Extremely fast and professional installation of starter and battery. Customers are treated incredibly well, and professionally. I was very lucky to be introduced to them!

We're glad you were referred to us and feel pretty lucky ourselves! Thanks so much for taking the time to review our team and auto repair center."

"Hi {member's name removed}, I did some checking because your name was not familiar to us, and learned that you'd actually visited the Lee Myles location in Exeter for your plugged tire. Each of the Lee Myles locations is independently owned and operated, so you've inadvertently reviewed the wrong business. However, we'd encourage you to reach out to the team at the Lee Myles in Exeter to share your feedback personally. The location is under new ownership, and we feel confident that they would want to hear how they could meet or exceed your expectations. They are good guys over there and are serious about doing everything they can to make their new business a success. Kind Regards, Jodi at Lee Myles Lancaster Ave"

"Hi [member name removed], Your name wasn't familiar to me, so I did some digging in our old records. From what I can tell, your last visit to our location was when you brought the 1994 Jeep Cherokee in in June of 2005. Our records show that the valve body and computer were replaced in the Jeep for under $2000, but the transmission was not rebuilt here. That visit was actually 9 years ago, when our company was owned and operated by different people. Because of that, I really can't speak to the timing issue or any of the other problems you experienced, although I did notice that around $1000 of the bill was paid by an aftermarket warranty company, and sometimes, they take longer than everyone would like to process claims. Perhaps that was it? I'd encourage you to stop in and see us again today. We've been the owners for nearly 7 years now, and we're known for going the extra mile for our customers. (For instance, we'd put you in a free loaner car to minimize the inconvenience to you if it proved to take longer than expected.) Not sure who the "former employees" would be that you're referring to, as we hired many new employees when we took over, and most of our guys have been with us for 5 years or more. Certainly, we understand that a bad experience can stick with you for a long time, but unfortunately for us, I suspect we have a sort of "mistaken identity" situation here, as the ownership is different than it was when you were in 9 years ago. Best Regards, Darren & Jodi"

I have been to Lee Myles on Lancaster Ave several times in the past few years.  I have always been treated honestly and fairly and been given very reasonable prices.  I will continue to use this shop to service and repair my vehicle.  I always know that they do what is needed to get my car running right and never try to sell me more than I need.  Last time I was there, they even offered to give me a ride to where I needed to go while they worked on my car.  Their great service along with their honesty and integrity go a long way with me.
Response from Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions

"Thanks, Member! We appreciate your business and your kind words about our honesty & integrity. That means a lot. Glad the courtesy shuttle came in handy, and the car's running well. We look forward to your next visit!"

I was disappointed enough where I lost faith in their integrity, and I resolved to take the transaxle repair elsewhere (for $600 less to boot). With the onboard diagnostics (OBDII) available on a car with an electronically controlled transaxle, and this trans (GM 4T65E) exhibiting a telltale whine noise, I didn’t see the need for that filter / fluid change.
Response from Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions

"When we do a good job of explaining and communicating with our customers, we create long-term customers who have rock-solid faith that we have their best interests at heart. Unfortunately, it looks like we really dropped the ball in the communication department. While we do offer and advertise our Free VIP Check, the Check includes initial computer diagnostics (aka "free engine light check"), a road test, and a fluid/leak check. Dropping the pan isn't part of the initial diagnostics, and it does incur additional cost due to the technicians' time and the fluids involved. We try to be careful not to advertise a blanket statement like "Free Diagnostics" because it can lead to just this kind of misunderstanding. I pulled your work order so that I'd be able to get more info from the person you interacted with, but it's been a couple of years since you were in, and he's no longer with our company. It's likely that he believed the whining noise you were hearing was mechanical, due to a partially clogged or dislodged trans filter. Had he been correct, the $150 would have been a much less expensive fix, saving you well over $1000-2000. If he was incorrect, we could have credited the $150 toward a major repair on your transmission. But I suspect, none of this was communicated to you properly. For that, I hope you can accept our sincere apology and know that our current staff are sticklers for transparent, plain-English explanations. Clear communication goes a long way toward building your confidence in us - especially in the automotive industry where the stereotype is that all mechanics are shady. I realize it doesn't undo your past experience, but hope that we can reassure you that professionalism & ethics are qualities we aren't willing to compromise on. We'd be honored if you'd consider giving us another try at some point, with the understanding that our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible with the repairs & recommendations you receive from us."

I would absolutely not hire this company for a future job, very rude
Response from Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions

"Hi Member, we're so disappointed to hear you had a bad experience at our Center. Not knowing the details of what happened, we can only apologize and let you know that we'd love to have a conversation with you about the situation. They say that most customers leave without the Company ever knowing there was a problem. But we appreciate every opportunity to make our team better, and believe it or not, would rather have your concerns out in the open so we can address them. Customer service is something we're not willing to shrug off, so if you'd be willing to give us another try sometime or even just give us a call to chat, we'd consider it a favor to us & our business. Sincerely, the Lancaster Ave Team"

I was disappointed when I got back in the car.  Apparently they had spilled some oil.  I had a burning oil smell in the car for a couple of days after.  I haven’t been back since.  I had been going to Lee Myles for 10 to 15 years.  Hank Smith was the service adviser I worked with when I was using their service.  He was fine; I just had problems with whoever worked on my car.  I just was not happy with this last service.   I have had oil changes at the dealership and never had the smell.  My guess is someone just did some sloppy work.
Response from Lee Myles Auto Care & Transmissions

"Hi Member, we're so sorry to hear about your experience and sincerely would have liked the opportunity to make it right for you. We do our very best to ensure that we protect our customers' vehicles, but if a mistake happened, we'd want to make it right. You were a very good customer, and we do hate to lose you. If you'd give us a call by phone, perhaps we'd be able to make it up to you - no cost, of course."
