"We thank you for the review, but would like if you actually told what happened. We're not perfect in anyways as a company lots of things need to go right to give you a free estimate. Our sales rep had car trouble so he was running late, when we spoke to you to rescheduling the appointment for the following day you stated you would be on vacation for a week so we rescheduled the appointment 9/14/16 and showed up at your home for the estimate for 3 windows and it turned out you only wanted one window. As far as the basic rule for hiring a remodeling contractor is you get what you pay for. The largest remodeling contractors in this business go door to door everyday that is how we get business its much cheaper than TV and print advertising."
"We appreciate the work you allowed us to do on your home. Our contract states we can use subs on projects, which we due time to time to keep up with our work load. We ordered OC products for your project but our supplier didn't have it in stock and substituted without our knowledge. The product that they supplied was same quality as OC but cost was a few dollars more. We gave you a $1500.00 credit off the job to make up the minor issues, which is mor than fair. As far as the electric, it states in our contract that you give us permission to use your electric that is why they didn't ask. The outlet they used was not screwed into the wall properly so when they pulled their cord out the outlet came with it. We screwed the outlet into the wall properly."
"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to work on your home and please keep us in mind for any future home improvements you may have. Mary"
"We appreciate your review and apologize for the problem you had. If you would have called the office we would of had it looked at and repaired for you. Again thank you for your business."
"We were never at your home. We don't work on apartments."
I had the carpet already tore up from the floor, so that was a job they didn't have to do. It went good. It took an extra day to finish than I was counting on so I lost some more hours of work. Rick did a very good job!
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for the kind words. Rick is a hard worker and takes pride in his work as you seen. If you have more home improvements please keep us in mind. It was a pleasure talking to you on the phone."
"We were way behind schedule on Mr [Member Name Removed]'s project due to the amount of rain days we had last year. We did have an issue with the roof leaking that was caused by an issue with the roofing underlayment and the modular home company that set the house didn't close the gables in with sheeting either in some areas of the house. Mr [Member Name Removed] never picked the color of the roof until after the house was set and the sunroom was just about built and the color of the roof he picked was out of stock and took an additional 2 weeks to get, he had months to pick the color. We're not blaming him for the roof leak, we take responsibility for that but the time it took to do the project was partly Mr. [Removed Member Name] fault. We repaired all the damage caused by the leak including removing and replacing the drywall and insulation. We also had other delays on the job caused by Mr [Member Name Removed] directly. He was suppose to have the shower so we knew where to put the plumbing in the floor of the garage. He took 3 weeks to get us the shower that he wanted, this was 2 months into the project the shower should have already been there so we knew where to put the plumbing before the concrete was poured which held up the garage for 3 weeks. Then the night before the trusses were scheduled to be set on the garage Mr [Member Name Removed] called at 7PM and said we cant set the trusses tomorrow their putting in the septic, the truss company leaves the plant in Virginia at 4AM so there was no way to stop the trusses from coming. The truss company dropped the in the field and said they would come back to set them with the crane when they have an opening, they couldn't get back out for 4 weeks, Mr [Member Name Removed] could have told the septic company to wait a day to do the septic since they weren't scheduled to do it that day they just showed up and we could have set the trusses instead of waiting four weeks. When we were about to complete the project Mr. [Member Name Removed] decided he wanted us to build a roof connecting the house and garage and a concrete pad between the house and garage. Mr. [Member Name Removed] must have been happy with our work or he wouldn't have us do an additional $17000 in work. As far as the roof on the garage leaking Mr. [Member Name Removed] called our framing sub contractor instead of calling the office. He waited a month to call the office, the reason he didn't want to call the office is because he shorted the final payment $14700 and knew what he did was wrong but after a month of not hearing back from the sub he finally called the office. Mr. [Member Name Removed] said he talked to 3 other contractors and they said the roof wasn't installed properly. None of the 3 contractors install Metal Sales metal and are not familiar with their installation procedures. When Mr. [Member Name Removed] called Metal Sales he threatened to sue them that is why they wouldn't talk to him, he also threatened to sue us. I sent a letter to his attorney explaining our side of the story and Mr. [Member Name Removed] called me to meet him at his house which I did, I will be going out to meet Mr. [Member Name Removed] again with a factory from Metal Sales to go over the different ways to install their roofing system."
