HOME TRIMWORK

We had an interest in renovating our main stairs and gave up after three estimates from central NJ establishments. Our dissatisfaction was primarily due to misrepresentation of advertised slogans like “We do it from beginning to end.” In reality services were mixed but no one offered a complete, finished project. Lacking services included removing old carpet, additional wood trim work, refinishing, staining and painting. To complete the project we in essence had to become the general contractor coordinating different services which was unacceptable. A friend recommended Home Trimwork in Huntingdon Valley, PA. The outcome far exceeded our high standards. The design manager showcased new ideas and in-depth experience during the 1st virtual session. After a few sessions we finalized the design and went to contract. The project details and timeline were clearly communicated. The project materials manager ordered the required materials and the project coordinator stayed in constant communication. The project started on time and the skilled wood craftsman was exceptional in terms of detail and quality workmanship. The final phase was painting and the outcome exceeded all our expectations. Every Home Trimwork team member was courteous, respectful of us and our property, highly skilled, professional and focused on providing an exceptional customer experience. I purchased a townhouse that was rather bare inside and in need of trim work and at minimum, a new fireplace mantel. Rather than do rooms here and there, I decided to do it all at once before I really decorated the home. I contacted a few contractors who also did trim work and some single-person woodworkers but knew that Home Trimwork would be my best option. I had one lower estimate ($2000 less) for the work but they would only prep for painting it rather than painting the trim. I went with Home Trimwork for the full package and was happy I did (the painting was exceptionally professional). Ulan consulted with me and designed a fireplace mantel (among other elements to the job) that I liked right away. In fact, we didn't change a thing. Over the course of two long days, two workers (I recall one was Eugene) put up all the trim. Their speed and efficiency astounded me, truly masterful. I could tell they had been doing it for years. The very next weekday afterwards, a painter (Lev) came each day and prepped and painted it all with two coats of semi-gloss paint which really pops against the wall colors. He never left a mess at the end of the day and was quite careful. You can tell it was done by a pro. Having a larger company like Home Trimwork likely decreased the amount of time it took to get the materials ordered and the completion of the job itself. It's a bit expensive perhaps but my thoughts were that I would have paid more for the house in the first place had it been "finished" with all this great woodworking. Plus I was able to get it all to my liking. I would say Home Trimwork would be about the best choice for anyone with a medium to large-sized job. If you just wanted molding in a room or two or perhaps just a new mantel a smaller contractor could be just as capable. Most of the rooms in my house have been truly transformed!

After an initial consultation & speaking with a designer from the company about my ideas, the master carpenters  Oleg & Bogdan   came and transformed my home.
 
I bought an old home & had a lot of work done which was quite costly.

There are imperfections & bad choices which I notice about the hardwood floor I had installed by another company which just drive me crazy , but everything that Bogdon & Oleg did is perfectly beautiful !
Every single day I'm thrilled by the classic elegance of the trim work & happy that I spent the money to have it done.

The carpentry work is beautiful & the men who did it were polite, professional, & a pleasure to work with.

Quality of work was very good and onsite crew was always on time, polite and keep the work area clean.

The carpenter and painter that came out to do the work are very skilled craftsman.  I am bragging about the quality and beauty of the finished products to all of my friends and family.  The workers were on time, kept to themselves not causing any problems, worked hard and did an incredible job.  They protected my carpet and the rest of the area they were working in, cleaned up and were very professional.  At first I thought the price was on the upper end of the spectrum, but when you look at the finished product it was a bargain!  I wish I had more things that needed replaced so I could have more of their beautiful woodwork in my house.

From start to finish, Home Trimworks did a great job!

Had an online consultation with Mark Ollivier. He followed up with a visit to our home to discuss options for the project.

The work was scheduled, materials delivered and project executed flawlessly.  Carpenters and painters were professional and courteous.

At the end of the day, we got a beautiful hardwood staircase, built in bookshelves/mantle and door trim.

They did a fairly good job.  After some going back and forth we finally came to a closet design that both my wife and daughter fell in love with.  The closet added tons of extra space and the work done was fairly well.   As with many old homes and using wood for trim in a 40 year old house it looked great initially.  As the wood settles though the caulking is showing gaps with the wood expanding/contracting with the heat/cold.  Most likely that would have happened regardless with a shifting house but that's what's happened up to this point so felt I should write it up in the review.  They did their work very quickly though.  Had a couple of miscommunications as to when they were going to be working but nothing that serious ... just minor annoyances.  They were fairly expensive for their work but worked very quickly and workers were courteous.  Less than a week to do the entire room.  Overall they did a fairly good job.  They design we finalized on came out really well.  I would consider using them again although I think I would look around at the competition first.  I'm giving them B's because the price was expensive ... had a few minor hiccups with scheduling ... and at points it sort of felt like we were somewhat of an annoyance to them.  Maybe it wasn't a big enough job?  Not sure.  Nothing overtly rude or anything ... just felt like at points we were an annoyance to them.  I'm guessing maybe because at one point the designer had to change a closet design that my wife originally agreed to and then realized later it wouldn't work.  So they reworked the design (this was all before any work was started) which changed the original quote.  I was ok with the quote change as well.  Maybe we got deemed "difficult to work with" from that point on or something.  Not sure ... anyways ... think that's about it.

We are currently using them for the second time. The first time we had them do trim work in our kitchen, dining room and living room and they made a very good impression.They are professional, courteous, responsive, respectful of your property and in constant communication. I would highly recommend them.

Outstanding workmanship on all of the trim work.  We had deep cracks in our floors and they stopped all work while we were away to allow us to make re-examine the project.  We ended up replacing our entire floor with them and it come out beautifully.  Work was completed on time and in an excellent fashion.  Would highly recommend them for any interior design project.

They did a great job. We were happy. They were fairly quick and it was easy. I would definitely recommend them. They cleaned up well and we got what they told us we were going to get.

Amazing...finally looks finished.  Extermely high quality of work and craftsmanship.  I could not be happier.
