Architectural Living Design

We cannot say enough good things about Ken. He is first of all a real professional and a very skilled craftsman. He can handle any project big or small and is great to colaborate with. We had many ideas as we went along and Ken was always open to a different way to do things that he had not thought of or would tell us if he thought there was a better solution. His prices are very fair and he is very friendly and easy to work with. After working together over several months he has earned our trust and respect. He will be the first one we go to with future projects.

We have used Ken Denton and Architectural Living Designs for over 20years. He has provided wonderful services for us. In our previous home Mr. Denton replaced our roof (and that of several of our neighbors at the same time), tiled our foyer, removed wallpaper and plastered walls, painted, did some electrical work as well as some plumbing. In our current home he had replaced our roof (he also had to replace plywood as the previous contractor did not do a reliable job), redesigned our master bath and completed that, installed laminate and hard wood flooring throughout the house, re-designed, demo-ed the basement, then built the den for us. He has also installed skylights. And the crown molding he installed throughout the house is wonderful - a very nice touch. The siding installing thus far has gone smoothly as well. He is prompt, attentive, listens to what we want, makes suggestions on how to improve on our design, then implement the plans. On two occasions he did come in over budget, however we also changed the design during construction, so that did increase the amount of material we needed - and he generously did not charge us for the full labor costs. Our front porch was a large project that he did for us - and it came out great - we used AZEK materials - and it is perfect!! He is pleasant to deal with and we would highly recommend him to anyone needing any home remodeling. We are planning to build our back deck next year and will use Architectural Living Designs again.

Ken takes precautions to make sure he minimizes dirt and dust throughout the house. He always cleans up before he leaves so that we can at least navigate the work site without having an asthma attack or trip over something. If we change our minds - make that if I change MY mind - he's very patient and will work through my impossible idea, help me to make it work, leave it alone, or come up with a better solution! We would highly recommend Ken's attention to detail, work ethic, and client interface.