This was a $59.99 big deal purchase. They sold us a contract to replace our roof, but I canceled the contract within the three day period when I discovered they were lying to me. They did not actually do the work so I can't say what the quality of work would have been. Their sales tactics were unacceptable and the job was horribly overpriced compared to the other bids I got and the actual company that did the work. I certainly would not recommend them but I can't say they did bad work. They probably do okay work. When I set up the appointment I got a sales pitch from their marketing director. He said their estimator would be out and would give me an estimate that was good for a year. I thought that was a little unusual, but nevertheless he did say that. When the salesman came and gave us a very hard sell presenting their price and a lot of discounts that we would only get if we signed a contract that day. I told him the estimate was good for a year and he asked who told me that. I told him it was their sales guy and he said he only told me that to get him in the door. That is just a scam they are running, really. I told the salesman I got a better price and was going to use another company he asked why I did not call him because they would have lowered the price.
"Sorry for the inconvenience. We do offer a 1 Year Price and also a discounted price for that day. This is a common practice in our industry and other companies do that as well. Again, sorry for the inconvenience."
We are nearly two hours' drive from the company's headquarters, and they made a special trip just to give us a quote. Jason, the salesperson, was extremely professional, courteous, and not pushy in the least. Because I myself work in sales, I am familiar with many selling techniques (and I can smell a rat in a heartbeat). Needless to say, i am always on guard when i am the customer. Jason took the time to understand what we wanted and what was important to us. He asked great questions and had thoughtful suggestions. He very carefully explained the product (the windows), the process, and all of the other little things in great detail. He made sure we understood every aspect of the job. We were particularly impressed with the windows themselves, which far exceeded any others we had examined as we were shopping around. He helped us determine the most cost-effective solution, worked within our budget, and making recommendations on what would be worth paying for, and what could be cut out to reduce costs. He never once pushed us to include something we didn't want, and in the end, the price was very reasonable. Communication with Jason and with the company offices was always friendly, courteous, and of the utmost professionalism.
Installation went very smoothly. If there was any hiccup, it was that the installation crew arrived about 45 minutes later than expected. Given that we are 2 hours away and they were arriving early in the morning to location unfamiliar to them, this is certainly understandable. Bob Martier and Davey Colbert were the installers for the two-day job. Both took pride in their work, worked extremely hard, and were clearly experts in their craft. They were very careful around the house, making sure that the woodwork around the windows was not damaged by the installation. All of the windows were solidly installed, and all capping were thoroughly and neatly sealed with caulk. Though Davey was sick the second day, they were still able to get everything (and then some) done within the allotted time.
Bob, in particular, went above and beyond all expectations: During the installation process, he identified that we had a leak in our porch roof, which he repaired at no extra cost,. He also pointed out a few areas where we were losing heat to the outdoors and explained how we could solve the problem, even leaving some materials for us to complete the task. When everything was finished (on time), he left the job site extremely clean.
Overall, the experience was excellent. They are not the dirt-cheapest out there, but cheap is cheap for a reason. The windows are very high-quality, and we are well-pleased with both the windows and the installation. I would not hesitate to hire them a second time.

"Thanks for the review. It was great working with you on your project and please keep us in mind for your next Home Improvement"
"Thanks for the review. I'm glad your happy with your new Roof. Please keep us in mind for your next project."
"I apologize for any misunderstanding but when you were contacted to set up an estimate we were told that you were interested in 3 windows(which is our minimum). If we knew it was only 1 window we could've explained to you that it was in your best interest to find another contractor and never would've set the appointment."
"The issue with the caulking is a manufacturing issue. We gave you the manufacturers contact information and know they said it was their issue that everything was installed correctly by us and the issue is with the caulking material itself, which they are responsible for on their end. We have all the emails from you to the manufacturer that shows their responsible We came and removed and re caulked it once at no charge to you as a courtesy."
I plan on using this company again in the future for other projects and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great product and a great company.
"It was a pleasure working with you. Please keep us in mind for your next project."
