They were prompt, organized, and communicated with us of what was happening throughout the process and charged us very fairly for any unforeseen additions. We were very pleased that they kept their word and gave us a beautiful roof at a great price. We will definitely want to use them again in any future roof projects, and recommend them to others. There honestly aren't enough stars to accurately rate J&S in the 'value for the money' category. J&S provided a quote that was less than half as much as the next cheapest competitor. And they matched or exceeded all of the other roofers I researched in quality of materials, warrantee, guarantee, certifications, and customer service. Stu and his crew are all seasoned professionals who work fast and clean. Our job was bigger than a typical reshingle (complete replacement of decking plywood & a flat section of roof), yet they still finished the whole job in just 1 day. Stu's expertise in attic ventilation was invaluable in devising a plan to make sure that our roof, attic, and our entire home will be safer, cleaner, and more efficient going forward. The admin staff (Heather and Meryl) are responsive and friendly. They helped me to coordinate with my HVAC contractor who I had on site the same day. J&S is a small local outfit that does right by local clients. I'll happily recommend them to all of my neighbors & friends in need of roofing services. There is no one better in the Bucks/Montgomery County area.

This is the most professional company I have dealt with in years. Stu called me several times to answer my questions and went out of his way to bring me actual shingle samples to help in my color selection process. Stu restored my faith in people with his honesty and consideration. The crew was polite and efficient and cleaned everything up when they had completed the work. The price was very reasonable and the service was above and beyond the norm. From the office staff to the installers, this company is exceptional and I would highly recommend them.

I have to admit, I am picky to the point of being annoying at times, but Stu was a true professional every step of the way. Every detail was covered, including my last minute concerns. The team arrived to the project early, ahead of Stu who had already let them know about the concern. I couldn't have asked for more. The project, a ridge vent replacement, which was improperly install by a different roofing company, was on the smaller side dollar wise, but I was treated as if I was spending thousands of dollars. Communication between team members and customer ensured the project was perfect, completed in timely manner, and the clean up was impeccable, you'd never know they were there. One of my better experiences as a homeowner. Thank You J&S Roofing!

Stu came out gave a reasonable quote For a new roof shingle installation,we hired his company to do the job. He showed up as promised two weeks later ! The job took two full days. The workers started At 7:30 am and worked until 7:00 pm both days ! They cleaned up after themselves! Would highly recommend them as they have done many jobs in our community! Thank you Stu !

Working with J &S Family Roofing was a wonderful experience! After placing a request for a quote I was contacted within minutes by their office manager, Meryll, who was very warm, friendly and professional. Stu, the owner, came out to look at my roof the next day; he was down to earth, extremely thorough, determined my problem was the flashing and actually was able to problem solve another issue I was having (leaky interior wall on the first floor), which he was not even there for. He gave me a competitive quote (more reasonable than the first 2 roofers that looked at the job) and completed the work in a timely manner. I will DEFINITELY be using J&S again!!!!

Great company to work with: friendly representative replied promptly to my inquiry, roofer came out for estimate same day, work was completed within the same week, no extra charges, customer service made several calls to make sure we were happy with progress, and all was done with respect to social distancing. I wish all contractors were so professional. It was a pleasure to work with Stu and Meryl. Highly recommend!

I would not recommend this contractor. Contracted to repair a leak in roof in chimney area. First issue was that contractor put up 2 ladders right on 2 gutters. Resulted in bending and significantly damaging one gutter so could not be easily repaired. Only moved the ladders when I pointed out issue. Contractor offered $300 back to repair gutter. Second issue is that contractor was to repair chimney grouting and seal. Contractor told me job was successfully completed. By chance I was up on the roof 2 months later and inspected chimney. This work was not done yet I had paid for it. I give 2 stars for customer service as Stu apologized and sent crew out and performed the agreed to service.

"I did everything to try and accommodate this customer including discounting $300 for a SLIGHTLY DAMAGED gutter in which we fixed. I was there personally. I repainted the chimney for free because we were there fixing the flashing anyway I go above and beyond for my customers as you can see by the other 188 testimonials. There are just some customers that you can never satisfy and have nothing going on in their life other than obsessing on negativity. I do not recommend this customer. 0 * s. Customer stated he was on the roof. Impossible. Roof is unworkable. I sent my crew back to fix what he was not happy with.3 months later Never paid in full"
