If I had rated these services right after the work was done , I would have given them a solid B+. The workmanship seemed very nice but clean up was a bit spotty. But this spring one of the walkways they paved started to cave in, so I called to see how to repair the problem. The contractor, after several calls, finally showed up to look at the problem, but that was all that ever happened. With repeated calls unanswered and the walkway still in a state of disrepair, I cannot recommend this contractor.

I'd highly recommend Mark and his team for any landscaping/ hardscaping needs. I was trying to match a neighbor's fence that runs along my property, and not having any luck finding the same style. Mark tracked down a matching fence, compared costs, and patiently helped me figure out a plan. The style of fence didn't have gates, so he custom built gates for me. Every post is solidly sunk into concrete, ensuring that it'll stay intact for the long haul. And, despite running into several unexpected obstacles and timing
delays, he was professional and courteous. Mark is a perfectionist who does the job right, no matter what. My neighbors are complimenting his craftsmanship and my new fence! (As an added bonus, he has a great personality and my neighbors really like him, which makes it much easier when doing work in a small community like mine). I'd definitely hire him again for any project. The company's website has lots of photos and provides an excellent overview of the types of projects they've worked on and completed.

We received quotes from three different landscape companies, but felt the most comfortable with the detailed estimate we got from Mark at Diamond Landscaping. He was the only company that included the details of the job on the estimate, and we were confident that he was EP Henry certified. Mark was also able to present several different options for the job, offering advice when needed but not pushing his opinions or ideas. We decided to go with Coventry brick pavers, in a 90-degree herringbone pattern for the walkway, and a matching pattern for the steps and knee walls.

When we hired Mark, he started a week or two after. He demolished the existing steps (two sets of three steps) and tore up all the existing concrete on the first day. Then, he and his crew started working on the steps connecting the walkway to the front porch. It was time consuming, but they were really taking their time to make sure it was right, from getting the right foundation to making sure each course of the steps was square and level. Each day they came, we could see progress, and they kept the worksite (our front yard!) tidy, cleaning up each day.

The job took longer than expected, because of all the rainy days. But, when it was close to completion they spent both Saturday and Sunday on site to finish it up, which was unexpected but appreciated. The finished product looks great, and we wouldn't make any changes.
