I found it extremely hard to find a company that services home elevators and most companies never bothered to call back. From the initial phone call Reading Elevator Service was very professional in they way they handled my call. They did tell me the hourly rate over the phone and the repair technician came with days (it was not an ER call/repair). The repairman introduced himself, was courteous and acted professionally explaining all the questions that I had. I felt he was thorough in examining the unit. It turned out the inside safety door was not aligned to the switch which caused the elevator to stop. After adjusting the door and cleaning the tracks it ran perfectly. He even made several trips to assure me the problem was solved. I highly recommend this company. Yes, it is a bit pricey for an hourly rate but I feel it is a specialty service so is worth the money.
Description of Work: They provided repair service for a home elevator. It turned out to be the safety gate that needed adjustment but the technician checked out and did maintenance (oil) to the system while he was here.
