  We have been doing business with him for about 37 years.  We worked first with his father, Bob O'Leary - retired. When Bob retired, we had John work on our new house and previously he has sided the whole house with vinyl siding and also put a roof on a small addition.  This re-roof was needed and now the whole house looks amazing due to have all the roofs one color.  The new gutter guards are fantastic.  The price was also wonderful as other estimates far exceeded the O'Leary Construction price.  So we got top of the line work for a great price.  The clean-up was fantastic and they left the work area and our whole yard cleaner than when they began.  We could not be happier or more pleased with a job well done.

They came early and stayed until the job was complete in one day as promised. The owner was on site for the job and supervised the whole operation.  Throughout the process the owner was very responsive with information and contact.  I got 2 other estimates from known reputable companies and O'Leary had the best price using the same products and techniques as the other companies. The staff was professional and courteous.  At the conclusion before leaving they did a thorough clean up of the premises. Have already recommended them to a neighbor and would use them for other services.

After a horrible experience with a mason (Earl Sipley Masonry) who forgot to put my flashing back on the chimney before stoning and roofing Mr. O'Leary come to my rescue.  Prior to his arrival I had other roofers come in only to make matters worse.  When I FINALLY had John O'Leary come to my home he was able to FINALLY fix the problem at hand.  He was extremely professional and knowledgeable.
